10 OPERATION
10.1 operating instructions
10.1.1 Operating instructions:
The right temperature is an important requirement for a successful solder joint while soldering. If the temperature is too low, the solder not distributed properly so that it comes to so-called cold soldering. At too high a temperature, the flux evaporates, so that the solder flows poorly. In addition, the components can be damaged with too high temperature. The recommended temperature of the solder can be found in the packaging. The most common solder containing 60% tin and 40% lead.
Note: It is recommended to use with non-corrosive solder flux.
The soldering gun has 3 temperature settings that are set by controller (3).
Level A:
Temperature of 70 to 200 degrees - welding and cutting of plastic parts.
STAGE B:
Temperature of 200 to 350 degrees - and tin soldering or working on circuit boards, circuit boards and the like.
Level C:
Temperature 350 to 500 degrees - Where use is required by high temperatures. e.g. Wood engraving etc.
10.2 Operation
Switch on:
Pressing the ON - OFF button (5) the work light and the unit will be turned on. Releasing the button ends the operation and the work light goes out.
After the end of the soldering:
- Remove excess tin from the soldering tip on the damp sponge (2) prior to the soldering tip before the torch is turned off.
- Let the soldering gun cool down after soldering. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when the torch is no longer used. Let the soldering gun to the final cooling unattended!
10.2.1 Changing the tip
- Wait until the tip and fixing nuts are well cooled.
- Loosen the fixing nuts and remove the soldering tip.
- Clean the heater and lightly lubricate with a thin film of oil.
- Install a new tip and secure with the two nuts.
11 MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION

During cleaning and maintenance with connected machine: Property damage and serious injury from inadvertent switching on the machine!
Therefore:
Switch the machine off and disconnect it from the power supply before any maintenance works or cleaning is carried out
11.1 Cleaning
The full and regular cleaning of the machine ensures a long life and is a safety requirement. Use only mild detergent, ie no gasoline, kerosene, soda etc ...
- Always unplug the mains lead before cleaning.
- Dry the soldering gun with a soft, lightly moistened cloth. Never use strong cleaning solutions or solvents.
- Make sure that no moisture gets into any of the soldering gun's openings.
- To clean the soldering tip thoroughly use a fine grade sandpaper to remove any oxides or other contaminants on a regular basis or after about 20 hours of use.
Note: Never set the soldering gun to high during long periods as this can damage the soldering tip.
