Frequently Asked Questions - CI 580 NAD

How do I perform a factory reset on the CI 580?
Unplug the unit from mains. After 30 seconds, press and hold the front panel Standby button while reconnecting power. Keep holding until the LED flashes red, then release. The unit will reset and reboot. A wired Ethernet connection must be maintained during the process.
What app do I need to control the CI 580?
Download the BluOS Controller App from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or for Windows/Mac desktops. It is required for initial setup and daily use.
What is MQA and how does the CI 580 handle it?
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is a technology that delivers studio-quality audio. The CI 580 includes a built-in MQA decoder and renderer. When playing MQA files, the LED indicator shows green for standard MQA and blue for MQA Studio files.
Can I use the CI 580 with a power amplifier?
Yes. The CI 580 has preamplifier outputs (4 analog RCA and 4 digital optical/coaxial). Connect these to the audio inputs of a compatible power amplifier, receiver, or processor.
How do I connect the CI 580 to my network?
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the CI 580's LAN port to your router. A wired connection is required for initial setup. After setup, you can use Wi-Fi via the BluOS App if supported.
What does the status indicator LED mean?
The LED shows different colors and blinks: solid blue = connected to network; solid red = booting; flashing green = no internet gateway; alternate red/green = upgrade mode; flashing red = factory reset in progress. See the manual for full details.
How do I control the CI 580 with an IR remote?
