How do I reset the Edimax WAP1200 to factory defaults?

Press and hold the reset button on the device for about 10 seconds until the LEDs flash. The device will reboot with default settings (IP 192.168.2.2, username: admin, password: admin).

What is the default IP address and login for the WAP1200?

The default IP address is 192.168.2.2. The default username is admin and the default password is admin (or blank on some versions).

How do I access the web management interface?

Connect your computer to the WAP1200 via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, set your computer to obtain an IP automatically (or use 192.168.2.x), then open a browser and go to http://192.168.2.2. Log in with the default credentials.

How can I update the firmware on the WAP1200?

Download the latest firmware from the Edimax website. Log into the web interface, go to Management > Firmware Upgrade, select the file, and click Upgrade. Do not power off during the process.

Does the WAP1200 support PoE (Power over Ethernet)?

Yes, the WAP1200 supports 802.3af PoE, allowing you to power it through the Ethernet cable without a separate power adapter.

Can I use the WAP1200 as a wireless repeater?

The WAP1200 is primarily an access point, but it may support WDS (Wireless Distribution System) for bridging. Check the web interface under Wireless Settings > WDS for configuration options.
