How do I hang the hammock seat?

Use the included ceiling mounting fixture. First, install the fixture into a solid concrete ceiling or sturdy wooden beam (see manual for drill hole sizes). Then tie a slip knot in the rope, attach it to the fixture and hook, and finally attach the suspension cords and hammock seat to the spreader bar as shown in Figures D–H.

In addition, please carefully refer to the operating instructions and the safety advice below. Only use the product as instructed and only for the indicated field of application. - Be sure to observe the maximum weight capacity for safe mounting.

- RISK OF INJURY! Do not place hard or pointed objects under the product.

■ Prior to each use, check that the product is correctly mounted, inspect the product for wear and friction damage to the surface of the ropes and any connectors. Never use a damaged product.

■ Ropes and fabric will wear and may become brittle. Strong discoloration would be an indication of this. Examine the product before each

use to see if there are any signs of damage. Never attempt to use the product if you notice any damage.

The product should not be used if the cover is torn or the mounting suspension shows any sign of damage.
Before making use of the product, make certain that it has been installed correctly and is hanging safely.
■ Never use the product as a swing.

■ Please ensure that the product is not used as a swing, climbing frame, or gym apparatus.

Do not stand in the product, do not climb in feet first, and do not put your head through the hanging ropes.

If possible only use the product on floors with shock-absorbing properties such as carpet or outdoor grass in order to minimise the risk of injury in case of falling out of the product.

Before mounting the product on the ceiling, make sure that the ceiling or respectively, the wooden beam, is suited for installing the product. If necessary, consult a specialist.

The product should be used by only one person at a time.

■ Make sure that the ceiling or respectively, the wooden beam to which you chose to attach the product has double the maximum load bearing capacity.

■ Caution - danger of strangulation! Remove the rope from the ceiling bracket when the product is not in use.

- Mounting

To hang the product, be sure to use only the mounting package included in the delivery or other suitable stands or suspension elements.

Before mounting the product on the ceiling, make sure that the ceiling or respectively, the wooden beam has sufficient load bearing capacity. The anchor plugs included in the delivery are suitable for use in solid concrete ceilings.

The screws included in the package can be used for solid wood.

For questions regarding mounting material to be used in the case of other ceiling constructions you may want to consult a specialised retailer.

☐ Install the ceiling mounting fixture into the supporting material (e.g., concrete ceiling or sturdy wooden beam) as shown in Fig. B and C.
☐ When attaching the unit to the ceiling, please note the following specifications:
☐ For mounting in a solid concrete ceiling: Pilot hole diameter 5–6 mm Finish boring diameter 8 mm Bore hole depth 60–70 mm
☐ For mounting in solid wood: Pilot hole diameter 2.5–3 mm Bore hole depth 30–35 mm

Note: The anchor plug must end up flush with the ceiling.

Note: Make sure that the suspension device is installed correctly and check for wear at regular intervals. In the case of damage, the suspension device should be exchanged.

The individual suspension cords must hang straight and may not be twisted or knotted as this will result in additional strain on individual strands. You may also attach the product to a tree or a beam by means of ropes.

- Hanging the chair

1. Tie the end of the rope 4 into a slip knot as shown in Figure D. Note that the slip knot must be at least 10 cm long in order to avoid problems attaching it to the ceiling fixture.
2. Pull the slip knot through the guide of the ceiling fixture 5 and attach it to the hook (Fig. E).
3. Thread the end of the rope 4 through the holes of the hook 6 (Fig. F) and tie a slip knot

into the rope 4 as shown in Figure G.

Note: the loop formation is shown in Fig. D.

1. Pull the slip knot of the rope 4 through the slip knot of the suspension cords 3 and attach it to the hook 6 (Figure H).
2. Push the loop ends of the hanging chair 1 over the ends of the spreader bar 2 into the inner grooves (Fig. H).
3. Lay the loop ends of the suspension cords 3 over the ends of the spreader 2 bar into the outer grooves (Fig. H).

●Heightadjustment

The hanging chair should hang approx. 40–50 cm above the ground/floor. When in use, the material will stretch by 5–10 %; adjust the suspension accordingly.
☐ The height of the hanging chair can be adjusted at the hook 6 (Fig. H).

●Disassembly

☐ Start by taking the hanging chair down. After that, detach the rope from the ceiling fixture.

- Cleaning and maintenance

☐ Remove dirt from the product with a soft sponge and clean water.
□ Never wash the product in a washing machine.
☐ Do not use any sharp objects as these will damage the product.
☐ Allow all parts dry thoroughly before you pack the product away again. This will prevent mould, odours and colour changes.
□ Protect the product from extreme weather.
☐ Protect the product from continued exposure to direct sunlight.

Storage

Following use, the cleaned and dried product may be rolled up and stored in a storage bag or the original packaging.

☐ Be sure to let the product dry completely prior to storage.
- Keep the product in an airy, dry and cool location.

●Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it - at our choice - free of charge to you.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
