How do I descale my Fakir Goldie kettle?

To descale, fill the kettle with equal parts water and white vinegar up to the max line, boil, let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Alternatively, use a commercial descaling agent following its instructions. Repeat every 1-2 months depending on water hardness.

Can I boil less than 0.5 liters?

Yes, but always ensure the water covers the heating element to avoid dry boiling. For optimal performance, boil at least 0.5 liters.

Is the base cordless?

Yes, the kettle has a 360° swivel base with a cord. The kettle can be lifted off the base for cordless pouring.

How do I clean the filter?

The removable filter is located in the spout. Press the release button to remove it, rinse under running water with a soft brush, then reinsert. For stubborn limescale, soak in vinegar before rinsing.

What is the maximum capacity?

The maximum capacity is 1.7 liters, indicated by the 'MAX' mark on the water level window. Do not overfill to avoid boiling over.

Unpacking and first use

Unpack the device and check the content of the packaging for completeness. Should you note any damage incurred during transit, please contact your dealer immediately.

WARNING!

Never use a defective appliance.

NOTICE!

Keep the packaging for storage and future transports (e.g. for moves, service).

- Please read the instructions carefully before use.

• Completely unroll the cable.

- Throw away the first lot of water after boiling.

- Remove all packing material and stickers.

- Place the heating base on a firm and level surface.

- Pour the desired amount of clean water into the kettle, Do not touch any part of the kettle except the handle when the appliance is in use, and ensure that the lid is properly closed.

- The amount of water can be measured by the level mark on the outside of the kettle, Always pay attention to the minimum and maximum levels and ensure that the lid is properly and firmly closed.

- Position the kettle in such a way on the base that the underside of the kettle fits precisely into the contact on the base.

- Insert the plug into a wall socket.

- Put the water till below the MAX Sign.

- Put the on/off switch to its 'ON' position to start the heating process. The indicator lamp will light up.

- As soon as the water reaches boiling point, the on/off switch return automatically to the OFF position, the indicator lamp will go out. The water kettle can also be switched off manually by putting the on/off switch to the OFF position.

- The hot water may now be poured safely through the spout into another container, safety cut – out.

• This kettle is equipped with a safety cut –out to protect the appliance from damage in case of inappropriate use, should the appliance be accidentally operated without water or if all the water has evaporated the safety cut out will automatically switch off the heating element
• In such a case remove the plug from the wall socket immediately and refill the kettle only after an adequate cooling down period, about 15-20 seconds.

ATTENTION!

Never fill the kettle to above the MAX sign. Otherwise water might leak from the kettle.

Water might leak if you lay back the device more then 30^ . therefore pls make sure you do not lay back the kettle when there is a water inside.

Decalcifying

• Should the appliance switch off before reaching boiling point this is a sign that decalcifying is necessary.
• Cover the heating elements with vinegar and water (2/3 water and 1/3 vinegar), Boil 2 or 3 times. Pour out the water.
• Do not fill the kettle to the upper mark to avoid spillage if the descaling agent causes the water to foam.
• To clean the kettle thoroughly of any decalcification residues let it go through several boiling cycles using clean water with each cycle, Rinse the kettle with clean water afterwards.

Cleaning and Care

• Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely..
• Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
• Do not immerse the base or the kettle in any liquid, to clean the exterior, a slightly damp, lint-free cloth may be used.
• It is advisable to remove lime deposits from the kettle at regular intervals.
