Frequently Asked Questions - ORF 630 VX Orima

How should I preheat the oven?
To preheat, select the desired function and set the temperature. Wait until the thermostat indicator turns off, indicating the oven has reached the set temperature. Preheating typically takes 10-15 minutes.
How do I clean the oven?
Clean the enamel interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners. For smoke and odors, use the pyrolytic or easy-clean function if available. Removable door glass can be washed separately.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press and hold the child lock button (often a key symbol) for 3 seconds until a beep sounds and a lock icon appears on the display. To deactivate, repeat the process.
How do I replace the oven light?
Disconnect the oven from power. Remove the glass cover by turning it counterclockwise. Replace the halogen bulb (usually 25-40W, 300°C resistant) with a new one. Do not touch the bulb with bare hands.
What should I do if the oven does not heat?
Check that the oven is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the timer is set correctly (not on manual stop). If still not heating, contact customer service.
Can I use aluminum foil in the oven?
Yes, but avoid covering the oven floor completely as it hinders heat circulation. Do not let foil touch the heating elements or thermostat. Use foil on trays to catch drips.
How do I set the timer?
Turn the timer knob clockwise to set the desired cooking time (up to 120 minutes). The oven will automatically shut off when the time expires. For minute minder function, turn counterclockwise.
What is the fan function for?
The fan function circulates hot air evenly inside the oven, allowing you to cook on multiple levels simultaneously and reducing cooking times. Ideal for baking and roasting.
How do I remove the oven door for cleaning?
Open the door fully, lift the locking levers on both hinges, then close the door partially until it stays open at an angle. Lift the door upwards and off the hinges. Clean the glass panels separately.
How do I activate automatic shut-off?
The automatic shut-off activates when the timer is set. After the set time elapses, the oven turns off. For safety, the oven also shuts off after 12 hours of continuous operation if not used manually.

Orima ORF 630 VX - SAFETY PANEL - 1

In order to protect against injury a safety panel must be installed

When fitting a gas oven above a drawer or cupboard unit, suitable precautions must be taken to prevent contact with the casing of the underside of the oven, which becomes hot during operation. The recommended method for overcoming this problem is to fix a wooden panel within the cabinet at a distance of 80 mm below the underside of the oven (see Figure-2). This panel must have adequate ventilation to the rear.

  6. Do not clean your oven with steam cleaners.

  7. Never use inflammable agents like thinners, petrol and acid, when cleaning your oven.

  8. Do not wash any part of your oven in a dishwasher.

  9. Clean the oven regularly to prevent heavy build-up of cooking spoil that can result in burning smells.

  10. Baked-on cooking spoil can give an appearance of 'blisters' in enamel on the floor of the oven, 'blistering' is not possible and bak on grease is not a manufacturing defect.

Cleaning the oven door

Clean the glass part of the oven using a sponge and a non-abras cleaning product, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Do not rough abrasive material or sharp metal scrapers as these co-scratch the surface and cause the glass to crack.

In order to clean the glass door of the oven;

  1. Remove the inner glass cover profile (across the top and many holes).(see diagram)

  2. Slide the glass out carefully, then clean and rinse glass thoroughly.

  3. After drying, re-install the glass in the door and refit top glass cover profile

Replacing the oven lamp

At first turn off the oven and ensure the oven is cold.

  1. Unplug the oven from the mains;
  2. Remove the glass cover of the lamp-holder (if any difficulty is encountered, then we recommend wearing a rubber glove will greatly help to grip the glass cover)

  3. Remove the lamp and replace with a lamp resistant to high temperatures (300°C) with the following characteristic:

■ Voltage 230 V
■ Wattage 15 W
■ Type E14 (Edison Pigmy Screw thread)

  1. Replace the glass cover and reconnect the oven to the mains.

Your oven will be ready for use after this process.
