How do I change the styling attachment on the Maestro MR229?

To change the styling attachment, simply pull it off and snap a new one into place. The curls size depends on the attachment diameter; the included 19 mm brush creates small curls for short hair.

What do the different speed settings on the MR229 do?

The switch (C) has three positions: 0 (OFF), 1 (low speed/temperature for delicate hair drying and modeling), and 2 (high speed/temperature for rapid drying). Use position 1 for fine hair and position 2 for thicker hair.

Can I use the Maestro MR229 in the bathroom?

Yes, but with caution. Never use near water (bathtub, sink, etc.) and unplug when not in use. For added safety, install a residual current device (RCD) rated at 30 mA in the bathroom circuit.

How do I remove hair wrapped around the brush?

After styling, press the roll-out button (B) to release the brush and unroll the hair section. Do not pull forcefully. If hair is stuck, switch off and unplug before gently removing.

Safety instructions

When using your appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Hair sprays and fixers contain inflammable components. Do not use them when the device is ON. Do not direct sprays of any kind or water on the device.
• Before using the device, wipe the hair with towel.
• It is forbidden to close the inlet and outlet openings on the device.
• From time to time clean the intake grille to prevent any blocking air intake. Make sure that there is no objects, hair in the suction pipe. If airflow is blocked while the hairdryer operates (e.g., by hair or pile, or by hand), the device automatically turns off. Once it has cooled down (after a few minutes), it is automatically switched on again.
  Despite the fact that the device is equipped with protection against overheating, it can be damaged, if air flow stops.

Actions in extreme situations

- If your device has fallen into water or water has penetrated it, immediately disconnect it from the mains without contacting the device itself or the water.

- If there appears smoke, sparkling, strong smell of burning isolation, immediately stop using the device, disconnect the device from the mains and apply to the nearest service center.

Before startup

• Remove all wrap materials and stickers
• Make sure that all the parts of appliance don't have damages.
• Unwind the power cord completely.

ATTENTION! A small quantity of smoke or a specific smell may appear after the first switching ON as the result of conservation materials contact with heating element. This is a normal phenomenon and it shall disappear after several minutes of operation.

Changing the styling attachments

Remove the styling attachment by pulling it off. Place a different styling attachment and allow it to latch in place.

Notes:

The size of curls depends on the diameter of the styling attachment. The styling attachment with a diameter of 19 mm creates small curls and is especially suitable for short hair.

• Before switching on the hairdryer to the power supply, make sure that the device switch (C / Pic.1) is set to "0" (OFF).
• Connect the device to the power supply.
• Choose the desired operating mode by the Switch (C /Pic.1):

0 (OFF) -	the device is switched off
1 First rate uses half of the power of the device, used for delicate hair drying and for modeling.
2 The second speed includes the entire capacity of the device and is used for rapid hair drying.

• After rolling in the hair section allow the heat to set for few seconds.
• Unroll your hair section by pressing the roll-out button (B/Picture1). This releases the brush and it can be rolled out of the curled section.
• After use, switch off the appliance with the button (C/Picture1) and pull out the power cord from the wall socket.

CAUTION: If the hairdryer stopped its work for an unknown reason, just set the switch A to position "0" off and unplug the device.

Let it cool down. Then check the air intake grille, and in case of contamination clean it or hold the hairdryer a little further away from the hair while operation.

Maintenance and care

WARNING!

• Before cleaning the appliance in any way, make sure that the appliance plug is not connected to the socket.
• Always unplug from the plug socket and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
• Never place it in water or any other liquid.

- Wipe the housing first with a slight wet then with soft dry cloth. Let it dry completely.

- Regularly clean the intake grille from hair and dust with a small, soft brush.

- Any other maintenance should be performed by qualified personnel in the service center.

• For hanging the hairdryer is provided with the cable loop
• Keep the appliance in cool dry place, away from children and persons with reduced mental or physical capabilities.
