Frequently Asked Questions - TDW6SS Tisira

How do I start a wash cycle on the Tisira TDW6SS dishwasher?
To start a wash cycle, first ensure the dishwasher is properly loaded and detergent is added. Plug in the appliance and turn on the water supply. Press the ON/OFF button to power on. Then press the Program button to select the desired wash program (the corresponding indicator light will illuminate). Close the door securely; the dishwasher will start automatically. If a delayed start is desired, press the Delayed Start button before closing the door.
What should I do if the dishwasher doesn't start?
If the dishwasher does not start, check the following: Ensure the power cord is plugged into a working outlet and the circuit breaker has not tripped. Verify the door is closed properly and latched. Confirm the water supply is turned on. Also check that the ON/OFF button has been pressed. If the problem persists, refer to the troubleshooting section in the manual.
How do I clean the filter system?
The filter system consists of a coarse filter, fine filter, and main filter. To clean, turn off the dishwasher and remove the lower basket. Rotate the fine filter counterclockwise and lift it out, then lift out the main filter. Rinse all filters under running water to remove food particles. Use a soft brush if necessary. Reassemble in reverse order: install main filter first, then fine filter and rotate clockwise to lock. The entire filter assembly should be cleaned once a week for optimal performance.
Why are there spots on my dishes after washing?
Spots or streaks on dishes are usually caused by hard water minerals or insufficient rinse aid. Ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled. The dispenser has an adjustable dial; try increasing the dosage by turning to a higher setting (recommended initial setting is 4). Also check that you are using a quality dishwasher detergent and that the water softener (if applicable) is correctly set. If using a detergent without phosphate, consider adding more detergent or using a longer program.
How do I adjust the rinse aid dosage?
The rinse aid dispenser has an adjustable dial located under the cap. Open the dispenser lid by turning the cap to the 'open' arrow and lifting. Inside, you will see a dial with settings from 1 to 6. To increase the dosage, turn the dial to a higher number (e.g., 5 or 6). The factory setting is 6. Start with setting 4; if spotting or poor drying occurs, increase the setting. If there is foaming or a bluish film, decrease the setting. Close the cap by aligning with 'open' arrow and turning to 'closed'.
What type of detergent should I use in the Tisira TDW6SS?
Only use detergents specifically designed for automatic dishwashers. Avoid using soap, laundry detergent, or hand washing detergent as they cause excessive suds. You can use powder, gel, or tablet detergents. For best results, especially with hard water, use a detergent that contains rinse aid or add rinse aid separately. Tablets may require longer wash cycles to dissolve completely. Always follow the dosage instructions on the detergent packaging and add detergent just before starting the cycle.
How should I load the dishwasher for best cleaning results?
Scrape off large food residues before loading. Place items with soiled surfaces facing down and tilted to allow water to run off. Load hollow items like cups and glasses with openings downward. Place knives and sharp utensils with handles up or horizontally in the cutlery basket. Do not overload; ensure spray arms can rotate freely. Large plates (up to 270 mm) can be loaded by folding down the plate racks. Refer to the loading diagrams in the manual for optimal placement.
What do error codes E1 and E4 mean?
Error code E1 indicates longer inlet time, meaning the water intake is restricted (e.g., faucet not fully opened, low water pressure, or kinked hose). Check the water supply and inlet hose. Error code E4 indicates overflow, meaning a leak is detected. Turn off the main water supply immediately and remove any standing water from the base pan before restarting. If the error persists, contact a service technician.
How do I install the Tisira TDW6SS dishwasher?
Installation should be performed by a qualified professional. The dishwasher can be installed as a built-in under a counter. Ensure the cabinet space is at least 550 mm wide and 555 mm deep with a height of at least 443 mm (adjust for decorative panels). Connect the cold water inlet hose to a 3/4 inch threaded faucet. Connect the drain hose to a drain pipe (min diameter 4 cm) or sink, ensuring the hose is not kinked and the free end is below 75 cm. Plug into a grounded outlet. Level the dishwasher using adjustable feet. Refer to the installation section for detailed dimensions.
How do I care for the dishwasher after use?
After each wash cycle, turn off the water supply and leave the door slightly ajar to allow moisture to escape and prevent odors. Clean the door seals and edges with a soft damp cloth. Periodically clean the filter assembly and spray arms. For exterior cleaning, use a soft cloth with warm soapy water; avoid abrasive cleaners. If the dishwasher will not be used for a long time, run an empty cycle, unplug, turn off water, and leave the door open. Do not use spray cleaners near the door lock.

A. Fill the Rinse Aid Dispenser

RinseAidDispenser

The rinse aid is released during the final rinse to prevent water from forming droplets on your dishes. That can leave spots and streaks. It also improves drying by allowing water to sheet off the dishes. Your dishwasher is designed to useliquidrinseaids. Therinseaiddispenserislocatedinsidethedoornexttothedetergentdispenser. Tofillthe dispenser, open the cap and pour the rinse aid into the dispenser until the level indicator turns completely black. Thevolumeoftherinseaaidcontainerisabout110ml.

FunctionofRinseAid

Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spot and streak free drying.

Attention!

Only use branded rinse aid for dishwasher. Never fill the rinse aid dispenser with any other substances (e.g. Dishwashercleaningagent, liquiddetergent). This would damage the appliance.

WhentoRefilltheRinseAidDispenser

If there is no rinse-aid warning light in the control panel, you can judge the amount of rinse-aid by the color of the optical level indicator located next to the cap. When the rinse-aid container is full, the whole indicator will be dark. As the rinse-aid diminishes, the size of the dark dot decreases. You should never let theirinseadget below 1/4 full.

B. Function of Detergent

Detergents with its chemical ingredients are necessary to remove dirt, crush dirt and transport it out of the dishwasher. Most of commercial quality detergents are suitable for this purpose.

Detergents

Thereare3sortsofdetergents

  1. With phosphate and with chlorine
  2. With phosphate and without chlorine
  3. Without phosphate and without chloride

Normally new pulverised detergent is without phosphate. The water softener function of phosphate is not given. In this case we recommend to fill salt in the salt container even when the hardness of water is only 6 °dH. If detergents without phosphate were used in case of hard water often white spots appear at dishes and glasses. In this case please add more detergent to reach better results. Detergents without chlorine do only bleach a little. Strong and coloured spots will not removed completely. In this case please choose a programme with higher Temperature.

Concentrated Detergent

Based on their chemical composition, dishwasher can be split in two basic types:

■ conventional, alkalinedetergentswithcausticcomponents

■ low alkaline concentrated detergents with natural enzymes

The use of “normal washing programmes in conjunction with concentrated detergents reduces pollution and is good for your dishes; these wash programmes are specially matched to the dirt-dissolving properties of the enzymes of the concentrated detergent. For this reason “normal wash programmes in which concentrated detergents are used can achieve the same results that can otherwise only be achieved using “intensive programmes.

Detergent Tablets

Detergent tablets of different brands dissolve at different speeds. For this reason some detergent tablets cannot dissolve and develop their full cleaning power during short programmes. Therefore please use long programmes when using detergent tablets, to ensure the completeremoval of de tergentresiduals.

How to Keep Your Dishwasher in Shape

■ AfterEveryWash

After every wash, turn off the water supply to the appliance and leave the door slightly open so that moisture and odors are not trapped inside.

■ Remove the Plug

Before cleaning or performing maintenance, always remove the plug from the socket.

■ NoSolventorAbrasiveCleaning

To clean the exterior and rubber parts of the dishwasher, do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products. Only use a cloth with warm soapy water. To remove spots or stains from the surface of the interior, use a cloth dampened with water with a little vinegar, or a cleaning product made specifically for dishwashers.
