1 Safety Information

Please read this operating instruction manual thoroughly.

Intended use

The telephone is suitable for telephoning within a public telephone network system. Any other use is considered unintended use. Unauthorised modification or reconstruction is not permitted. Under no circumstances open the device or complete any repair work yourself.

Installation location

Prevent excessive exposure to smoke, dust, vibration, chemicals, moisture, heat and direct sunlight.

Do not use the handset in potentially explosive areas.

Power adapter plug

⚠ Attention: Only use the power adapter plug supplied because other power supplies could damage the telephone. The socket outlet should be installed near the equipment and you should ensure access to the power adapter plug is not obstructed by furniture or such.

Rechargeable batteries

⚠ Attention: Never throw batteries into a fire. Only use batteries of the same type. Pay attention to the correct polarity. Incorrect polarity of the batteries represents a risk of explosion during charging.

Power failure

The telephone cannot be used to make calls in the event of a power failure. Always keep a cord connected telephone which operates without an external power supply available in case of emergency situations.

Medical equipment

⚠ Attention: Never use the telephone in the vicinity of medical equipment. Effects on such equipment cannot be fully ruled out. It is recommended that if you have a pacemaker fitted you check with a medical expert or your health adviser before using this product.

DECT ^1 telephones can cause an unpleasant humming sound in hearing aids.

Earpiece Volume

Your telephone can amplify the earpiece volume significant (up to 30 dB). If the amplification is activated, the display shows (●)

In the menu (HS setting / Boost) you can switch the amplification on or off. When the amplification is "Off" you can set the earpiece volume to level 1...5.. With one of the other settings you can increase the earpiese volume to 5 higher levels.

When „Memory on“ is activated, the chosen earpiece volume will be set permanently.

When "Auto Reset" is activated and the volume is set to "Volume 06...10", the volume will be reset to "Volume 05" if the active call is ended.

Extreme caution should be taken if the handset is to be shared between users with normal hearing and those with hearing impairment.

Disposal

In order to dispose of your device, take it to a collection point provided by your local public waste authorities (e.g. recycling centre).

According to laws on the disposal of electronic and electrical devices, owners are obliged to dispose of old electronic and electrical devices in a separate waste container.

The adjacent symbol indicates that the device must not be disposed of in normal domestic waste!

Batteries represent a hazard to both health and the environment! Never open, damage or swallow batteries, nor allow them to get into the environment.

They may contain toxic and ecologically hazardous heavy metals. You are legally obliged to dispose of batteries at the point of sale or at appropriate collection points provided by your local public waste authorities. Disposal is free of charge. The adjacent symbols indicate that batteries must not be disposed of in normal domestic waste and but at authorised collection points.

Packaging materials must be disposed of according to local regulations.

2 Preparing the Telephone

Safety information

⚠ Attention: It is essential to read the Safety Information in Chapter 1 before starting up.

The power adapter plugs supplied fulfils the eco-design directive of the European Council (Directive 2005/32/EC). This means that power consumption is considerably lower than power adapter plugs of an earlier design both in operating and idling modes.

Connecting the base station

⚠ Attention: Position the base station at least 1 m away from other electronic devices, otherwise there is a risk of mutual interference. Use only the power adapter plug supplied with the base station ! You should ensure access to the power adapter plug is not obstructed by furniture or such.

Connect the base station as illustrated in the diagram. For reasons of safety, only use the power adapter plug and telephone connection line supplied.

Connecting the charging station ^2

Connect the charging station to a mains power outlet.

⚠ Attention: Use only the power adapter plug supplied with the charging station! You should ensure access to the power adapter plug is not obstructed by furniture or such.

Inserting the batteries

Open the battery compartment cover.

Put in the batteries.

Close the battery compartment cover.

⚠ Attention: Use only type AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, 1.2 V, 500 mAh. Never use normal batteries / primary cell batteries. Observe the correct polarity!

Charging the batteries

Before the handset is used for the first time, insert it in the base station / charging station for at least 8 hours.

The handset warms up during the charging process. This is normal and does not represent a risk. Use only the adapter plug unit provided for the charging

station. The battery status is shown on the display. When the battery capacity is nearly exhausted, the battery symbol ( ) will flash and you will hear a short beep (if activated / HS setting / HS sound / Low batt).

You should now put the handset for charging into the base station or the charging station.

Setting the time and date on the handset

At initial operation the handset does not have the correct time (e.g. for entries in the call list). The display shows "00:00" underneath the handset's name.

Date and time are set through the menu item "Clock/Alarm / Set time".

Setting the display language

The display language is available in different languages. The default setting is “German (Deutsch)”. Set the language using the menu item “HS setting / Language” (“MT-Einstell. / Sprache”).

Auto Answer

If this function is activated, an incoming call is taken when the handset is removed from the base station. The automatic answering function is activated and deactivated using the menu item “HS setting / Auto Answer”.

Switching the handset on and off

You can switch off the handset for saving battery capacity. You can not use a switched-off handset; it will not ring on incoming calls.

Press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds. The handset will turn off.

For re-activating the handset press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds again.

4 Preliminary Information

This chapter provides basic information on using the operating instruction manual and the telephone.

Battery capacity (display)

During the charging of the battery the icon is animated.

Standby mode

All descriptions in this operating manual assume that the handset is in Standby mode. The system switches to Standby mode by pressing the button.

Navigating in the menu

All the functions can be accessed via the various menus. The entire menu structure can be found in the appendix.

The menu is opened in idle mode with the key OK OK

Use the arrow keys and to move within the menu.

Press the key to open a submenu.

To return to an upper menu level press the key.

Reduction of radiation

During a call the handset's radiation will be reduced due to its distance to the base station.

If only one handset is registered, the base's transmitting power will be reduced significantly if the handset is placed in the base.

Display icons

You are in a call.
handsfree is activated.
The phonebook is open.
The keypad is locked.
The microphone is muted.
There are entries in the call list. In case of new calls the icon is flashing.
You have a message waiting on the network (depending on your provider). Please contact your provider for information.
(●) Earpice volume amplification is active.
The handset ringer is set to "Off".
An alarm is set.
Steady on: handset within range of the base station.
Flashing: handset out of range.
There are more digits on the left/right (not displayed).
The answering machine is switched on.

Special key functions

In addition to their “normal” behaviour some keys have special functions:

Key hongpress in idle state locks/unlocks the keypad.

Key Enters a space during input of names.

Key ☐ngpress in idle state switches the handset ringer on/off.

Key During playback of answer machine messages: pause / resume of playback.

Key During playback of answer machine messages: skip back to previous message.

Key During playback of answer machine messages: skip forward to next message.

5 Telephoning

Taking a call

Your phone is ringing.

If the handset is not in the base station:

Press the Off Hook button. To activate Handsfree press the Off Hook button once again.

If the handset is in the base station and Auto Answer is not activated:

Remove the handset from the base and press the Off Hook button. To activate Handsfree press the Off Hook button once again.

If the handset is in the base station and Auto Answer is activated:

Remove the handset from the base - the call will be taken automatically.

Making a call

Enter the telephone number.

Delete wrong characters by pressing. R

The telephone number is being dialled.

You can also press the Off Hook button and you will hear the dialling tone. The entered number will be dialled immediately. It is not possible to correct wrong digits individually using this dialling procedure.

Ending a call

Press the On Hook button or replace the handset in the base station.

Redial

Your handset saves the last 5 dialled telephone numbers. If a caller is stored in your phone book, the name will be displayed.

Open the redial list.

Select an entry.

Press the Off Hook button.

Making a call from the call list

Your handset saves the numbers of the last 40 incoming calls in the call list. If a caller is stored in your phone book, the name will be displayed.

Saving can only take place if the function “Phone number transmission (CLIP)” is available at your connection and caller ID is not suppressed by the caller or was not transmitted for any other rea

Making a call from the phone book

You can store up to 50 entries in the phone book.

Making a call using the direct call keys

Your phone provides two direct call keys M1 und M2. For storing and editing entries see section “Editing telephone book entries”, page 17.

M1 / M2

Press one of the direct call keys. The stored telephone number will be dialled immediately.

Call timer

Your handset automatically times the duration of every call in hours, minutes and seconds.

Muting the microphone

During a call you can switch your handset's microphone off. Press and hold for approx. 3 seconds.

To unmute press and hold again for approx. 3 seconds.

Internal calls

Internal calls, transfers and conference calls are only possible if multiple handsets are registered.

Making an internal call

Press the menu key.

Select Intercom and press OK.

ect the desired handset if necessary and press OK.

Press the Off Hook button.

Transferring an external call to another handset

During an external call . . .

Press the menu key.

Select Intercom and press OK.

ect the desired handset if necessary and press OK.

Press the Off Hook button. When the called handset answers you can announce the call transfer.

Press the On-Hook key. The call will be transferred.

If the called handset does not answer you will get back to the external call by pressing the key.

3-Party Conference

During an external call . . .

Press the menu key.

Select Intercom and press OK.

ect the desired handset if necessary and press OK.

Press the Off Hook button. When the called handset answers press .

The 3-party conference is established.

If any handset hangs up during a conference call will leave the other handset still in connection with the external call.

External call during an internal connection

When you are on an internal call the base ringer will announce an incoming external call. On the handset the incoming call will be displayed.

Press the Off Hook key to take the external call. The internal call will be ended.

Options during a call

During a call you can access the following options by pressing

6 Other features

Key lock

The key lock prevents functions assigned to buttons being activated inadvertently. Incoming calls can still be taken in the normal way even when the key lock function is activated.

Press and hold the star-key until you hear a short beep and the icon appears in the display.

For unlocking the keypad press the star-key again until you hear a short beep and the icon disappears.

Switching the handset ringer on/off

You can turn off the ringer via the menu item "HS setting / HS sound / Ring volume" as well.

Press and hold the #-key until you hear a short beep and the icon appears in the display.

For turning the ringer on again press the #-key again until you hear a short beep and the icon disappears.

Muting the handset ringer for an incoming call

In case of an incoming call you can mute the handset ringer. Nevertheless, you will be able to take the call as long as the caller did not hang up.

Press the on-hook button.

Setting the earpiece/loudspeaker volume

During a call you can adjust the volume in 5 levels using the volume keys on the side of the handset (if telephoning “normally” -> earpiece volume, with hands-free -> loudspeaker volume). These separate settings will remain at the last selected level when you end the call.

When amplification is activated you can increase the earpiece volume up to level 10; please refer to the note on page 3.

7 Call list / Redial

Editing the call list

Open the call list.

/ Select an entry. Date and time of the respective call are shown. If the caller's number is stored in the phonebook, the name will be shown.

Press the menu key, select one of the following options and press OK:

Save Number The telephone number will be stored in the phone book. Enter a name, confirm or edit the telephone number and select a melody for the entry.

Delete The entry will be deleted immediately.

Delete all The complete list will be deleted after a confirmation query.

Editing the redial list

Open the redial list.

/ Select an entry. If the caller's number is stored in the phonebook, the name will be shown.

Press the menu key, select one of the following options and press OK:

Save Number The telephone number will be stored in the phone book. Enter a name, confirm or edit the telephone number and select a melody for the entry.

Delete The entry will be deleted immediately.

Delete all The complete list will be deleted after a confirmation query.

8 Phone book / Direct call keys

Your phone can store up to 50 private phonebook entries with names and two numbers each (e. g. Mobile/Fixed net). You can assign an individual melody to each entry. Always enter the phone numbers with the area code; this enables a correct display of the respective caller for whom there is an existing entry and whose phone number transmission to your connection is available.

Creating a new entry

Open the phonebook.

Empty telephone book: Empty is shown. After pressing OK you will see Add.

Press the menu key.

If there are entries: the first entry is shown.

Press the menu key twice

Enter the name (max. 12 characters). Letters are also imprinted on the digit keys. Letters, digits and special characters are entered by pressing the relevant key the respective number of times. You can delete the last character with

R. Use the switch to capitals and back again. After a short time the cursor skips one position forwards.

Press the menu key.

Enter the (first) telephone number (max. 24 digits). If your telephone is connected to a PBX start the telephone number with the access code. If a dialling pause is needed, press after the access code for approx. 2 seconds. A P appears in the display.

Press the menu key.

Enter the (second) telephone number as described above (max. 24 digits).

Press the menu key.

/ Select a VIP melody for this entry.

Press the menu key.

Editing telephone book entries

Open the phonebook.

Select

an

entry.

Press the menu key, select one of the following options and press OK:

Add You can create a new entry (see above).

Edit You can edit the entry. Use to delete characters and numbers then add new characters and numbers as required. Please refer to "Creating a new entry".

Delete The entry will be deleted.

Delete all The complete list will be deleted after a confirmation query.

Copy to The entry will be copied to one of the direct call keys.

Select M 1 oder M 2 and press OK. Select a telephone number if necessary and press OK.

Usage The number of entries is shown.

You can enter the first letter of the desired name using the alphanumerical keypad. The first matching entry is shown. Scroll to the desired entry using the arrow keys and .

9 Setting the telephone

Date/Time

Press the menu key.

Select Clock/Alarm and press OK.

Select Set time and press OK.

Enter step by step the year, the day, the month, the hour and the minute using the digit keys and confirm each with OK.

Time format

Press the menu key.

Select Clock/Alarm and press OK.

Select Time format and press OK.

Select 12-hour or 24-hour and press OK.

Date format

Press the menu key.

Select Clock/Alarm and press OK.

Select Date format and press OK.

Select DD/MM or MM/DD and press OK.

Alarm

Press the menu key.

Select Clock/Alarm and press OK.

Select Set alarm and press OK.

ne of the following options and press OK:

Once

Select On and press OK. Enter the alarm time using the digit keys. The alarm is given once at the specified time. For switching the alarm off select Off and press OK.

Daily

Select On and press OK. Enter the alarm time using the digit keys. The alarm is repeated daily at the specified time. For switching the alarm off select Off and press OK.

Handset ringer / attention tones

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select HS sound and press OK.

ne of the following options and press OK:

Ring volume	Select the desired volume (Off, 1...5 or 1...10 with amplification activated / refer to the note on page 3) and press OK.
Ext. ring	Select a melody for external calls and press OK.
Int. ring	Select a melody for internal calls and press OK.
Key tone	Select Off, On or Melody and press OK.On: A beep is to be heard for every key press.Melody: Depending on the pressed key different tones are to be heard.
Low batt Select	Off or On.On: An attention tone is given when the batteries are nearly exhausted.
Out-of-range	Select Off or On.On: An attention tone is given when the handset moves too far from the base.

Setting the equalizer

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select Equalizer and press OK.

ne of the following options and press OK:

Treble Select this setting to increase the higher frequencies and press OK.

Natural Select this setting for a natural sound and press OK.

Bass Select this setting to increase the lower frequencies and press OK.

Setting the boost function

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select Boost and press OK.

ect one of the following options and press OK:

Memory on Select this setting to activate the boost function permanently. This allows you to set the earpiece volume up to level 10 / refer to the note on page 3.

Auto reset Select this setting to activate the boost function only for the current call. This allows you to set the earpiece volume up to level 10 / refer to the note on page 3.

Off Select this setting to deactivate the amplification. You can set the earpiece volume in 5 levels.

Setting the contrast

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select LCD contrast and press OK.

ect the desired contrast and press OK.

Setting the handset name

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select Handset Name and press OK.

Use to delete characters then add new characters as required (max. 10 characters).

Use to switch to capitals and back again.

Press OK to finish.

Setting Auto Answer

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select Auto Answer and press OK.

Select On or Off and press OK.

If Auto Answer is on an incoming call will immediately be taken when the handset is taken from the base.

Setting baby call

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select Baby call and press OK.

Select On and press OK.

Use the digit keys to enter a telephone number and press OK. Use to delete digits if necessary.

If activated Baby call is flashing in the display. Pressing any key except the menu key and the on-hook button dials the stored telephone number. To deactivate select Menu -> HS setting -> Baby call -> Off.

Setting automatic keypad lock

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select Auto keylock and press OK.

Select On and press OK.

If activated the keypad will be locked 90 seconds after pressing a key for the last time. To unlock the keypad press and hold down or approx. 2 seconds.

To deactivate select Menu -> HS setting -> Auto keylock -> Off.

Setting the display language

Press the menu key.

Select HS setting and press OK.

Select Language and press OK.

Setting the base ringer volume

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Ring volume and press OK.

e desired volume and press OK.

Setting the base ringer melody

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Ring tone and press OK.

e desired melody and press OK.

Clear the VMWI indication

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Clear VMWI and press OK.

If the display shows a message in your voice mailbox (network operator dependent), but you do not have a mailbox, you can clear the display. In case of doubt or for further information, contact your network operator.

Select a base station

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Select base and press OK.

e desired base or “ Auto” and press OK.

If your handset is subscribed to several base stations you can select a base station to operate with the handset ("1...4"). When "Auto" is activated, the handset will automatically choose the closest base unit in standby. During a call there will be no changing of the base station.

Setting the dialling mode

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Advance and press OK.

Select Dial mode and press OK.

Select Tone or Pulse and press OK.

In most situations the "Tone" option should be selected.

Setting the recall time

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Advance and press OK.

Select Recall time and press OK.

Select Short (xx ms), Medium (xx ms) or Long (xx ms) and press OK.

The typical setting for access to analogue telephone networks in Germany is "Short".

Setting a prefix

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Advance and press OK.

Select Prefix and press OK.

Enter a prefix using the digit keys and press OK. Use to delete characters if necessary.

This menu item allows you to enter a prefix. To prepend the prefix before dialing a number, press the 0 key for about 2 seconds.

Example 1: You have stored the prefix "01000".

• Enter the telephone number 1234. The display shows "1234".
• Press the 0 key for about 2 seconds. The display shows "010001234".
• Press the Off-hook button to dial the number.

Example 2: You have stored the prefix "01000".

• Open the phone book and select an item
• Press the 0 key for about 2 seconds (if there are 2 numbers stored to this entry these are shown. Select the desired number with the arrow keys, for example, 987654321).
• Press the 0 key for about 2 seconds.
• The telephone number "01000987654321" is dialed immediately.

Entering SOS numbers

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Advance and press OK.

Select SOS number and press OK.

Select one of the memories 01 - 04 and press OK.

Enter a SOS number (max. 8 digits) using the digit keys and press OK. Use to delete characters if necessary.

By entering the emergency numbers you define telephone numbers that can be dialed by manual input even if the keypad is locked. Please note that there are telephone numbers of up to 8 digits allowed. It makes sense to store the "official" emergency numbers e. g. 110 or 112 here.

Changing the PIN

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select

Advance and press OK.

Select Change pin and press OK.

Enter a new PIN using the digit keys and press OK.

The PIN is necessary when registering new handsets. In delivery state the PIN is 0 0 0 0.

Resetting the phone

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select

Advance and press OK.

Select Reset and press OK. The telephone will be reset after a confirmation query.

Handset and base station will be reset to delivery state. All memorys will be erased.

10 Answering machine

The answering machine offers a recording time of approx. 15 minutes (incl. OGMs).

There are two modes possible:

- OGM 1 = Answer and record

- OGM 2 = Answer only.

In delivery state two standard OGMs are recorded, which can be replaced with your own announcements (max. 2 minutes each).

Operation on the base station

Answering machine on/off

Press to switch the answering machine on and off. When switching the answering machine on the current OGM is played back. To change the operation mode use the handset menu.

Playback messages

Press ▶Th■ messages are played one at a time. If there are new messages, only the new messages (those that have not been heard) are played.

During playback, you can:

• go to the beginning of the current message.
• skip back to previous message (press twice).
• stop playback.
• skip forward to next message.

Deleting messages during playback

Press . The current message will be deleted.

Deleting all old messages

Only old messages (already heard) are deleted.

In standby press and hold down for approx. 2 seconds. All old messages are deleted.

Operation on the handset

Playback messages

Press the menu key.

Select Play message if necessary and press OK. The messages will be played from first recorded to last one by one via the louspeaker. If you want to hear the messages via the earpiece press

To switch the loudspeaker on again press

During playback, you can:

3 Skip forward to next message
1 Repeat message / skip back.

Taking a call from the answering machine

Once the answering machine has taken a call you can listen to the caller on the base station (if "Call screen" is activated).

If you want to intercept the call and speak to the caller, press |. The answering machine will stop recording.

Answering machine on/off / Select OGM

Press the menu key.

Select Ans machine and press OK.

Select Answer mode and press OK.

Select Ans and Rec (with recording), Answer only (without recording) or Off and press OK.

OGM: check / delete / record

Press the menu key.

Select Ans machine and press OK.

Select OGM 1 (with recording) or OGM 2 (without recording) and press OK.

Play OGM The current OGM will be played via the handset's loudspeaker.

Delete Your personal OGM will be deleted. The standard OGM cannot be deleted.

Record OGM Speak your personal OGM to the handset's microphone after the beep. To stop recording press OK. The answering machine will playback the recorded OGM.

Record a memo

You can record memos for other users. These memos are considered an incoming message that can be picked up later by the user. The max. recording time for a memo is 2 minutes.

Press the menu key.

Select Ans machine and press OK.

Select Record memo and press OK.

Speak your memo to the handset's microphone after the beep. To stop recording press OK.

Call screening

	Press the menu key.
	Select Ans machine and press OK.
	Select Call screen and press OK.
	Select On or Off and press OK.

If call screening is activated you can listen to the caller via the base station's loudspeaker.

Setting answer delay

	Press the menu key.
	Select Ans machine and press OK.
	Select Ring delay and press OK.
	Select 02, 04, 06, 08 Rings or Toll saver and press OK

Select the delay for answering the call: select 2...8 rings or "Toll saver". If "Toll saver" is set, a call will be taken after 5 rings, if no new messages are available. If new messages are available, the answering machine will answer after two rings. Therefore you can check remotely whether or not new messages are available without having to make a connection.

Setting the ICM length

	Press the menu key.
	Select Ans machine and press OK.
	Select ICM length and press OK.
	Select the maximum time for an incoming message (180s, 150s, 120s or 90s) and press OK.

The remote PIN is a 4-digit code used to operate the machine remotely (refer to "Remote Operation"). The remote access code is set to '1 2 3 4' by default.

Remote operation

The answering machine can be operated remotely using a tone-dialling (DTMF) telephone.

1. Dial your own telephone number.
2. • If the answering machine is set to on it will answer after the preset delay. During the announcement press the star key 2 times. You will hear a beep.

3. If the answering machine is set to off you will hear a beep after approx. 12 ring signals. Press the star key 2 times. You will hear a beep.

4. Slowly enter the current remote PIN.

5. You will hear two short beeps for confirmation.

6. You now have the following options:

3 Skip to next message
1 Skip back to previous message / Repeat current message
* Stop playback
4 Answering machine on/off
5 Record memo
0 delete current message

1. Replace the receiver to exit remote operation.

11 Registering/de-registering handsets

Six handsets can be registered to a base station. The handsets delivered with your telephone are already registered.

Each handset can be registered to four base stations.

To register a “foreign” handset please refer to it’s user manual.

Registering a handset of the same type

Press and hold down the paging key on the base station for approx. 10 seconds.

Press the menu key on the handset.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Register and press OK.

Select a number for the base station (1 - 4) and press OK.

Enter the relevant PIN for the base, the new handset should be registered on and press OK.

After a few seconds the handset will be registered.

Deleting a handset

Press the menu key.

Select Base setting and press OK.

Select Advance and press OK.

Select Deregister and press OK.

You can only cancel subscription of another handset, not the handset you are using to do the remove procedure.

12 PBX / Supplementary Services

PBX

If the telephone is connected to a private branch exchange, functions such as transferring calls and automatic call back can be used via the R button.

Refer to the operating manual provided with your private branch exchange as to which Flash time must be set in order to use these functions. The sales outlet where you purchased the exchange can provide information as to whether the telephone will work properly with the exchange.

Please remember to enter the access code and a neccessary dialling pause (longpress "0") when creating phone book entries.

Supplementary services

Your telephone supports supplementary services provided by your telephone network provider, such as brokering, call waiting and conference facilities.

These supplementary services can be used via the R-button.

Please contact your telephone network provider regarding which Flash time must be set to use the supplementary services. Contact your telephone network provider with regard to enabling supplementary services.

Should problems arise with the telephone, please refer to the following information first.

In the case of technical problems, contact our Hotline. Please refer to our website www.audioline.de for the telephone number.

In the case of claims under the terms of guarantee, contact your sales outlet.

There is a 2 year period of guarantee.

Some issues may simply be resolved by disconnecting the power to the unit. In such instances the power to the main base station should be switched off and batteries in the handset should also be removed for about 20 minutes. After which reconnect everything to determine if this has resolved the issue.

I can't make phone calls

• Make sure the phone cable is connected properly. If it is, there may be a fault. Please make sure you're using the phone cable that came with your phone.
• Check power's plugged in, switched on and working.
• Make sure you aren't too far from the base (in ideal conditions, it should work up to 300 metres outdoors and up to 50 metres indoors).
• Test the phone line and socket by using another phone.

I keep losing my connection

• Make sure you aren't too far from the base station (in ideal conditions, it should work up to 300 metres outdoors and up to 50 metres indoors).
• The base station may not be in an ideal location – consider moving it.

My handset keeps switching off

• It may need recharging. So it can charge fully, place your handset on its charger base for at least 8 hours (make sure the power socket is switched on!).
• Replace the rechargeable batteries. Any replacement batteries should be the same type as those provided.

Caller's identification (Call Line ID) isn't working

• Check you have this service on your phone line. Please call your network provider.
• The caller may have withheld their phone number.

My handset or base doesn't ring

- Check that the ringer is on. See pages 19 and 22.

I've got a buzzing noise on my radio, TV or computer

- We suggest you use your cordless handset at least one metre away from electrical equipment and mobile phones.

There is interference in the earpiece and/or internet connection is very slow when using the phone

- You must plug the phone into the wall socket via an ADSL filter if you have broadband internet on your phone line.

AUDIOLINE equipment is produced and tested according to the latest production methods. The implementation of carefully chosen materials and highly developed technologies ensure trouble-free functioning and a long service life. The terms of guarantee do not apply where the cause of equipment malfunction is the fault of the telephone network operator or any interposed private branch extension system. The terms of guarantee do not apply to the batteries or power packs used in the products. The period of guarantee is 24 months from the date of purchase.

All deficiencies related to material or manufacturing errors within the period of guarantee will be redressed free of charge. Rights to claims under the terms of guarantee are annulled following tampering by the purchaser or third parties. Damage caused as the result of improper handling or operation, normal wear and tear, incorrect positioning or storage, improper connection or installation or Acts of God and other external influences are excluded from the terms of guarantee. In the case of complaints, we reserve the right to repair defect parts, replace them or replace the entire device. Replaced parts or devices become our property. Rights to compensation in the case of damage are excluded where there is no evidence of intent or gross negligence by the manufacturer.

If your device shows signs of defect during the period of guarantee, please return it to the sales outlet in which you purchased the AUDIOLINE device together with the purchase receipt. All claims under the terms of guarantee in accordance with this agreement can only be asserted at the sales outlet.
