Installation

- Before starting the installation of IB-872-i3, please make sure that your computer is unplugged from the power supply.

• Open the PC case and remove the cover of your free 3.5" slot on the front side.
• Now push the IB-872-i3 card reader with the USB cable first into the 3.5" slot until the front panel of the IB-872-i3 is on the same level as the front panel of your PC.

• Fix the card reader IB-872-i3 to your PC with the screws supplied.

- Plug the 20 pin USB 3.0 connector of the integrated cable into the USB 3.0 20 pin connector on your mainboard.

- Close the PC case and reconnect your computer to the power supply.

Starting up

• Turn on your PC.
• After booting your PC, the IB-872-i3 card reader is automatically recognized and ready for operation (power LED shines blue). The necessary USB drivers are already pre-installed by Windows®.

- The IB-872-i3 supports Multi-LUN. All memory cards can be used at the same time. (please note in this case that the bandwidth of the USB 3.0 connection is shared).

- Insert your memory cards as follows:

• MS memory cards with the gold contacts facing down
• SD memory cards with the golden contacts facing down
- microSD memory cards with the golden contacts facing upwards
• CF memory cards wide groove right side, thin groove left side

• If a memory card is active, the status LED flashes green.
