How do I clean the Blaupunkt AHS901 humidifier?

Why is the humidifier not producing mist?

Check if the water tank is empty. If full, verify that the water level is above the minimum mark. The unit may have shut off automatically due to low water. Also ensure the transducer is clean and not covered by mineral scale.

Can I use essential oils in the AHS901?

Yes, the AHS901 has an aroma diffuser compartment. Add a few drops of essential oil onto the included aroma pad, then place it in the designated slot. Do not add oil directly into the water tank.

How often should I replace the water filter?

The demineralization cartridge should be replaced every 2-3 months, depending on water hardness. The filter indicator on the display will prompt you when replacement is needed.

What is the maximum run time on a full tank?

At maximum mist output, the 3.5 L tank lasts about 12 hours. In low or auto mode, it can run up to 24 hours before needing a refill.

Does the humidifier have a timer function?

Yes, you can set a timer from 1 to 12 hours using the remote control or touch panel. The unit will automatically turn off after the set time.

What should I do if the display shows an error code?

Refer to the user manual for specific codes. Common issues: E1 indicates water tank not properly seated, E2 means low water level. Turn off, refill, and restart. If persists, contact Blaupunkt support.

Is the AHS901 suitable for large rooms?

REFILLING THE WATER TANK

The tank can be refilled in two ways.

1. After removing the tank cover (9), pour water into the tank using a bottle or other container.
2. After removing the cover (9), the tank can be removed. Lift the tank using the handle. Fill the tank under the tap. Place the tank on the body of the device, paying attention to the location of internal components such as a lamp, aromatherapy basket, etc.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Press the power switch to turn on the appliance. After pressing the power switch, the air humidifier starts to generate a water mist. The operating parameters can be checked on the LED display. Press the button again to return to standby mode.

The humidification intensity can be adjusted using 3 intensity levels. Set the intensity by pressing the humidification intensity selection button.

Pressing the automatic mode button will start the mode of maintaining constant humidity in the range of 55%-68% humidity. The air humidifier will change the humidification intensity depending on the difference between ambient humidity and target humidity.

Press the humidistat setting button to enable the Humidistat mode. Each press will change the target ambient humidity value by 5%. The air humidifier will turn on and off to maintain humidity within the selected humidity level.

To enable the hot mist function, press the hot mist function button. The heater will heat the water to a temperature close to boiling point. This will increase the amount of mist/steam generated and affect water sterilisation. The appliance's tank and base heat up, and the water in the air humidifier body is very hot. Special care must be taken.

In order to set the appliance turn-off timer, press the timer button to start the timer; each press sets the time to turn off the appliance from 1 to 10 hours. Pressing and holding the button (3 seconds) disables the timer.

Note: A longer pressing of the night mode button (3 seconds) turns off the sounds accompanying pressing the function buttons. To restore the sounds, hold down the button again.

To turn off the air humidifier mood light, press and hold the night mode button for 3 seconds. Pressing it again will turn the lighting on longer.

To turn off the humidifier lighting and activate the night mode, press the night mode button. Pressing it again will restore the display.

To turn on the air ionization, press the button of the automatic mode for a longer time (3 seconds) (the display will show "N1". To turn off the ionization, long press the button again (the display will show "--".

THE AROMATHERAPY FUNCTION

To use the aromatherapy function, follow these instructions.

1. Take out the aromatherapy attachment (6).
2. Apply a few drops of water-soluble aroma oil (for use in humidifiers) on the sponge.
3. Put the aromatherapy attachment in the right place. The aroma will begin to release when the humidifier is switched on.
4. When you want to stop the aromatherapy, or the appliance will be unused for some time, remove the sponge from the aromatherapy attachment and clean it.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Turn off the device and unplug it.

Remove the water tank and empty it. Then wash it and remove all dirt and sediment from it. Dry the water tank.

The transmitter and the internal water tank should be regularly desalinated. It is recommended to use water with the addition of citric acid or vinegar.

Do not immerse the device in water.

The device will count down the use time to turn on the cleaning reminder mode, when the use time reaches 50 hours, the LED display will flash to remind users to clean the device, after maintenance, users can reset the device by long pressing the power button for 3 seconds.

The humidifier uses a resin filter which reduces the hardness of the water. It is recommended to replace it every 3-6 months (depending on the hardness of the water). Recommended filter: the Blaupunkt ACC048.

The silver ion cartridge (Blaupunkt ACC058) prevents the development of micro-organisms in the water. It should be replaced every six months.
