tions form a part of this product. They contain important information on safety, use and disposal. Make yourself familiar with all the operating instructions and safety advice for the product before use. Use the product only as described and for the indicated purpose. Check that the correct mains voltage is available and that all the parts have been properly assembled before bringing into use.

This lamp is designed for use indoors only, in dry and enclosed rooms. This product is intended for use in a private, domestic environment only. Other uses or modification of the product shall be considered as improper use and could lead to injury or damage. The manufacturer accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from improper use.

To avoid danger to life from electric shock
Before connecting the lamp to the mains, always check it and the mains lead / plug for any damage. Never use your lamp if you discover that it is damaged in any way.


CAUTION! A damaged mains
lead presents a serious danger to life from electric shock. The external
flexi-cable cannot be replaced, if the cable is damaged then the lamp must be disposed of.
Never let the lamp come into contact with water or other liquids.
Do not install the lamp on damp if conductive surfaces.
Never open any electrical devices such as switches, fittings etc. or allow any object to be inserted into them. This sort of interference can lead to a serious danger to life from electric shock.
■ Touch only the insulated part of the plug when connecting to or disconnecting from the mains supply.
Before installation ensure that the available mains voltage agrees with the operating voltage required for the lamp (220-240 V \~).

To avoid danger of fire and injury

DANGER OF BURNS! Ensure the lamp has been switched off and allowed to cool before you touch it. In this way you will avoid the danger of burns. Light bulbs develop a great deal of heat.
- Replace defective bulbs immediately. Before replacing the bulb, always remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
Allow the lamp to cool for at least 15 minutes before replacing a defective bulb.
Do not allow any objects to cover the lamp. Fire can result from the development of too much heat.
■ Position the lamp so that it is protected from moisture and dirt.
■ Never leave the light unattended whilst in operation. Excessive heat can result in a fire.
■ Only use the light bulb indicated.
Do not look directly into the light source (light bulb, LED etc.).
■ This lamp is not suitable for use as a night light.
■ The lamp is not suitable for dimmers
or electronic switches.


Before Initial Use
□ Unscrew the threaded ring 2, turning counterclockwise.
☐ Lift the lamp shade 3 off the socket 4.
Place the lamp shade 3 onto the socket 4 the correct way around.
☐ Tighten the threaded ring 2 clockwise.
☐ Use a clean, lint-free cloth to insert the lamp 1.
□ Screw the lamp 1 clockwise into the socket 4.
Your light is now ready to use.
Operation
• Using the lamp
□ Unwind the mains cable completely before use.
☐ Insert the mains plug into the socket.
☐ Turn the light on and off with the ON/OFF switch 6.
- Replacing a bulb
CAUTION! DANGER TO LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! Unplug the mains plug 7 from the socket.
☐ Allow the lamp to cool down for 15 minutes before replacing.
☐ Turn the defective light bulb 1 anti-clockwise out of the bulb socket 4.
☐ Use a clean, fluff-free cloth when you are replacing a bulb.
☐ Screw the light bulb 1 clockwise into the light bulb socket 4.
- Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION! DANGER TO LIFE FROM
ELECTRIC SHOCK! Before cleaning, always pull out the mains plug 7 out of the socket.
Do not use solvents such as petrol and the like as they could damage the lamp.
For electrical safety reasons, never clean the lamp with water or other fluids or immerse it in water.
☐ Only clean with a dry, lint-free cloth, a brush or a feather duster.
☐ The lamp is maintenance-free.
- Disposal

The packaging consists entirely of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling
facility.

The symbol of the wheelie bin with a cross through It means that, in the European Union, the product has to be
disposed of in a separate refuse collection. This applies to the product and to all components bearing this symbol. Products marked in this way may not be disposed of with normal domestic waste but have to be handed in at a recycling collection point for electrical and electronic appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and to ease the burden on the environment.

You receive a 36 month warranty on this product, valid from the date of purchase.
The device has been carefully produced under strict quality control.
Within the warranty period we shall rectify without charge all material and manufacturing defects. In the event of a defect arising during the warranty period, please send the device to the listed Service Centre address, making reference to the following article number: 14117501L/14117506L.
Wear parts (such as bulbs) and damage caused by improper handling, non-observance of the operating instructions or unauthorised interference are excluded from the warranty.
The performance of services under the warranty does not extend or renew the warranty period.
