How do I fill the water tank?

Ensure the iron is unplugged and cool. Open the water tank flap and pour water up to the MAX level. Do not exceed.

What kind of water should I use?

Normal tap water is fine. If the water is very hard, use distilled or demineralized water. Do not use chemically decalcified water.

How do I select the correct temperature?

Check the garment's care label. Use the temperature knob to set the appropriate level: synthetic, silk, wool, cotton, or linen. For mixed fabrics, use the lower temperature.

How do I use the steam burst function?

Set the temperature to MAX. Wait for the indicator light to go off. Press the steam burst button once. Wait a few seconds between bursts.

Why is water leaking from the soleplate?

This can happen if the temperature is too low for steam ironing. Turn the temperature knob to a higher setting (at least ‘●●’). The leaking should stop.

How do I use the self-cleaning function?

Unplug the iron. Set steam control to ‘☒’. Fill tank to MAX. Select maximum temperature. Plug in and wait for light to go off. Unplug, hold over sink, and press self-clean lever. Move iron back and forth until water is empty.

How should I store the iron?

After use, turn off and unplug. Empty water tank. Let cool completely. Wrap cord around iron and store upright in a cool, dry place.

What does the indicator light mean?

The light turns on when the iron is heating and turns off when the set temperature is reached. It cycles on/off to maintain temperature.

Can I iron delicate fabrics like silk?

Yes, use the lowest temperature setting (synthetic) and test on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid steam on delicate fabrics.

What should I do if the iron stops heating?

Check if the temperature knob is set to a non-zero position and the plug is connected. If it still doesn't heat, contact authorized service. The protection system may have activated.

Thank you for purchasing the Steam iron 1800W Innoliving INN-678.

Before use, read the instruction manual carefully and keep this manual safe for future references.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• After removing the packaging, check the integrity of the appliance. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorized customer care center.
• The packing elements (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc.) must not be left within the reach of children or people with reduced mental capacities, as they are potential sources of danger.
• Always make sure that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the technical data label and that the system is compatible with the power of the appliance.
• This appliance is intended for domestic use only for ironing fabrics. Any other use is to be considered improper and dangerous.
• The iron must always be switched off before connecting or disconnecting the plug from the mains. Do not pull the cable, to disconnect the plug from the electrical socket.
• If the power cord is damaged or defective, it must be replaced by an authorized technical assistance service or by the manufacturer, to avoid any danger.
• Once the ironing is over or when the iron must be left unattended, make sure to:
• Turn the steam control knob (4) to the "×" position, and

the temperature setting knob (9) in the "OFF" position;

- Place the iron in an upright position;

- Disconnect the product from the main socket.

- The appliance can be used by children over 8 years of age and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or with lack of experience or knowledge, if supervised or instructed to use the appliance in safety conditions and prior understanding of the related risks. Children must be supervised so that they do not play with the appliance.

- Never immerse the appliance or cord in water or other liquids.

- Do not touch the metal parts of the product, hot water or steam. These parts get very hot and can cause burns. Be careful when turning the iron upside down, hot water left in the tank could come out.

- Do not let the plug or cord come into contact with the hot plate. Allow the product to cool completely before storing. Then roll the cord around the iron for storage.

- Unplug the product from the power outlet before filling or emptying the water tank.

- To avoid overloading the circuit, do not use another high voltage appliance in the same electrical circuit while using the iron.

- The use of adapters, multiple sockets and extension cords is not recommended. If necessary, use only approved

devices that comply with current safety standards, making sure that they are compatible with the power of the appliance. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified personnel.

• When placing the iron vertically, make sure that the surface on which the iron rests is stable.
• Do not use the product if it has been dropped, if there is visible damage or if you notice leaks.

NOTE:

• Some parts of the iron were lightly oiled during production and as a result, the iron may emit a little steam during the first use. This is completely normal and will disappear with the first few uses.
• Before using the product for the first time make sure to remove any adhesive or protective film on the soleplate. We recommend cleaning the plate with a soft cloth moistened with water.
• The cleaning and maintenance operations described in this manual must not be performed by children without adult supervision.
• Do not use the appliance with bare feet or with wet hands and feet.
• Do not use the appliance outside the domestic environment.

• Do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain, etc.).

• Do not leave the appliance connected to the mains unattended.

• Any installation that does not comply with the specifications can compromise your safety and invalidate the guarantee.
• Use the product on a flat and stable surface.
• The iron must be used and left to rest on a stable and heat resistant surface.
• Do not leave the iron and the power cord within the reach of children under the age of 8 if is plugged in or while it is cooling down.
• Before using the product for the first time, it is recommended to test it first on an old piece of cloth to make sure that the soleplate and tank have been properly cleaned.

IRONING

IMPORTANT: read "Important safety instructions" before use.

CHOICE OF WATER

This iron can be used with normal running water.

If the water in your area is particularly hard, it is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water.

Do not use chemically decalcified water or other liquids to fill the tank.

HOW TO FILL THE TANK

. Place the steam control knob (4) in position "☒" and the temperature setting knob (9) in the "OFF" position.

. Disconnect the product from the mains and let it cool down completely.

. Pour the water into the water tank (2).

. Fill the tank with the desired quantity of water taking care not to exceed the MAX level indicated on the tank.

TEMPERATURE SETTING

. Always consult the washing and ironing label inside the garments to be ironed.

. If the information for ironing is not present, but you know the type of fabric, refer to the table below.

. First of all, it is advisable to divide the garments according to the fabric: wool with wool, cotton with cotton, etc. First iron the more delicate fabrics that require low temperatures and then the more resistant ones that require high temperatures; this is because the iron heats up faster than it needs to cool down.

. If the garment is made of different fibers (for example cotton with polyester), always select the temperature for the material which requires a lower ironing temperature.

Before starting ironing, pass the iron over a small inconspicuous area of your garment to make sure that the selected temperature is suitable for the type of fabric.

. Insert the plug into the socket and place the iron in a vertical position.

. Set the desired temperature using the appropriate knob (9).

. The indicator light goes off as soon as the iron has reached the set temperature. The indicator light turns on and off during use, indicating that the temperature of this soleplate is kept constant.

WATER SPRAY

This function can be used at any time and does not affect the ironing temperature.

. Fill the tank with water as previously indicated.

. Point the nebulizer spray towards the garment to be ironed.

. Press the water spray button (5).

STEAM IRONING

This function can only be used using the highest temperatures.

• For a moderate burst of steam

••• or MAX for maximum burst of steam.

. Fill the tank with water, as previously indicated.

. Place the iron in a vertical position.

. Connect the device to the mains.

. Set the temperature with the appropriate knob (9) on the setting "●●", "●●●" or MAX.

. The indicator light goes out when the selected temperature is reached. The iron is ready for use.

. Position the steam control knob (4) on the desired position, steam will begin to come out of the holes on the soleplate.

Warning: With conventional steam ironing, water may leak from the soleplate of the iron if a too low temperature is selected. In this case, turn the temperature setting knob (9) to increase the temperature. The steam will start coming out again as soon as the right temperature is reached.

When the iron is placed vertically, during ironing pauses, the steam delivery stops automatically. When using for the first time, some drops of water may come out together with the steam.

This is to be considered normal. Before ironing your garments, do some tests on an old fabric.

SPRAY OF STEAM

This function provides an extra boost of steam to remove stubborn creases.

. Fill the iron tank with water, as previously described.

. Turn the temperature control to the "MAX" position.

. The light goes off when the desired temperature is reached.

. The iron is ready for use.

. Press the steam button (6) once.

. The steam will penetrate the garment removing creases.

. Wait a few seconds before pressing the steam spray button again if there are particularly stubborn creases.

Generally, all creases are removed by activating the steam spray three times.

DRY IRONING

. Connect the iron to a power outlet.

. Make sure that the steam control knob (4) is in the " 來" position

. Select the desired temperature using the appropriate knob (9).

. The light goes off when the appliance has reached the desired temperature.

The iron is ready to use.

SELF-CLEANING SYSTEM

You can use the self-clean function to remove scale and impurities.

Use the self-cleaning function once every two weeks. If the water in your area is very hard, the self-cleaning function should be performed more frequently.

a) Make sure the appliance is unplugged.

b) Set the steam control knob to the " 🔍" position

c) Fill the water tank up to the maximum level indicated.

d) Select the maximum ironing temperature.

e) Insert the plug into the socket.

f) Unplug the iron when the light goes off.

g) Holding the iron over the sink, press and hold the lever to the self-clean position and gently move the iron back and forth. (Steam and boiling water will come out of the soleplate. Impurities, if any, will be eliminated.)

h) Release the lever as soon as all the water in the tank has been removed.

i) Repeat the self-cleaning process if the iron still contains a lot of impurities.

j) Do not come into contact with the water that comes out of the plate as it is hot and you could burn yourself.

Before using the iron again to iron the garment, pass the cold soleplate over a dry cotton cloth.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Turn the temperature setting knob (9) to "OFF", then unplug the iron from the socket and let it cool down completely. Empty the tank.

2. Any residue on the soleplate of the iron can be removed with a cloth soaked in a solution of vinegar and water.

3. The product body can be cleaned with a damp cloth and then dried with a dry cloth.

4. Never use abrasive products to clean the soleplate of the iron.

5. Keep the plate smooth; avoid contact with metal objects.

STORAGE

. Turn the temperature setting knob (9) to "OFF" and set the steam control knob (4) to the "

' position (= no steam).

. Unplug the iron from the wall outlet.

. Remove the remaining water from the tank.

. Place the iron upright and let it cool down completely.

. The power cord can then be rolled around the iron and stored in a cool, dry place.

. Store the iron in an upright position.

PROTECTION SYSTEM

In the event of a thermostat malfunction, the protection system prevents the iron from overheating.

In the event of a malfunction of the thermostat, contact the authorized technical assistance service.
