This light is only suitable for indoor use in dry and enclosed spaces. This product is intended for private household use only.

- Scope of delivery

Avoid the risk of fatal injury from electric shock

• Check the light for damage every time before you use it. Never use the light if it shows any signs of damage.
  CAUTION! A damaged light means danger of death from electric shock. In the event of damage, repairs or other problems with the light please contact the service centre or a qualified electrician.
  To prevent hazards, a damaged flexible outer lead on this lamp must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service representative or an equally qualified professional!

Before use, verify the available mains voltage corresponds with the operating voltage of the lamp (230-240V\~).
- Ensure that the light does not come into contact with water or other liquids under any circumstances.
Always unplug from the mains before assembling, disassembling, cleaning, or if the lamp will not be used for extended periods.
Never open any of the components of the electrical equipment or insert any objects into the same components. This will pose a risk of fatal injury from electric shock.

This light is not suitable for dimmer or electronic switches.

Prevent fire and injury hazards

RISK OF INJURY! Check every illuminant for damage immediately upon unpacking. Do not install the light if the illuminants are defective. In this case contact the service centre for a replacement.

Do not look directly into the light source (light bulb, LED etc.).
Do not leave the light or packaging material lying unattended. Plastic film or bags, plastic parts etc. can turn into dangerous toys for children.
Do not cover the lamp or the mains plug with objects. Excessive heat can result in a fire.
■ Never leave the lamp unattended whilst in use.

Safe working

Mount the light so that it is protected from moisture and dirt.
Carefully prepare for assembly and allow yourself adequate time. Organise all parts and any necessary additional tools or materials before starting so they are easy to reach.
Always be attentive! Always pay attention to what you are doing and use common sense.
■ Never assemble the lamp if you are unfocused or feel unwell.

- Start-up

- Mounting the light

Note: Two people required for assembly.

Note: When assembling the support tube, be sure not to damage the mains lead 10 inside the lamp.

☐ Loosen the lock nut 5.
☐ Pull the upper support tube out of the middle support tube 6.
Tighten the lock must to secure the joint.
☐ Secure the joint using the socket screw (small) and the socket head wrench (small) 13.
Now screw the upper support tube clockwise into the lower support tube 7.
Carefully pull the mains lead out of the support tube.
☐ Screw a snap ring 9a onto each socket screw (large) 9.
☐ Push the socket screws (large) through the base 8 from below.
Place the decorative d96 over the socket screws from above.
☐ Secure the support tube to the base using the socket head wrench (large) 14.
Remove the lamp ring from the lamp socket 1.
Place the fabric lamp shade ^2 over the socket and secure the fabric lamp shade ^2 using the lamp ring ^3 .
Use a lint-free cloth when installing the lamp.
☐ Insert the E27 bulb into the socket and turn clockwise to secure.
Adjust the lampshade to the desired position.
☐ Plug the connector into a socket that has been professionally installed.

Note: The heavy net weight of the fabric lamp shade 2 greatly limits lateral positioning of the fabric lamp shade 2.

Your light is now ready to use.

- Switching the light on / off

☐ Switch the lamp on or off using the ON / OFF switch 11.

- Changing the bulb

CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

When replacing the illuminant, first disconnect the light from the mains. To do so, remove the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box (0 position).

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS DUE TO

HOT SURFACES! Allow the light to cool down completely.

• Only replace the lamp once it has completely cooled down.
  ☐ Use a clean, lint-free cloth when replacing the bulb 15.
  ☐ Turn the defective bulb 15 anticlockwise out of the bulb socket.
  ☐ Only use LED illuminants with a maximum output of 7 W and E27 base.
  ☐ Insert the new bulb 15 into the bulb socket and turn it clockwise to tighten it. Ensure that it is positioned correctly.
  ☐ Reinsert the fuse or switch the circuit breaker back on.

● Maintenance and Cleaning

SHOCK! First unplug the mains plug from the socket.

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS DUE TO

HOT SURFACES! Allow the lamp to cool down completely.

WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC

SHOCK! For electrical safety, never clean the light with water or other liquids, or immerse it in water.

Do not use solvents, benzene or similar substances. They could damage the light.

☐ Only use a dry, lint-free cloth for cleaning.

- Disposal

The package and packaging materials consist entirely of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.

The symbol of the wheelie bin with the line through it means that, in the European Union, the product has to be disposed

of in a separate refuse collection. This applies to the product and to all components bearing this symbol. Do not dispose of products bearing this symbol in your normal household waste, but instead they must be taken for recycling to a collection site for electrical and electronic appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and protects the environment.

Warranty

You receive a 36 month warranty on this product, valid from the date of purchase. The appliance has been carefully produced under strict quality control. Within the warranty period we shall rectify without charge all material and manufacturing defects. In the event of a defect arising during the warranty period, please send the appliance to the listed Service Centre address, making reference to the following article number: 14117401L/14117406L.

Wear parts (such as bulbs) and damage caused by improper handling, non-observance of the operating instructions or unauthorised interference are excluded from the warranty. The performance of services under the warranty does not extend or renew the warranty period.
