Prior to assembly, make sure that the mains plug is unplugged. If the mains plug is plugged in, the appliance could accidentally be switched on, resulting in injuries.

- Place the nozzle plate (base foot) [2] onto the cap nut [3] and fasten with the enclosed cap nut [1].
- Place the back protective grid [5] exactly onto the motor head [4] (insert the three pins on the motor head into the three holes in the protective grid) and screw tightly using the included cap nuts [6].
- If required, pull off the protective hose from the motor axle.
- Place the fan blades [7] all the way onto the motor axle and secure with the included cap nut [8].
Attention: Left-handed thread.
- Place the front protective grid [9] exactly into the lower bracket on the rear protective grid [5], push on and fix with the three swivel brackets (left, right and top). Fix both protective grids at the bottom with the included M3 screw and bolt.
Vertical adjustment
The cooling fan can be set to the desired vertical operating range by hand: from approximately 15^ to the front (downwards) up to approximately 25^ to the back (upwards).
To do so, hold the cooling fan by the tube and – from the back only – carefully move the motor head forwards or backwards until the desired position has been reached.

ATTENTION!
If the fan blade is blocked, switch off the cooling fan immediately and disconnect it from the power supply. Eliminate the blockage before operating the cooling fan again.
Power-on / off

ATTENTION!
Do not place the appliance directly next to any heat sources and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Heat may cause damage to the cooling fan.
For the VL 30 G fan, three different speeds (fan levels) can be set.
Next to the oscillation head [A] on the motor head there is a rotary switch for selecting the desired fan speed.
Switching step 0 = OFF
Switching step 1 = Low speed
Switching step 2 = Medium speed
Switching step 3 = High speed
Oscillation
The cooling fan is equipped with an automatic swivel device. This range of horizontal movement is approximately 75^ .
The button [A] on the motor head switches from "Stationary" to "Oscillation" and vice versa, also when the appliance is in operation:
Button pushed in = Oscillation ON
Button pulled out = Oscillation OFF
In accordance with the fan speed set (switching step 1,2 or 3), the oscillation movement either gets slower or faster.
If the standing direction of the fan is not ideal, you can:
b) if oscillation is switched off, set the position of the motor head through "rotation" to the right or left as desired or
a) if oscillation is switched on, pull out the button [A] when the motor element is in the right position.

ATTENTION!
Never twist the motor head by force. Never push on the protective grid.
