Grilling/cooking methods
With this grill you can use different grilling/cooking methods for preparing your food. The method depends on the food:

natural_image
Two identical stainless steel portable steamers with heat sinks and control knobs, shown from different angles (no text or symbols visible)- Direct grilling with open cover, with heat from below, recommended for food with a cooking time below 25 minutes, as e. g. steaks for all kinds, lamb chops, sausages, skewers of meat, vegetables or fish, shellfish etc.
- Indirect grilling with closed cover is recommended for food with a longer cooking time, as e. g. whole chickens and fish, rolled roast etc. The heat is evenly distributed in the inside and so the food becomes evenly done and remains tender and juicy.
Low-fat grilling

Grilling tips
• Season the meat before grilling, salt it afterwards, otherwise, too much juice will be lost.
• Sausages are slit before grilling so that they will not burst.
- For being prepared on the open grill, meat should be cut in even slices with a thickness of 2 - 3 cm.
- Meat tastes especially good if it is marinated for some time before being grilled.
- If possible, the food should be taken out of the refrigerator 1/2 hour in advance. Then, it will be grilled more quickly and evenly.
- Frozen food should be completely defrosted before grilling.
- Choose the side dishes according to your personal taste and let your imagination run free. Delicate sauces, herbed butter, fried vegetables, fresh salads, potatoes en papillote and garlic bread taste especially good with barbecued food.
Everything you usually prepare on a ‘normal’ grill like sausages, steaks, skewers or grilled vegetables come out perfectly on your stand grill with open cover. But now, you additionally have the possibility of indirect grilling with closed cover. When using this possibility, you can supervise the temperature very easily via the temperature display in the cover. Thus, you can also use your grill for chicken, rolled roast, knuckle of pork, spareribs and other pieces of meat à la “American Barbecue”, but it can also be used as mini and pizza oven. Even recipes of the field ‘low temperature cooking’ can be realised with this grill with closed cover.
Your grill is also perfectly suitable for making side dishes like potatoes en papillote and baguettes with herbed butter when the cover is closed. Even for desserts, the appliance can be perfectly used: grilled fruit skewers and baked apples as well as muffins or small yeast cakes, hearty or sweet with fruit come out perfectly. Let your imagination run free!
