How do I clean my FAKIR premium VC 46 S fan?

Unplug the fan. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the grille and blades. Do not use water directly or immerse the fan. Let it dry completely before using.

This fan is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose it to rain or moisture to avoid electrical hazards.

How do I set the timer?

Press the timer button repeatedly to set desired hours (up to 7 hours). The indicator lights will show the selected time. The fan will automatically turn off after that period.

What is the maximum height of the fan?

The fan height can be adjusted up to approximately 130 cm. Loosen the adjustment collar, extend the pole to desired height, and tighten securely.

Unpacking

Unpack the appliance and check the contents for completeness (see „scope of delivery“).

If you notice any transportation damage, please contact your dealer immediately.

Assembly

• Take out the pillar from the packing, then loosen the rod fixing ring nut and L screw in counterclockwise direction.
• Install the base ring onto the pillar and then tighten the rod fixing ring nut on the top of the pillar.
- Fix the base onto the balance weight firmly, then place the iron ring under the weight and fasten the pillar, base, balance weight and iron ring with the L screw.
- The completed base should be placed on stable and even floor.

• Loosen the rear guard lock in counterclockwise direction
• Install the rear guard onto the motor front and tighten the rear guard lock in clockwise direction. Make sure the rear guard handle is located at 12 o'clock position.
  • Install the blade onto the motor shaft and then fasten the blade screw cap in counterclockwise direction.
• Fit in the front guard coupled with the rear guard and ensure that the locking point of the grille hoop remains at 6 o'clock position.
• Ensure the edges of the front guard and rear guard have been fitted in the grille hoop and fasten the locking with a screwdriver.
  • Install the upper fan onto the adjustable rod and fasten the floor fixing screw (A). The installation is completed.
• To adjust the height you may loosen the rod fixing ring nut (B) and adjust the upper fan to your desired height level and tighten the rod fixing ring again.

CAUTION!!

Do not place the appliance directly next to any heat sources and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Heat may cause damage to the cooling fan.

On / off

The fan works in a low mode when you press the ON/OFF key once. All the functions are closed when press the key again, the corresponding indicator light is switched on or off simultaneously.

Speed selection

The symbols on the buttons are showing the different wind level status.

Button 1: Low wind speed
Button 2: Medium wind speed
Button 3: High wind speed

Mode

Press the "Mode" button until the rquired mode is set. The mode symbol will light blue.

In the natural mode (tree symbol) you may additionally choose between the three wind level status.

Oscillation

Press the "Swing" button to activate the oscillation.

Timer

Press the "Timer" button to activate timer sequence from 0.5 hrs to 7.5 hrs. Each time this button is pressed, the timer goes up by 0.5 hrs, 1h, 2 hrs and 4 hrs increments up to 7.5 hrs. For each function, the corresponding indicator light will be switched on or off.

Remote control All functions can also be operated via the remote control. Due to the magnetic contact the remote control can be attached directly to the telescopic tube.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning

WARNING!

Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning. This will prevent the appliance from accidentally being switched on.

CAUTION!

Do not use cleaning solutions, abrasive cleaners or alcohol. This would damage the housing.

Make sure the fan is switched off when you are ready to clean. To dismount follow the reverse process in the installation section.

Clean the blades and grilles with a moist cloth and dry thoroughly before reassembling.

Dust accumulations inside the appliance can also be removed with a vacuum cleaner or by blowing with compressed air. Protect from dust during storage.

Appliances that have not been in use for an extended period of time must be checked by a trained technician before being put back in operation. The same applies if the appliance shows dirt on the inside.

Troubleshooting

When the cooling fan has reached the end of its service life, especially in the event of malfunctions, render the appliance unserviceable by first unplugging and then cutting the power cord.

Dispose of the appliance in accordance with the applicable environmental regulations for your country.

Do not dispose of electrical equipment with the household refuse.

The packaging of the appliance is made of recyclable materials. Sort the packaging material and recycle accordingly.

We offer a warranty under the following conditions for this appliance:

1. Your reseller's residential address / company address shall be located in the EU or the appliance shall be purchased from an authorized reseller in Germany.
2. We guarantee to ensure that you may send the appliance to us free of charge and to repair the faults which have been reported within 24 months due to material or assembly errors that occur within 24 months (12 months for industrial and professional uses).
   Proper use of the appliance is a pre-requisite for fulfilling the warranty obligation. The warranty period begins with the date of sale.
3. Parts included in natural wear parts (drive belt, batteries, brushes, filters) are not covered under warranty.
4. Warranty claims shall be void in case of intervention or repair by persons who are not authorized us. In addition, aftermarket spare parts or accessories shall not be installed.
5. Warranty service consists of repair or replacement of defective parts. On-site repairs may only be requested for fixed large appliances. In order to document warranty claims, it is necessary to present the invoice or voucher with the date of purchase, stemp and signature from the dealer.
6. If the repair operation fails and the fault or defect can not be remedied after service, the appliance shall be replaced with an equivalent appliance. If a repair or replacement is not possible, you are entitled the right to return the appliance and to demand a refund of the sales value of the appliance. A fee may be requested for the period of use in case of a request for an exchange or refund of the sales value.
7. Warranty services do not cause an extension of the warranty period or start of a new warranty period. The warranty period for the parts installed inside the appliance ends with the end of the total warranty period of the appliance.
8. Contractual or statutory clauses for repair of faults remain in effect regardless of warranty terms.
