Frequently Asked Questions - HNK347 INVENTUM

How to turn on the HNK347 heating pad?
Set the sliding switch to position 1, 2 or 3 to turn it on. The temperature levels then light up.
How long does it take for the pad to heat up?
The pad has rapid heating: it heats faster during the first 10 minutes. For immediate warmth, set to level 3.
Can I machine wash the heating pad?
Yes, it is machine washable at 30°C, wool cycle (very gentle). Use a delicate laundry detergent. Do not use bleach, do not tumble dry, and do not iron.
Does the pad turn off automatically?
Yes, after approximately 90 minutes of use, the automatic shut-off deactivates the heating. The indicators then flash. To reuse, set the switch back to 0, wait 5 seconds, then select a level again.
Is this pad safe for children?
Not suitable for children under 3 years. For ages 3-8, use only under adult supervision after setting the switch. From age 8, autonomous use is allowed if the child understands the safety instructions.
What does the ISS safety system mean?
The INVENTUM Safety System (ISS) prevents overheating. In case of failure, it irreversibly cuts off the heating. The indicators turn off. The pad must then be sent to customer service.
Can I use the heating pad with a pacemaker?
Electromagnetic fields are low (≤ 5,000 V/m, ≤ 0.1 mT), but they may interfere with some pacemakers. Consult your doctor and the pacemaker manufacturer before use.
How to attach the pad to the body?
Place the pad against your stomach or back, wrap the elastic band around your body, and adjust the hook-and-loop closure for a comfortable fit.
What if the indicators do not light up?
Check that the switch is properly connected to the pad and that the outlet works. If the switch is on 1, 2 or 3 and nothing lights up, the ISS system may have deactivated the device. Contact customer service.
How to store the heating pad?
Unplug the cord and let it cool completely. Store in its original packaging, flat, without sharp folding and without placing objects on top.

4.1 Safety

INVENTUM HNK347 - Safety - 1

CAUTION

This heating pad is fitted with the INVENTUM SAFETY SYSTEM (ISS). This electronic sensor technology prevents the entire surface of the heating pad from overheating by automatically switching off in the event of a fault. If the safety system switches off the heating pad automatically as a result of a fault, the display for the temperature settings is no longer illuminated even when the heating pad is switched on.

Please note that, after a fault has occurred, the heating pad can no longer be used for safety reasons and must be sent to the service address indicated.

4.2 Initial use

INVENTUM HNK347 - Initial use - 1

CAUTION

Ensure that the heating pad will not bunch up or become folded during use.

  • First, connect the controller to the heating pad by inserting the plug-in coupling.
  • Then plug the mains plug into the socket.
  • Place the heating pad on your stomach or back. Subsequently guide the long, elastic rubber strap around the body and secure the heating pad by closing the hook-and-loop fastener.
