How do I turn on the Jata PH-10 heated blanket?

Plug the blanket into the mains and set the on switch (2) to position 4 (maximum heat) for a few minutes, then adjust to your desired setting (1-3).

What do the indicator lights mean?

When turned on, the indicator (3) will glow green briefly, then yellow. During operation, green and yellow alternate to show temperature regulation. If the light turns red, immediately disconnect and check for folding or damage.

How do I clean the heated blanket?

The slip cover is machine washable at 40°C. Do not use bleach, tumble dry, dry clean, or iron. The blanket itself should only be cleaned with a slightly moistened sponge, avoiding the control unit.

Can I use the blanket while sleeping?

Do not sleep with the blanket turned on. If using for extended periods, set the switch to position 1 (minimum heat) and always use the slip cover.

Is the blanket safe if folded or wrinkled?

No. Do not use the blanket when folded or wrinkled, as this can cause overheating. The red indicator light may appear; if so, unplug, stretch it flat, and restart.

What is the auto-off feature?

The blanket has an automatic shut-off timer that turns it off after 90 minutes. To restart, set the switch to '0', wait a few seconds, then select your desired heat setting.

Can children use this heated blanket?

No. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Children over 3 may only use it if the controls are pre-set by a responsible person and they are instructed in safe use. Do not allow unsupervised cleaning.

Why does the blanket smell when first used?

A slight odor may occur on first use due to synthetic materials. This is normal and will dissipate after a few uses. Ensure good ventilation.

Can I use the blanket on a pet?

No. The blanket must not be used with animals.

What should I do if the cable is damaged?

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

- Connect the appliance to the mains and, first of all, place the On switch (2) in its maximum position (no. 4). Keep it in this position for some minutes. Then, if you wish, you may turn it down.

- When turning the appliance on, the indicators (3) will turn green for a few seconds and then yellow. After a period of time the green and yellow lights will alternate continuously, which indicates connections and disconnections to keep the selected temperature.

- Notice the switch positions.

Position 1: Minimum heat.

Position 2-3: Medium heat.

Position 4: Maximum heat.

Position 0: Turned off.

- Stretch it well out on the desired part of your body, without folds or bends. Cover it with a towel, blanket or similar item. This will prevent loss of heat. It will be more effective when the pillow and its slip are in contact with your skin.

• The model PHC50 has been especially designed to relieve back and neck pains. The adhesive belt in the top allows you to adjust it in the neck and with the plastic band you can adjust it to the body. Nevertheless you can use this model in any other part of your body with the same therapeutic benefits.
• WARNING: If the indicator lights turns to red color, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains. It must be checked by an Authorised Technician. This situation can be produced due to a not correct using, for example when it is folded or bent. When this happen, switch off the unit from the mains, stretch it completely and switch it on again. Once the red color indicator light has disappeared the appliance is correct but if the indicator light still shows the red color, the appliance must be checked.

AUTO OFF

• The pillow has a timer (AUTO OFF) that automatically disconnects it after 90 minutes have elapsed since starting to be used.
• If you wish to continue using it when such system has disconnected it, you must place the On switch (2) in the "0" position, wait a few seconds and then place the switch in the desired position.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• Before cleaning, make sure that it is disconnected from the mains and left to cool.
• The pillow slip may be washed in a washing-machine at no more than 40°C. Bleach must not be used nor must it be dried in a dryer. It must not be dry cleaned or ironed either.
• Do not wash the pillow or dry clean it. You can clean it with a slightly moistened sponge.
• You must avoid wetting the switch or handset when washing.
• When drying, the cable must be placed away from any water to prevent it from entering the handset.
• Do not use chemical or abrasive products, metallic scourers to clean the appliance.
