- Avoid road traffic where possible to minimise the risk of accident.
- Trekking poles are not suitable for downhill skiing.
- Please do not use oil as any oil will have a negative effect on the retention force of the adjustment mechanism.
- Please note that the tip of the trekking poles may damage the ground.
- Please do not sit on the poles as they could bend.
• The tip of poles poses all sorts of danger to children!
• The appliance is only designed for private use.

- Tighten the screw sections securely so that they cannot be turned any further with normal strength.
Note: After closing please check that the locks hold by leaning gently on the pole.
Setting the stick length (figures D/E)
Your trekking poles can be adjusted to any length between 110cm and 135cm and should be set in accordance with your height and the type of use.
- Open the lock (figure D).
- Hold the lower end of the pole with one hand and use the other to pull the pole out to the desired length.
- If you want to set the pole length to a height of 120cm then fix the upper pole segment in such a way that the 120cm marking is just visible and just protrudes from the upper pole segment.
Caution! Never fix the pole length beyond the 'STOP' mark!
- Close the lock tightly. The lock must be flat against the lock system.
Note: The screw on the lock could loosen! Before each use, please ensure that the screw is tight. Turn the lock clockwise to tighten it (figure E).

- Wear gloves in cold weather.
- On longer hikes you should ensure that you take enough to drink (take a drinks belt or drinks rucksack if necessary).
- Wear suitable clothing in the winter.
Combination fixture for asphalt pad and basket
You can keep the asphalt pad and the trekking pole basket on the combination fixture. Use the asphalt pad when hiking on stony or hard surfaces, and use the trekking pole basket on soft surfaces to prevent the trekking pole from sinking into the ground. You may also remove the combination fixture. Pull the red rubber ring out of the guide on the fixture by its tab. Then the fixture can then be removed from the pole. To attach the combination fixture, place it on the pole again, wrap the rubber ring around the pole once, and place it again into the leading part on the combination fixture. If you are not using the asphalt pad or the trekking pole basket on your current hike, then you can fix or insert them into the basket change system attachment.

Warming up and stretching
Warm up and stretch well before trekking.
• Front thigh muscles (figure P)
Pull your foot up to your backside.
• Back thigh muscles (figure Q)
Press the back of your heel onto the floor while leaning your body forwards.
• Inner hip muscles (figure R)
Push your pelvis down at an angle.
• Calf muscles (figure S)
Lift and then lower your heels briefly several times.

To clean the trekking poles use a cloth soaked in lukewarm water or soapy water. Never clean the trekking poles with solvents or harsh cleaning materials. These could damage the plastic or the markings and cause damage over time.
Storage and transportation
Do not subject the trekking poles to direct sunlight or increased heat as this can cause splits or degradation in your trekking poles, thus shorten their lifespan and substantially impeded their working order. Always store the trekking poles in a dry room. Dry wet poles with a cloth before folding in order to prevent corrosion. Always attach the asphalt pad to the tip during transportation.

Therefore, the OCR result must ignore it and output nothing or only meaningful text. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of four underscores. This is an incorrect interpretation of the line as a placeholder, violating the rule that stylistic lines must be ignored. The OCR has hallucinated placeholder underscores where none should exist in the GT. Hence, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.
