These operating instructions are intended to enable the safe and proper handling and operation of the appliance.
Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
Keep the operating instructions in a safe place. Include these operating instructions when passing the appliance on to another user.

General
- The protective grille must not be removed after assembly.
- Do not direct the air flow directly at people.
- Do not obstruct the air flow and keep a minimum clearance of 50 cm on all sides.
Electric current

ATTENTION!
- Incorrect voltage can destroy the appliance. Operate the appliance only if the voltage specified on the rating plate corresponds to the voltage in your household.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids and protect it from rain and moisture.

WARNING! Danger of electric shock!
- Never touch the plug with wet hands.
- When unplugging the appliance, always pull directly on the plug and never on the power cord.
- Do not kink, pinch or run over the power supply cord and do not expose it to heat sources.
- If the mains connection of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's customer service department or a person with similar qualifications, in order to prevent hazards.
- Use only extension cords designed for the power input of the appliance.
- For cleaning and maintenance of the appliance or when replacing parts, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the power supply.
- The protective grid must not be removed or opened to clean the rotor.
- You can wipe clean the housing and protective grid with a damp cloth.

WARNING!
Never use a defective appliance.

WARNING!
Prior to assembly, make sure that the mains plug is unplugged. If the mains plug is plugged in, the appliance could accidentally be switched on, resulting in injuries.

NOTICE!
Left-handed thread! Screw on the nut counter-clock-wise. Note the flat surface on the motor axle

Assemble in the following order:
If not already pre-mounted, remove the cap nut [15] from the tube [16] and push the cover [17] over the telescopic tube. Pull out the telescopic tube [14] and then put on the cap nut [15] again. Insert the 4 base feet [18] through the 4 holes in the cover [17] onto the foot connector [19] and secure with the enclosed screws.
Place the back protective grille [7] exactly onto the motor head [10] (insert the two pins on the motor head into the two holes in the protective grille) and screw tight using the included cap nuts [6].
Place the fan blades [5] all the way onto the motor axle and secure with the included cap nut [4] (left-handed thread!). If necessary remove the protective tube.

ATTENTION!
Never twist the motor head by force.
Never push on the protective grid.

Make sure that the grille snaps into place all the way around. Fasten the locking screw [8]. Place the cooling fan with the control panel (motor head) [10+11] onto the telescopic tube [14] and secure with the knurled screw [13].
Height adjustment: The height of the fan can be adjusted. For adjustment, loosen the cap nut [15] , pull out or push in the tube to the desired height and secure again with the cap nut [15] .

ATTENTION!
If the fan blade is blocked, switch off the cooling fan immediately and disconnect it from the power supply. Eliminate the blockage before operating the cooling fan again.

ATTENTION!
Do not place the appliance directly next to any heat sources and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Heat may cause damage to the cooling fan.

Operation
Setting the air speed
- Connect the power plug with a socket Press the “1” (low) button for a slow speed Press the “2” (medium) button for a medium speed Press the “3” (high) button for a high speed “0” button OFF
Horizontal blowing direction (oscillation)
For this use the button (10) on the motor element. - Button pressed: Oscillation ON - Button pulled out: Oscillation OFF
Setting the time preset clock
You can preselect the running time of 0 – 120 min. To do so rotate the time preset button (12) clockwise up to the desired time. The fan stops when the set time has expired.
Vertical blowing direction
You can set the fan by hand to the desired vertical blowing direction – approximately 15^ downwards to approximately 25^ upwards.
- Switch off the cooling fan - Hold the bottom part of the cooling fan and then only point the motor element from the back: - to the front (downward air flow) - or to the rear (upwards air flow) until the desired position has been reached.

ATTENTION!
Never push on the protective grid.
Cleaning / care

WARNING!
Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning. This will prevent the appliance from accidentally being switched on.

ATTENTION!
Do not use cleaning solutions, abrasive cleaners or alcohol. This would damage the housing.
Dust accumulations inside the appliance can be removed with a vacuum cleaner or by blowing with compressed air.
Clean the appliance only with a dry or moist cloth. The appliance requires no special maintenance and care. Wind the power supply cord. Protect from dust during storage.
Appliances that have not been in use for an extended period of time must be checked by a trained technician before being put back in operation. The same applies if the appliance shows dirt on the inside.

When the cooling fan has reached the end of its service life, especially in the event of malfunctions, render the appliance unserviceable by first unplugging and then cutting the power cord.
Dispose of the appliance in accordance with the applicable environmental regulations for your country.
Do not dispose of electrical equipment with the household refuse.
The packaging of the appliance is made of recyclable materials. Sort the packaging material and recycle accordingly.
For information about recycling, please contact your local authorities or your retail dealer.

This appliance fulfills the requirements of the 2012/19/EU WEEE Directive
We provide a warranty for this appliance subject to the following conditions:
Valid from 1st June 2014
- The customer's main place of residence is in the EU and the appliance was bought from a dealer located in Germany.
- We undertake to repair the appliance, free of charge, including free shipment, if it becomes defective due to a material or assembly error within 24 months (within 12 months if used commercially or used for self-employed professional purposes) and if notification of the defect is given within the warranty period.
A pre-condition of our warranty is that the appliance is always treated properly. The warranty terms start on the date of purchase. - Parts subject to natural wear (e.g. drive belts, batteries, brushes, filters) do not fall under the terms of warranty.
- The warranty will lapse if the appliance is modified or repaired by persons we have not authorized. Also, no third-party spare parts or accessories may be used.
- The main focus of the warranty is on performing repairs or exchanging defective parts. Repairs on site can only be demanded for large stationary appliances. The invoice or sales receipt of the retail dealer with the purchase date is required for all guarantee claims.
- If a repair fails and the damage or defect cannot be rectified even after a second attempt, the appliance will be replaced with one of the same value. If neither repair nor replacement is possible, the customer is entitled to return the appliance and demand reimbursement of the purchase price. In the event that the appliance is exchanged or the purchase price reimbursed, a usage fee may be raised for the period that the appliance was in use.
- Warranty work does not extend the Warranty period or mark the start of a new warranty period. The warranty term of installed spare parts ends at the same time as the warranty period for the whole appliance.
- The contractual and/or statutory regulations relating to the correction or faults are not affected by the provisions of the Warranty.
