Frequently Asked Questions - GTN 482610 GCH GRUNDIG

How do I clean the lint filter?
Open the loading door, pull the lint filter upwards, open it, and remove lint by hand or with a soft cloth. Close and reinsert. Wash with warm water if clogged, and dry completely before reinstalling. Clean after every drying cycle.
How do I drain the water tank?
Pull out the water tank drawer carefully, remove the tank, pour out the water. If lint accumulates in the funnel, rinse under running water. Reinsert the tank. Drain after each drying cycle. Condensed water is not drinkable.
How to connect the dryer to HomeWhiz WiFi?
Press and hold Anti-Creasing/Settings buttons for 3 seconds to enter settings. Navigate to WLAN Setup and set to On. An 8-digit password will appear. On your smart device, connect to the dryer's WiFi network using that password. Then open the HomeWhiz app and follow setup instructions.
What is the child lock and how do I activate it?
The child lock disables all buttons except On/Off/Cancel to prevent interruption. To activate, press and hold the Buzzer Selection Button for 3 seconds. The lock symbol appears on the display. Deactivate by pressing and holding the same button again for 3 seconds.
Why does drying take too long?
Possible causes: clogged lint filter (wash with warm water), clogged filter drawer (clean sponge and filter cloth), blocked ventilation grids, small room (ventilate), dirty dampness sensor (clean with vinegar), overloaded drum, or low spin speed in washing machine. Check each accordingly.
What should I do if the dryer doesn't start?
Check: plug connection, loading door closed securely, programme selected and Start/Stand-by pressed, child lock deactivated. If power failure occurred, press Start/Stand-by to resume. Also ensure water tank is not full.
How do I clean the dampness sensor?
Open the loading door and let the dryer cool. Wipe the metal sensor surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with vinegar, then dry. Clean 4 times a year. Do not use metal tools, solvents, or cleaning agents.
How to clean the filter drawer?
Press the kick plate button to open the kick plate, turn the filter drawer cover to remove, pull out the drawer, press the red button to open. Take out the sponge and filter cloth. Clean lint from cloth by hand; wash both sponge and cloth in warm water if clogged. Dry thoroughly before reassembling. Clean when warning light flashes (every 3 cycles).
Can I install the dryer under a counter?
Yes, if the counter height is sufficient. Use the appropriate under-counter installation kit (stock numbers: 2979700200 for 60 cm depth, 2973600200 for 54 cm depth). Leave at least 3 cm clearance around the sides and rear. Note that drying times may extend.
What is the maximum load capacity of the dryer?
The maximum load capacity is 8 kg (dry laundry weight before washing). Do not overload; refer to the programme selection and consumption table for specific programme capacities.
