Product description

Cleaning using steam is a safe way of cleaning in the home. The product can sterilize and disinfect using the steam which is produced and is suitable for use in bathrooms, toilets and on glass furniture, kitchen utensils and cars etc. It can also be used to clean clothes. It removes both visible dirt and invisible bacteria. The steam cleaner is also a great help when cleaning not only floors and walls but also corners and every nook and cranny.

Safety

First test a small surface or object if you are unaccustomed to using the steam cleaner or unsure of which materials your can use the steam cleaner on. The surface/object which is to be cleaned must withstand high temperatures and high atmospheric humidity.

  • Before use, ensure that the equipment is whole and in working order. The steam cleaner must not be used if it has been dropped or damaged in any way.
  • The power cable should be checked regularly. If the power cable is damaged it must be changed at the place of purchase or at a qualified repair shop.
  • The steam cleaner jet must never be aimed directly at electronic goods or electrical installations.
  • Never aim the steam cleaner jet at yourself or any other person as the jet is very hot and may cause personal injury.
  • Always switch the steam cleaner off when it is not being used.
  • Always disconnect the steam cleaner cable after use as well as before cleaning the machine.
  • Never use the steam cleaner in or close to swimming pools which contain water.
  • Never place the steam cleaner in the proximity of heat sources such as fire, radiators, heaters, hot-air fans etc.
  • Never open the safety lid during use or when there is excess steam left in the container.
  • The steam cleaner contains a thermostat which regulates the temperature and prevents overheating. If the temperature still keeps on rising, disconnect the cable immediately and stop using the steam cleaner. Send the product off to be serviced.
  • Never cover the steam cleaner during or directly after use.

Getting started

Before using the product for the first time it must be cleaned. See section on Care and maintenance.

Connecting attachments

  1. Connect the tracks of the steam cleaner outflow to the internal guideways of the attachment.
  2. Carefully push the attachment in a short distance before turning it slightly in the direction of the arrow.
  3. Then push the attachment all the way in and continue turning it a quarter revolution in the direction of the arrow until the attachment is securely fastened. The marking on the attachment should be aligned with the marking on the steam cleaner.
  4. Disassemble the attachment in the opposite order.

Connecting the extension tubes

  1. Connect the threaded part of the extension tube onto the steam cleaner outflow and tighten the locking nut.
  2. When necessary, connect the lower extension tube by sliding it onto the upper tube until the pipe is locked on.
  3. Loosen the lower pipe by pressing the locking button while pulling the tube straight out.

Floor nozzle

The floor nozzle is connected to the flexible attachment adapter of the extension tube. Angle the adapter straight down and push it into the floor nozzle connection. Thereafter turn the adapter straight up and connect the extension tube.

Straight nozzle

The straight nozzle is used as an extension of the steam cleaner outflow. The nozzle provides a good jet of steam and cleans cramped spaces effectively. It is possible to attach a flexible nozzle or nozzle with a brush onto this nozzle.

Round brush

Suitable for cleaning surfaces such as toilet rims, kitchens, skirting boards, step corners etc. The brush can also be used for cleaning clothes. Connect to the straight nozzle or to the extension tube's attachment adapter.

Round copper brush

Hard copper brush for cleaning toilet rims, kitchens etc. Connect to the straight nozzle or to the extension tube's attachment adapter.

Flexible nozzle

Suitable for cleaning surfaces which are hard to reach. Connect to the straight nozzle or to the extension tube's attachment adapter.

Textile cloth

The removable textile cloth is suitable when ironing clothes etc. Mount the cloth by pulling it over the textile adapter. The holder can also be used without the cleaning cloth to remove creases in clothes and textiles.

Squeegee

The squeegee is used for cleaning windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces. PLEASE NOTE! Never use the steam cleaner on windows or glass surfaces which are too cold as the difference in temperature will lead to them being damaged, directly or in the future. To be mounted on the textile adapter.

Use

Tip!

First test a small surface or object if you are unaccustomed to using the steam cleaner or unsure of which materials your can use the steam cleaner on. The surface/object which is to be cleaned must withstand high temperatures and high atmospheric humidity.

  1. Ensure that the steam cleaner has cooled down and that no excess steam remains in the container before unscrewing the filling lid. (See section on Care and maintenance.)
  2. Use the enclosed funnel and measuring scoop when filling the steam cleaner container with clean water. Fill the container with a maximum of 1500 ml. Fill the container slowly to prevent spillage and splashing.
  3. Refit the filling lid by screwing it clockwise until the lid valve is closed tightly. Thereafter mount the necessary attachments.
  4. Ensure that the steam cleaner power switch (7) is in the off position ("0") and that the steam button (9) is not pressed down. Thereafter connect the plug to a socket.
  5. Turn the switch (7) to position "1". The power switch indicator lamp goes on and the steam cleaner starts to heat up.
  6. When the pressure indicator (5) goes on the required steam pressure has been reached and the steam cleaner is ready to be used.
  7. Release the locking button (8), press the steam button (9) and move the jet slowly over the surfaces which are to be cleaned. Keep the outflow approx. 2 - 3 cm from the surface.

Please note! Do not keep the steam button pressed down. Instead, let the steam out in short burst to economize with the steam. Release the steam button when the steam starts to run out and try again after approx. 10 seconds.

  1. When the steam cleaner emits a signal the water level is low and it must be refilled. Ensure that the steam cleaner has cooled off before refilling it (see items 1 to 6).
  2. Always disconnect the power cable plug after use and let the steam cleaner cool off properly before releasing excess steam (See Care and maintenance).
  3. During frequent use: Switch the power switch off (7), disconnect the power cable (3) and press the steam button (9) to release any excess steam. Let the steam cleaner cool off before opening the filling lid to fill new water. Thereafter follow items 2 to 8 above.

Care and maintenance

Releasing excess steam

Switch the power switch off (7), disconnect the power cable (3) and press the steam button (9) to release any excess steam. Let the steam cleaner cool off before opening the filling lid to fill new water.

Cleaning

  1. Ensure that the steam cleaner is disconnected from the mains before starting cleaning.
  2. To avoid electric shock, never clean the steam cleaner using water. The machine casing and attachments can be cleaned using a dry cloth.
  3. If the steam cleaner is used regularly the container should be filled with water and shaken to remove coatings at least once per month. Thereafter empty the container.
  4. When cleaning, ensure that the tube, nozzle and steam outflow are not blocked.

Storage

Store the steam cleaner in a dry, ventilated space.

Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product. If you are unsure about how to dispose of this product contact your municipality.
