2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
2.1. Product usage
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Use the lid handle to lift the top lid to the open position.
- Insert the plug into a suitable socket (230 V \~ 50 Hz). The red light will light up. Close the lid.
- While preheating, prepare the waffle batter.
• After approximately 2 to 3 minutes, the green light will light up indicating the unit is preheated and ready for use. - For the best results, use a non-stick cooking spray to lightly coat the non-stick plates before cooking. This will help removing the waffles after they have been cooked.
- Recipes may vary in cooking time and brownness; batters with more sugar will brown quicker. Note the perfect bake time for each batter recipe for future use.
- When the waffle maker is preheated, follow the recipe, fill each of mould on the lower cooking plate to almost full - use approximately 1 rounded teaspoon to a scant tablespoon of batter.
Note: Do not overfill, as the batter will expand when cooked. - Use the handle to lower to the top lid and close the waffle maker, allow to cook for approximately 10-15 minutes or until done.
Note: Check if ready by inserting a dry toothpick into the center of the waffle. If it comes out dry, the waffle is ready. - If necessary, cover and continue cooking for 30 seconds at a time until the waffles are browned and cooked to your liking.
- The green light will cycle on and off as the unit maintains cooking temperatures.
- Wearing oven mitts, wipe the outside with a clean paper towel or cleaning cloth, if necessary.
- At the end of the cooking time, use the handle to lift the top lid.
- Wearing oven mitts, remove the waffles from the cooking plate using a non-metallic utensil. A small plastic spoon will help remove the waffles.
Note: If additional waffles are to be baked, keep the waffle maker closed to retain heat.
Note: Wafflesmade later may bake faster because extra heat has been retained. It may be necessary to adjust to a shorter cooking time to accommodate.
