Safety
- Toast can start to burn, so the product should not be placed close to or beneath flammable materials such as curtains.
- Never use the product together with a timer switch, multi-socket extension lead or similar device.
- Unplug the mains lead and let the product cool before cleaning it. If the product has a crumb tray it should be emptied and cleaned regularly. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the housing. Never use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents.
- The product may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Never let children play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the product and its mains lead out of reach of children under the age of 8.
- Place the product on a flat, fire resistant and durable surface.

Remove all packaging before use.

Do not place the product where there is a risk of it falling into water or other liquid.
- Ensure that the product is used with the correct voltage. Refer to the rating plate on the product.
- Make sure that the lead does not come in contact with hot surfaces such as cooker hobs.
- The product should only be used as described in this manual.
- Keep in mind that the product may get hot during use.
- Keep an eye on the product if you are using it close to children.
- Never insert cutlery, tools or other foreign objects into the product.
- Always unplug the product from the wall socket before cleaning it or when it is not to be used for a long time.
- Never subject the product to knocks or blows.
- Do not pull or carry the product by its mains lead. Do not use the lead as a handle and do not let it fasten in door jambs. Do not pull the lead around sharp corners or edges.
- This product is only intended to be used and stored indoors.
- Do not use the product if the mains lead or its plug is damaged. Do not use the product if you have dropped it on the floor, left it outdoors or dropped it into water.
- Do not open the housing. Certain components inside the casing carry dangerous electrical current. Contact with these components could result in electric shock.
- This product should only be repaired by a qualified service technician.
- The product must not be taken apart or modified.
- If the product should start to emit smoke, switch it off immediately and pull the plug out of the wall socket.

Operating instructions
Note:
- Only use appropriately sized bread slices. Never attempt to toast bread with any kind of filling, bread which crumbles when handled or any other kind of bread which is likely to get stuck inside the toaster.
- The first time you use the toaster you might detect a smell emitted by the heating element. This odour is normal and will soon disappear. You can try operating the toaster a couple of times without any bread in it.
Toasting
- Connect the mains lead to a 220–240 V power point.
- Insert the slices of bread into the toasting slots.
- Choose the desired browning level, 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest).
- Press the lever down. Toasting will begin and the [CANCEL] button light will come on.
- When toasting is complete, the bread will pop up automatically and the toasting lever will return to its original position.
- The browning control can be adjusted as desired. Do not adjust the browning control whilst toasting is in progress. Press the [CANCEL] button first and then turn the browning control knob to re-adjust. Then resume toasting with the new setting.
Note: The top of the toaster can become very hot.
Reheating previously toasted bread
- Connect the mains lead to a 220–240 V power point.
- Insert the slices of toast into the toasting slots.
- Press the lever down.
- Press [REHEAT].
- The toast will be reheated for a short while. Keep an eye on the toast to make sure that it does not burn. Cancel the reheating function by pressing [CANCEL] or wait until the toasting lever returns to its original starting position.
Defrosting frozen bread slices
- Connect the mains lead to a 220–240 V power point.
- Insert the frozen bread slices into the toasting slots.
- Press the lever down.
- Press [DEFROST].
- When defrosting is complete, the bread will pop up automatically and the toasting lever will return to its original position.
Care and maintenance
- Clean the toaster using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Empty and clean the crumb tray regularly. - Always unplug the toaster from the power point when it is not in use.
Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local council.

Obs!
- Bruk kun brødskiver av passende størrelse. Rist aldri brød som har fyll, brød som har gått i stykker eller brødsorter som på annen måte ikke passer i sporene.
- Varmeelementene i risteren kan avgi litt lukt de første gangene den brukes. Dette er helt vanlig og forsvinner raskt. Kjør brødristeren uten brød i ett par ganger før du rister brød første gang.
Risting
- Koble strømkabelen til et 220–240 V jordet uttak.
- Plasser brødskivene i brødkammeret.
- Still inn varmereguleringen i ønsket posisjon 1 (lyst) til 6 (mørkt).
- Press nedsenkningsspaken ned. Brødet sentreres midt i brødslissen og [ CANCEL ] tennes.
- Når ristingen er fullført vil nedsenkningsspaken gå tilbake til startposisjon og brødskiven(e) løftes opp.
- Juster ristegraden dersom det er ønskelig. Ikke drei på innstillingen for ristegrad mens risting pågår. Trykk [ CANCEL ] og drei så på innstillingsrattet. Start deretter ristingen på nytt.
