Locking Hubs Adjustment

Loosen the two adjustable locking hubs by turning the knobs on each hub 2 or 3 turns only so that the spring loaded hubs release the interlocking teeth.

Bike Support Arm Positioning Secure Lateral Straps

Adjust the bike support arms until they tilt slightly upward. Tighten the adjustable locking hubs by turning the knobs until the teeth on the hubs interlock.

Now hold the trunk mount carrier in place in the center of your car trunk and attach the 2 upper straps with rubber hooks on to the leading edge of the trunk (see detail in figure 2).

Now attach the 2 lateral straps with rubber hooks to the side lips of the trunk (as show in figure 2).

The hooks will seek their final position as the straps are tightened.

Secure Lower Straps

Now attach the 2 lower straps with rubber hooks to the lower lip of the trunk (as shown in figure 3).

Tighten all straps making sure that the bike carrier remains centralized on the trunk lid.

Tie A Knot For Added Security

Tighten all the straps securely. For added security tie a knot in the free end of each strap (as shown in figure 4).

Bicycle Transportation

Load the heaviest bike first onto bike arm so that the heaviest bike is closest to the vehicle (as shown in figure 5).

Different Bike Frames

Anti sway cradles (Part #8) can be rotated on the bike arm to accommodate different bike frames.

Tighten Rubber Straps IMPORTANT!

Ensure rubber straps (part #10) are tightened securely around bike frame.

Adjustable rubber straps for No.8 & No.9

Red Security Strap

Loop the red security strap around all bikes that are mounted on the bike carrier and around the upper trunk frame of the bike support arm in the space between the scratch resistant foam bumpers.

Tighten the red security strap so that all bikes are held close to the rear of the vehicle. This will prevent the bikes from rocking backwards and forwards during acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle.
