Frequently Asked Questions - BKK 2400 BEKO

How do I adjust the water amount for different cup sizes?
Remove the pot from its seat. Press and hold the 2-serving button for 3 seconds to enter water adjustment mode. Then press the 1-serving (small cup, ~55 ml), 2-serving (medium, ~65 ml), or 3-serving (large, ~75 ml) button within 3 seconds.
What do the different light colors and blinking patterns mean?
Steady white: ready. Steady red: brewing. Blinking red: coffee ready, remove pot. Flashing pink: cooking error – clean sensor and base. Steady pink: time-out error – restart. Flashing blue: no water – refill tank.
How do I descale the coffee maker?
Pour one dessert spoon of citric acid crystals into the pot, add boiling water to fill 1/3 of the pot. Wait 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Do not use vinegar or commercial descalers unless specified.
Why is my coffee not foamy?
Ensure the pot and heating surface are clean and dry. Use fresh coffee and the correct grind. The SpinJet technology automatically stirs for foam, but dirty parts can reduce foam.
Can I use the coffee pot on a stove or other heat source?
No. The pot is designed exclusively for use with this coffee maker. Using it on a stove can damage the pot and void warranty.
How often should I clean the water tank?
Hand-wash the water tank at least every three months with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reattaching.
Why does the appliance make a loud noise during brewing?
A slight noise is normal due to pumping and heating. If excessively loud, check for water drops under the pot – they can cause sizzling. Dry the pot base and heating surface.
What should I do if the brewing detection sensor is dirty?
Wipe the sensor (located near the pot seat) with a damp cloth every 15-20 brewing cycles. A dirty sensor may cause cooking errors or no start.
The appliance does not turn on. What can I check?
Ensure it is plugged into a grounded outlet with 16A fuse. Check the power cable for damage. If still off, try a different outlet. If problem persists, contact service.
Can I make more than 3 servings at a time?
No. The machine is designed for 1-3 servings per cycle. For more, wait for the machine to cool and repeat the process.
