Frequently Asked Questions - TX700 OPTOMA

How do I turn on the Optoma TX700 projector?
Remove the lens cap, connect the power cord and signal cables, then press the Power/Standby button on the control panel or remote. The Power LED will turn green. First time use will prompt language selection.
Why is there no image on the screen?
Check that all cables are securely connected, the lens cap is removed, the projector is powered on, and the Hide feature is off. Also ensure the lamp is properly installed and not at end of life.
How do I adjust the keystone correction?
Press the Keystone button on the remote or use the ▲/▼ directional keys on the control panel. You can adjust up to ±15 degrees to correct image distortion from tilting.
What does the 'LAMP' indicator mean?
If the LAMP LED lights solid red, the projector will automatically shut down due to a lamp failure. Contact your dealer or service center for assistance.
How do I replace the lamp?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Allow at least 30 minutes to cool. Remove the lamp cover screws, push up the cover, remove the two lamp module screws, and gently pull out the module. Insert the new lamp and reverse steps. After replacement, reset the lamp hour counter via Menu > Lamp Setting > Lamp Reset.
Can I mount this projector on the ceiling?
Yes, use a ceiling mount kit (screw type M2.6, length 8-10mm). Ensure at least 10cm clearance between the projector bottom and ceiling. Avoid installing near air conditioners or heaters. Damage from incorrect installation voids warranty.
How do I reset the projector to factory defaults?
Go to Menu > Management, select Reset, and choose Yes. This restores all display parameters to factory default settings.
Why is the image flickering or unstable?
Press the Re-Sync button on the remote or control panel. If the issue persists, use the Tracking adjustment in the Image-II menu to fine-tune signal timing.
How do I set a password for security?
Go to Menu > Management > Security Settings, press Enter, and create a 4-8 character password. Enable Security Mode to require password on startup. The default password is 0000.
What does the ECO mode do?
Enabling ECO Mode in Menu > Lamp Setting dims the lamp, reducing power consumption and extending lamp life by up to 130%. Use it when lower brightness is acceptable.
