How do I clean the Fakir Prestige VC 45 S fan?

How to assemble the stand fan?

WARNING!

Never use a defective appliance.

WARNING!

Prior to assembly, make sure that the mains plug is unplugged. If the mains plug is plugged in, the appliance could accidentally be switched on, resulting in injuries.

• Insert the base plate [A] of the cooling fan with the snap-in nose into the rear opening [B] of the nozzle plate [C], then press down and secure from below with the large nut [D].
• Place the rear protective grille [H] with the guiding tubes precisely onto the three recesses (one above and two below the motor axle) on the motor head and secure tightly (clockwise) with the large nut [G].
• Insert fan blades [F] all the way onto the motor axle [J]. Ensure that the tension spring is on the fan blade hub. First remove any protective tube on the axle.
• Unscrew the recessed head screw on the front protective grille [E]. Fold safety lever downwards.

- Put front protective grille [E] with the clamping ring (screw joint facing downwards) onto the rear protective grille [H] and push on, push safety lever upwards onto the grille and secure with the recessed head screw.

NOTICE!

Make sure that the grille snaps into place all the way around.

Zusammenbau VC 45 S

- Place the rear protective grille [B] with the three round recesses precisely onto the three knobs – two above and one below the motor axle [A] – on the motor head and secure tightly (clockwise) with the large nut [C].

• Insert fan blades [D] all the way onto the motor axle [A]. First remove any protective tube.
• Screw the cap nut [E] onto the motor axle [A] to secure the fan blade. Left-handed thread! Screw on the nut counter-clockwise.
• Unscrew the recessed head screw on the front protective grille [E]. Fold safety lever downwards.
• Put front protective grille [F] with the clamping ring (screw facing downwards) onto the rear protective grille [B] and push on.

NOTICE!

Make sure that the grille snaps into place all the way around.

Push safety lever upwards onto the grille and secure with the recessed head screw.

• Insert the tube [L] precisely into the base foot / nozzle plate [M] and screw [N] securely from below (clockwise).
• Pull the telescopic tube [J] out of the tube [L] and secure by rotating the knurled screw [K] to the right (clockwise).
• Put the cooling fan with the foot base [G] all the way onto the telescopic tube [J] and use the knurled screw [H] to secure it by turning it to the right (clockwise).

ATTENTION!

Do not place the appliance directly next to any heat sources and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Heat may cause damage to the cooling fan.

The pushbuttons for selecting the desired fan speed can be found on the foot base of the VC 29 or on the VC 45 S operating panel.

The cooling fans are equipped with an automatic swivel device for horizontal swiveling.

The swivel range is approximately 75^ .

The button [O] switches from "Stationary" to

"Oscillation" and vice versa, also when the appliance is in operation.

Button pressed = Oscillation ON

Button pulled out = Oscillation OFF

The oscillation speed is faster or slower depending on the selected speed.

If the direction of the fan is not to your liking, you can:

a) if oscillation is switched on, pull out the button [v] when the motor element is in the right position.

b) if oscillation is switched off, set the position of the motor element through "rotation" to the right or left as desired.

ATTENTION!

Never twist the motor head by force.

Vertical blowing direction

The cooling fans can be set manually to the desired vertical area of use (blowing direction) – from approx. 15^ downwards to approx. 25^ upwards.

• Switch off the cooling fan
• Hold the bottom of the fan (foot base) securely and then swivel the motor element – only from the back – forwards (blowing direction downwards) or backwards (blowing direction upwards) until the desired position has been reached.

ATTENTION!

Never push on the protective grid.

Height adjustment of the VC 45 S

The height of the pedestal cooling fan VC 45 S can be adjusted from approximately 120 – 140 cm:

• Loosen the knurled screw [K] by turning it to the left (anti-clockwise).
• Pull out telescopic tube [J] to the desired height or push in.
• Secure the telescopic tube again by turning the knurled screw [K] to the right (clockwise).

Cleaning / care

WARNING!

Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning. This will prevent the appliance from accidentally being switched on.

ATTENTION!

Do not use cleaning solutions, abrasive cleaners or alcohol. This would damage the housing.

Dust accumulations inside the appliance can be removed with a vacuum cleaner or by blowing with compressed air.

Clean the appliance only with a dry or moist cloth. The appliance requires no special maintenance and care. Wind the power supply cord. Protect from dust during storage.

Appliances that have not been in use for an extended period of time must be checked by a trained technician before being put back in operation. The same applies if the appliance shows dirt on the inside.

When the cooling fan has reached the end of its service life, especially in the event of malfunctions, render the appliance unserviceable by first unplugging and then cutting the power cord.

Dispose of the appliance in accordance with the applicable environmental regulations for your country.

The packaging of the appliance is made of recyclable materials. Sort the packaging material and recycle accordingly.

We offer a warranty under the following conditions for this appliance:

1. Your reseller's residential address / company address shall be located in the EU or the appliance shall be purchased from an authorized reseller in Germany.
2. We guarantee to ensure that you may send the appliance to us free of charge and to repair the faults which have been reported within 24 months due to material or assembly errors that occur within 24 months (12 months for industrial and professional uses).

Proper use of the appliance is a pre-requisite for fulfilling the warranty obligation. The warranty period begins with the date of sale.

1. Parts included in natural wear parts (drive belt, batteries, brushes, filters) are not covered under warranty.
2. Warranty claims shall be void in case of intervention or repair by persons who are not authorized us. In addition, aftermarket spare parts or accessories shall not be installed.
3. Warranty service consists of repair or replacement of defective parts. On-site repairs may only be requested for fixed large appliances. In order to document warranty claims, it is necessary to present the invoice or voucher with the date of purchase, stemp and signature from the dealer.
4. If the repair operation fails and the fault or defect can not be remedied after service, the appliance shall be replaced with an equivalent appliance. If a repair or replacement is not possible, you are entitled the right to return the appliance and to demand a refund of the sales value of the appliance. A fee may be requested for the period of use in case of a request for an exchange or refund of the sales value.
5. Warranty services do not cause an extension of the warranty period or start of a new warranty period. The warranty period for the parts installed inside the appliance ends with the end of the total warranty period of the appliance.
6. Contractual or statutory clauses for repair of faults remain in effect regardless of warranty terms.
