Frequently Asked Questions - ZI-LGR40V-AKKU Zipper

How do I know when the battery is fully charged?
When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator lights solid green.
What do the LED lights mean during charging?
The LED shows: solid red when the charger is connected to mains, flashing green while charging, solid green when fully charged, and flashing red to indicate a fault.
Can I charge non-Zipper batteries with this charger?
No, only use the charger for the specified Zipper batteries (ZI-BTR40V-AKKU and ZI-BTR40V2AH-AKKU). Using other batteries may cause fire or explosion.
Can I use the charger outdoors?
No, the charger is intended for indoor use only. Do not expose it to rain or moisture to avoid electric shock.
What should I do if the LED flashes red?
A flashing red LED indicates a fault. Check if the battery is too hot or too cold (allow it to reach 0°C-40°C). Clean the contacts and reinsert. If it persists, the battery or charger may be defective; have it checked by a professional.
How should I store the charger and batteries?
Store the charger and batteries separately in a dry, frost-free place at 10-25°C. For long-term storage, keep batteries partially charged (optimum 60%).
Can I leave the battery on the charger after it's fully charged?
The charger automatically stops charging when the battery is full, and the LED turns solid green. You can leave it on, but it's best to disconnect for optimal battery life.
What is the proper charging procedure?
Plug the power cord into the charger, then plug into mains (LED solid red). Insert the battery fully (LED flashes green). When solid green, press the release button and remove the battery. Finally, unplug the charger.
How should I clean the charger?
Disconnect the charger from mains. Clean the housing with a dry cloth or paint brush. Keep the ventilation slits clean and dust-free.
