Trimming the insoles to size

IMPORTANT

The heating element is located in the region of the toes.

▶ Under no circumstances should you cut within the warning symbol ⊖, as this may damage the heating element.

First, select the shoes in which you wish to wear the insoles 2. Bear in mind that the insoles 2 are ca. 4 mm thick and that the better the shoe is insulated against cold, the longer you can heat with a single battery charge.

The trim mark 3 for different shoe sizes are printed on the bottom of the insoles and serve only as a guide for trimming.

Initially, trim the insole ^2 slightly larger than needed. Determine the required actual size by using an existing insole.

◆ Cut along the trim mark 3 and adjust the insole 2 at the heel and sides to your individual size.

NOTE

In the final state the insole ② should fill the entire foot bed and it not be possible for it to move in the shoe.

Charging the battery pack

The battery packs ⑦ re charged via the supplied power adapter ⑧. For safe and faultless operation of the appliance with the electrical connection, observe the following instructions:

GB

IMPORTANT

▶ Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with that of your mains power supply. This data must be compatible to avoid possible damage to the device.
▶ Ensure that the mains power cable is not damaged and that it has not been laid over hot surfaces and / or sharp edges.
▶ Ensure that the mains power cable is not overtaut or kinked.
▶ Do not let the power cable hang over edges (trip wire effect).

◆ Plug the power adapter 8 into a mains power socket. Ensure that the battery packs 7 are switched off (function indicators 5 do not glow).

Connect the connector plug 9 of the power adapter 8 with the connection sockets 4 of the battery packs 7 The function indicators 5 glow red and the battery packs 7 re being charged. The optimum charging time is a minimum of 6 hours and a maximum of 8 hours.

◆ The battery packs⑦ are fully charged when the function indicators ⑤ glow green.

NOTE

▶ Frequent overcharging of the battery pack⑦ (over 8 hours) results in a reduction of both efficiency and service lifetime.
For longer storage periods (e.g. over the summer), the battery packs ⑦ should be charged to half their capacity (charging time approx. 3 hours) to extend their service life.

Handling and operation

In this section you receive important information for the handling and operation of the appliance.

Switching the insoles on / off / selecting the heat setting

Place the trimmed insoles ② in your shoes with the printed side down and run the cable upward along the heel.

◆ Attach the battery pack ⑦ using the straps to your shoes and connect the connector plug ① of the insoles ② with the connection sockets ④ of the battery pack ⑦ see Figure 1).

By pressing the function switch 6 once again, the heat level II can be switched on. The function indicator 5 glows red.

To switch the battery pack 7 off, press the function switch 6 once more. The function indicator 5 goes out.

NOTE

For quick warming, it is recommended to initially select the heat level II. It can later, if necessary, be turned down to the lower heating level.

▶ When the battery pack ⑦ is discharged, the function indicator ⑤ switches off and the insole ④ no longer heated.

Cleaning

IMPORTANT

▶ Protect the insole ^2 and the battery packs ^7 against moisture and the ingress of liquids.
▶ Do NOT use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solvents, otherwise the surfaces may be damaged.

■ Clean the battery pack⑦ with a dry lint-free cloth.

■ The insole② should be taken out of the shoes occasionally and aired.

Storage

■ Disconnect the battery packs ⑦ from the insoles ② if you do not intend to use them for longer periods.
