Frequently Asked Questions - 9494-3 RADEMACHER

How do I pair a DuoFern device with the wall controller?
Put the DuoFern device into registering mode (see its manual). Then on the wall controller, simultaneously press and hold buttons TL + T1 for 1 second. The green LED flashes. Within 120 seconds, the device will be logged on. A successful log-on is indicated by the green LED lighting up for 2 seconds.
What battery does the wall controller use and how do I replace it?
The wall controller uses a CR2450 coin cell battery (3V). To replace: carefully pull the operating unit from the wall bracket, press out the old battery with a non-conductive object, insert the new battery with the positive terminal outward, then snap the unit back into place.
What is the range of the DuoFern wall controller?
The range is approximately 30 meters indoors and 100 meters outdoors. Actual range may vary due to building materials and interference from other radio devices.
How do I activate jog mode for venetian blinds?
To activate jog mode, simultaneously press and hold buttons TR + T1 for 5 seconds. The LED changes from green (active) to red (inactive) or vice versa. In jog mode, short taps tilt the slats, long presses move the blind fully.
Can I connect the wall controller to a HomePilot system?
Yes, the DuoFern Wall Controller is compatible with RADEMACHER HomePilot® as a central controller. It can be logged on as a DuoFern device within the HomePilot network.
What does the red LED flashing three times mean?
A red LED flashing three times when pressing any button indicates a low battery. Replace the battery with a new CR2450 as soon as possible.
How do I perform a factory reset?
Simultaneously press and hold buttons TL + T2 until the red LED first flashes then lights up continuously. This deletes all settings and logs off all DuoFern devices, restoring factory defaults.
Can I change the direction of rotation of a connected motor?
Yes, if only one motor is logged on. Check by pressing TR + T2 briefly; if green LED flashes, direction can be changed. Then hold TR + T2 for 5 seconds to toggle rotation direction.
Is the wall controller waterproof?
No, the wall controller has protection class II and is designed for use in dry rooms only. Do not expose it to moisture or rain.
What do I do if the device does not respond?
First, check the battery (replace if needed). Ensure the wall controller is within range of the connected devices. Try a software reset (press TL+T2 until red LED steady). If problems persist, contact RADEMACHER service at service@rademacher.de.
