What type of battery does the VMA208 use?

The VMA208 uses a standard 9V battery (6LR61 or equivalent). Alkaline type is recommended for longer life.

Can the VMA208 measure AC current?

Yes, the VMA208 can measure AC current up to 10 A. However, for currents above 200 mA, use the dedicated 10A jack.

How do I replace the fuse in the VMA208?

Open the battery compartment, locate the fuse holder. Replace with a 10A/250V fast-blow fuse of the same type. Do not use a higher rating.

What does the 'hold' button do?

The Data Hold function freezes the current reading on the display. Press the button again to release.

Is the VMA208 auto-ranging?

No, the VMA208 is a manual ranging multimeter. You must select the appropriate range and function with the rotary dial.

How do I test a diode with the VMA208?

Set the rotary dial to the diode symbol. Connect the red probe to the anode and black to the cathode. The display shows the forward voltage drop (typically 0.5-0.8 V for silicon).

What is the maximum voltage the VMA208 can measure?

The VMA208 can measure DC voltage up to 600 V and AC voltage up to 600 V (RMS). Do not exceed this limit.

Why does the meter turn off automatically?

The VMA208 has an auto power-off feature to save battery. It will turn off after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity. Press the 'HOLD' button or rotate the dial to wake it.

Can I measure resistance on live circuits?

No, always disconnect power before measuring resistance. The meter could be damaged or give incorrect readings.

What does the continuity beep indicate?

When the rotary dial is set to the continuity icon (sound wave), the meter emits a continuous beep if the circuit resistance is less than about 50 Ω. This helps test wires and connections.

4. What is Arduino ®

5. Overview

VMA208

This is a MMA8452Q accelerometer module. The MMA8452Q is a smart low-power, three-axis, capacitive MEMS accelerometer with 12 bits of resolution. It is packed with embedded functions with flexible user programmable options, configurable to two interrupt pins. Embedded interrupt functions allow for overall power savings relieving the host processor from continuously polling data. It has user-selectable full scales of +-2g/+-4g/+-8g with high-pass filtered data, as well as non-filtered data available real-time This board, breaks out the ground, power, I2C and two external interrupt pins, which make it easy to use in project.
