How do I replace the lamp on my Acer P6505 projector?
To replace the lamp, first turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. Allow the projector to cool for at least 30 minutes. Use a screwdriver to remove the lamp cover screw, push the cover upward and remove it. Then remove the screw securing the lamp module, lift the handle, pull out the lamp plug, and pull the module out. Insert the new lamp module (compatible: 365W lamp), reverse the steps, and reset the lamp hour counter via the Management menu.
How do I clean the dust filters on the P6505?
Clean the dust filters every 1000 hours of use. Turn off the projector, unplug, and allow it to cool for 30 minutes. Pull out the dust filter located on the side. Use a small vacuum cleaner or soft brush to remove dust. If the filter is damaged, contact your dealer for a replacement. Reinstall the filter before using the projector.
Can I project 3D content with the Acer P6505?
Yes, the P6505 supports DLP Link 3D technology. It is compatible with Blu-ray 3D and nVidia 3DTV Play. To enable 3D, go to the 3D menu in the OSD and select 'On'. You will need compatible 3D glasses and a 120Hz-capable source for best results.
What is the maximum projection size for the P6505?
The projector can project images from 20 inches (51 cm) to 300 inches (762 cm) diagonally. The optimal projection distance ranges from 1.0 m to 9.4 m. Use the zoom ring and lens shift to adjust size and position.
How do I connect my smartphone to the projector via MHL?
Use an MHL cable (Micro-USB to HDMI) to connect your smartphone to the HDMI/MHL port (HDMI 1). The projector will automatically detect the MHL signal. You can then control playback using the remote control in MHL mode. Some smartphones may require an adapter.
How do I reset the projector to factory settings?
Navigate to the Settings menu in the OSD. Select Reset and choose 'Yes'. This will restore all parameters to factory defaults. Note that security settings (password) will not be reset. To reset security, enter the administrator password.
What does the LumiSense+ feature do?
LumiSense+ uses an ambient light sensor to intelligently optimize brightness and color saturation. It has three modes: Off (standard), Auto Bright (adjusts brightness based on light), and Dynamic Black (enhances dark scene detail).
How do I set up a password for the projector?
Go to the Security submenu under Settings. Enable Security, then set a User Password (4-8 characters). You can also set an Administrator Password (default: 1234). Once enabled, the projector will prompt for a password at startup. A universal password is printed on the Security Card.
The projector overheated and shut down. What should I do?
If you see 'Projector Overheated' message, allow the projector to cool for at least 30 minutes. Ensure the ventilation slots and dust filters are clean. Check that the ambient temperature is below 40°C (104°F) and the projector has 50 cm clearance from walls. If the problem persists, contact service.
