  • Hot surfaces as well as the food in the dish are initially still hot, even after switch-off!
  • Be careful when working with hot liquids or food!
  • When opening the lid, hot steam or hot water may escape!
  • Do never bend over the appliance during operation!

Thus, act with caution:

• Always have this manual ready when using the appliance!
- We recommend using potholders for protection when taking out the hot food resp. the stainless steel dish and when stirring.
- When using the appliance, always respect the specified maximum filling quantity of the stainless steel dish!
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands!
- Do never bend over the appliance during operation, or when the appliance is still hot!
- Do not pour liquids or food directly into the appliance. Always use the stainless steel dish to heat liquids or food!
- Do not pour liquids directly into the appliance to cool it down!
- The contact surface between the stainless steel dish and the lower heating surface must be dry, clean and free of foreign particles!
- Do only use the original accessory parts!
- Do not use any sharp or pointed objects to clean the appliance. Sharp and pointed objects can damage the heating surfaces and lead to a defect. If deep scratches or holes are visible, do not use the appliance!
- Do not use the appliance in an ambient temperature below 10 °C or above 45 °C!
- Observe the following when setting up the appliance:

To make sure you can enjoy using this appliance for a long time, please read through and carefully observe the following notes. Keep this instruction manual safely. Hand out all

Intended use

The appliance designed to be used in the household and similar areas, like for example:

  • in kitchens for employees in shops, offices and other small commercial areas,
  • in agricultural holdings,
  • by guests in hotels, motels and further similar living environments,
  • in the workplace (office, workshop, building site) as well as in educational facilities.

Other uses or modifications of the appliance are not intended and may constitute considerable risks of accident.

For damage arising from any improper use, the manufacturer does not assume liability. The appliance is intended for heating, warming up and preparing food. The appliance is not designed for commercial use.

Disposal/recycling information

According to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive, do not dispose this product with your normal domestic waste at the end of its life span. Therefore, please deliver it at no charge to your appropriately licensed local collecting facilities (e.g. recycling yard) concerned with the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Please approach your local authorities for how to dispose of the product.

Prior to initial use

Please remove any protective films, advertising materials and packaging material from the appliance and from the accessory parts. Clean the appliance and all removable accessory parts according to the cleaning instructions in this manual.

Heat up the appliance with inserted and filled removable stainless steel dish (250 ml water) in manual mode for approx. 15 minutes. Then pour out the water and clean the appliance and the stainless steel dish.

NOTE: Please do not be bothered by the slight, harmless smoke and smell that will be generated for a short while. Make sure that the room is well-aerated during this time.

After the appliance has cooled down, please clean the heating plate and the surface of the base unit with a moist cloth. Let it dry thoroughly. For more information, please refer to "Cleaning and maintenance".

To use your appliance effectively, you can portion prepared meals and store them in several removable stainless steel dishes. Then you have a delicious supply ready for several meals.

Use the Original Accessory Set Type HB 2, consisting of 2 removable stainless steel dishes of 925 ml, each with a leak-proof transport lid and removable divider.

Ask your specialist dealer, specialist store, mail order company, online shop.

Handling

You can operate and control the HeatsBox ^® in two ways. Either manually by using the ON/OFF button or digitally via a particular app. To control the appliance by smartphone, a Bluetooth ^® connection (*) is required. This connection has to be active as soon as the operation of the appliance starts.

Operating the appliance

Attention: Hazard of injury/burns/scalding!

  • The surfaces of the appliance, casing cover, stainless steel dish and other accessories are getting hot during operation!
  • Hot surfaces as well as the contents of the stainless steel dish are initially still hot, even after switch-off!
  • Be careful when working with hot liquids or food!
  • When opening the lid, hot steam or hot water may escape!
  • Do never bend over the appliance during operation, or when the appliance is still hot!

How to fill and insert the removable stainless steel dish

  • Unlock the casing cover and lift it.
  • Remove the stainless steel dish and place it on a flat surface.
  • Fill the prepared food into the stainless steel dish. Please observe the maximum filling quantity (marking).
  • Place the stainless steel dish on the heating surface in the inner housing of the appliance.
  • Close the casing cover and lock it with the locking clips. Pay attention to correct barring.

Connecting the appliance to the power supply

  • Insert the power cord (connector) into the port on the back of the appliance. Pay attention to a firm and correct fitting of the power cord. If the power cord is too loose, this may result in damages at the cable and the plug!
  • Connect the power plug with a sufficiently secured socket.
  • The appliance is in standby mode.

Operation with manual control (offline operation without app)

Start the heating process

  • Press the ON/OFF button for one second.
    → Operation pilot lamp lights up permanently in WHITE colour.
  • The appliance is in operating mode.

NOTE: If the operation pilot lamp is flashing in WHITE, the casing cover is not locked correctly. As soon as the casing cover has been locked correctly, the operation pilot lamp lights up permanently in WHITE colour.

NOTE: If there is no further operation within 18 minutes after switching on, the control unit switches back to standby mode and the operation pilot lamp expires.

- Press the ON/OFF button once again for one second to start the heating process.

→ Operation pilot lamp lights up permanently in RED colour.

NOTE: If the operation pilot lamp is flashing in RED, the casing cover is not locked correctly. As soon as the casing cover has been locked correctly, the operation pilot lamp lights up permanently in RED colour.

  • The appliance heats up the food in the stainless steel dish to approx. 75 °C. This takes between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the quantity and consistency of the food.
  • You can open the casing cover at any time during the heating process to stir or to check the temperature of the contents. After closing, the heating process continues automatically.
  • Once the temperature has been reached, the appliance switches to keep warm function for 30 minutes.
    → The operation control lamp lights up permanently in GREEN colour.
    • After the heating process has ended, the appliance switches back to standby mode.
    → The operation pilot lamp expires.

Premature stop of the heating process

- You can stop the heating process by pressing the ON/OFF button continuously for 3 seconds.

A Tap the HeatsBox ® button to connect the app with your appliance. Here you can also change the name of your appliance.

Connect the appliance with the app

  • Start the app to connect the appliance with the app and select your HeatsBox®.
    → As soon as the appliance connects to the app, the operation pilot lamp lights up in BLUE colour permanently.
    • The appliance is in standby mode.

NOTE: You do not have to switch on the appliance by using the ON/OFF button.

NOTE: If the operation pilot lamp is flashing in BLUE colour, the casing cover is not locked correctly. The app shows a corresponding notice. As soon as the casing cover has been locked correctly, the operation pilot lamp lights up permanently in BLUE colour.

NOTE: If there is no further operation within 15 minutes after switching on, the control unit switches back to standby mode. In this case, the operation pilot lamp expires.

Make settings

- Now make the settings in the app (temperature / serving size / heating process).

Immediate start of the heating process

- Tap the START button to start the heating process immediately.

→ The operation pilot lamp lights up in RED colour permanently.
→ START button shows the calculated or respectively the residual heating time.

NOTE: If the operation pilot lamp is flashing in RED colour, the casing cover is not locked correctly. The app shows a corresponding notice. As soon as the casing cover has been locked correctly, the operation pilot lamp lights up permanently in RED colour.

Start the heating process at a definite point in time

  • Tap the PLANNING button to start time-controlled heating process.
  • You can decide at what time the food should be ready to serve.
  • Once all settings have been made, tap the START button.

→ The operation pilot lamp lights up in YELLOW colour permanently.

→ The app shows when heating process starts and ends up.

NOTE: If the operation pilot lamp is flashing in YELLOW colour, the casing cover is not locked correctly. The app shows a corresponding notice. As soon as the casing cover has been locked correctly, the operation pilot lamp lights up permanently in YELLOW colour.

NOTE: Now you can quit the app and disconnect the Bluetooth connection. The information put in are saved in the appliance.

- The appliance starts the heating process at the set point in time.

→ The operation pilot lamp lights up in RED colour permanently.
→ During the heating process, the current temperature ( >50 ^ ) is displayed in the app.

- The appliance can be stopped by tapping the STOP button.

  • You can open the casing cover at any time during the heating process to stir or to check the temperature of the contents. After closing, the heating process continues automatically.
  • Once the temperature has been reached, the appliance switches to keep warm function for 30 minutes.

→ You will receive a notice via app saying that heating process has ended.
→ The operation control lamp lights up permanently in GREEN colour.

• After heating process has ended, the appliance switches back to standby mode.

→ The operation pilot lamp expires.

- Always let the appliance and accessory parts cool down before cleaning!

  • Clean the appliance and accessory parts immediately after use so that residues do not dry on.
  • Clean the outside of the base unit with a damp tissue and wipe it dry. Clean the heating surface in the inner housing of the appliance with a damp cloth wrung out well and without cleaning agent. Then wipe it dry thoroughly.
  • Clean the outside of the casing cover with a damp tissue and wipe it dry. If necessary, remove the gasket from the casing cover for cleaning. Clean the heating surface on the back of the casing cover with a damp cloth wrung out well and without cleaning agent. Then wipe it dry thoroughly.
  • Clean the removable stainless steel dish in hot water with some dishwashing detergent or in a dishwasher. Use a conventional household cleaning brush with soft bristles for cleaning coarse soiling.
  • Clean the removable divider as well as the transport lid in hot water with some mild detergent. If necessary, remove the gasket of lid for cleaning.
  • Never use abrasives and solvents!
  • Never treat the appliance and accessory parts with a steam cleaner!

Tips and Notes

  • Distribute the foods evenly in the stainless steel dish to ensure that it is heated as fast as possible.
  • The appliance stops the heating process if the casing cover is removed during operation. As soon as the casing cover is put back and locked again, the heating process continues automatically.
  • Avoid frequent removal of the casing cover to ensure effective heating.
  • Small pieces heat up faster than large pieces. The estimated heating time of the food differs, depending on the temperature, quality, quantity and the temperature desired.
  • The appliance is designed for a heating process of max. 60 minutes. As soon as this time is reached, the appliance switches off automatically. If the food has not yet reached the desired temperature, you can restart the appliance immediately.
  • Depending on personal preference, it may be necessary to experiment to achieve the correct target temperature.
  • The actual heating time can deviate from the calculated time; the expected duration is recalculated regularly during the heating process.
