1. Risk of electrical shock

- Read the operating instructions prior to use
• Make sure the device has been de-energised prior to working on it - Do not remove contact protection panels
- Avoid contact with conducting parts

6. Cleaning the device

USB Type-C®
Not all USB Type-C® ports support the full functionality of the USB Type-C® standard. Some ports might only provide data transfer without supporting Power Delivery or DP Alt Mode over USB.

USB Type-C™ ≠ USB Type-C™
Wichtig!
To use this dock to its full potential, ensure that the host USB Type-® port of your computer supports USB Power Delivery, DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt™ 3.
Please consult your host PC documentation or contact the PC manufacturer to confirm compatibility with these technologies. For safety, check whether the host PC Bios Version is the latest or not and confirm compatibility with USB Type-C® Power Delivery and/or DP Alt Mode before application.
Attention!
In case your computer supports only the DP Alt Mode protocol, and DisplayLink® drivers are not installed:
- Only Display 1 (3840x2160@60 Hz) interface can be used.
In case your computer does not support the DP Alt Mode protocol, and only USB 3.0 and installed DisplayLink® drivers are available:
- Only Display 2 (3840x2160@60 Hz) and Display 3 (3840x2160@60 Hz) interfaces can be used.
In case your computer supports both, the DP Alt Mode protocol and USB 3.0 with installed DisplayLink® drivers:
- Display 1 (3840x2160@60 Hz), Display 2 (3840x2160@60 Hz) and Display 3 (3840x2160@60 Hz) interfaces can be used.

Installation of the driver!
Caution: Do not connect the DockingStation to your computer before installing the driver from the download area of: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads
Windows®:
A. Download the correct driver from webpage above
B. Click on "Run Setup.exe"
C. Follow the instructions and finish the driver installation
D. Connect the DockingStation to a supported USB Type-C or USB 3.0 Type-A port on the PC
E. Restart the PC
F. The IB-DK2254AC is ready to be used
macOS®:
A. Download the correct driver from the webpage above
B. Run the file Mac_driver\ driver.dmg by double-click
C. Follow the instructions and finish the driver installation
D. Connect the DockingStation to a supported USB Type-C or USB 3.0 Type-A port on the macOS ^® computer
E. Restart the computer
F. The IB-DK2254AC is ready to be used
Chrome OS®:
The DisplayLink ^® drivers are pre-installed under Chrome OS ^® .

Monitor connections
Connection of one computer to three DisplayPort™ or three HDMI® monitors
You can set up three displays by using the video output ports of the IB-DK2254AC (3x DisplayPort or 3x HDMI ^ or mixed).
Connect your monitors to the DisplayPort™/HDMI® interfaces by using certified DisplayPort™/HDMI® cables (not included).
It is recommended to use monitors of the same size, type and resolution. Same monitor type means that the monitors have the same native resolution and display refresh rate.

Connection of one computer to one 5K DisplayPort™ monitor
You can set up one 5K display by using the two video output ports 2 and 3 of your IB-DK2254AC (2x DisplayPort ^™ ).
Connect your supported 5K monitor to both DisplayPort™ interfaces by using certified DisplayPort™ cables (not included).

Note: The DockingStation is compatible with most 5K-enabled monitors on the market.
Please refer to http://www.displaylink.com/downloads to download the latest driver for better compatibility.
Please set up your display settings according to your operating system and requirements.
For detailed information of your operating system, consult the respective operation manual and description of your operating system.

Supported video resolutions
The DockingStation supports 3x 4K@60 Hz Ultra HD resolution if the connected DisplayPort ^™ /HDMI ^® displays support it (up to 3840x2160@60 Hz /each).

The DockingStation supports 1x 5K@60 Hz Ultra HD resolution if the connected DisplayPort" display supports it (up to 5120x2880@60 Hz).

NOTE: The screenshots might vary slightly with the operating system.
Arrange your displays
Once the extra monitors are connected, they can be configured to either mirror mode, extended mode or to the setting of the primary display.
e.g: extending your monitors
- Position the mouse anywhere on the Windows desktop
- Right-click and select Display settings to bring up the configuration window.

- Refer to the Display configuration section

- Identify your monitors by clicking the Identify button.
- Select the relevant monitor for the following settings by clicking the identified monitor symbol

- Select Multiple displays > Extend desktop to this display if you wish to extend a monitor.

- Once the setting is completed, simply drag and drop the application icons to arrange your monitors. (However, some applications may not support to display on the extended desktop).

Select a display below to change the settings for it. Press and hold (or select) a display, then drag to rearrange it.

Setting the right resolution and frequenzy of your displays
There are two possibilities to choose the resolution of the selected monitor:
1. Standard
- Identify your monitors by clicking the Identify button.
- Select the relevant monitor by clicking the identified monitor symbol
- Click on Display resolution

Once the extra monitors are connected, they can be configured to mirror mode or extend mode.
- Click on System Preferences

- Click on Displays

- Select the corresponding monitor symbol by clicking and holding on the symbol of the monitor to be placed.

To set up scaled resolutions of the monitor displays, click the Display tab and then, in the opened window of the respective display, set your desired views separately. Select the Scaled option and then select the appropriate size in the field below.

Advanced display settings
Hold down the option key, click again on Scaled and an advanced menu for resolution settings and repeat frequency settings opens.
Please select your preferred settings here.
