1. General

1.1. Safety Precautions

Only connect to mains power supply (230 Volt/50 Hz).
Do not place containers filled with water on top of the device.
Do not place the device in close proximity of water (e.g. sink, wash basin, etc.). The device can fall into the water and cause a short circuit.
The device consumes some power during standby operation. For zero power consumption disconnect from mains power supply.
Place the device on a stable surface to prevent it from tipping over and causing damages or injuries.
⚠️ Condensation can form if the device is placed in cold surroundings. Leave the device for at least one hour in standby mode.
Keep at least 10 cm distances at top and rear and 5cm at the sides for proper ventilation to avoid overheating.
Do not subject the device to direct sunlight or high temperatures; this can result in fire.

1.3. Battery Disposal

The law requires returning exhausted batteries to public collection points or the dealer.

1.5. Hearing Protection

Select a moderate volume to protect your hearing.
Only turn the volume to a level where you can still hear ambient noise.

1.6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning the Casing

Clean the casing with a dry cloth.

Before cleaning disconnect from mains power supply.
Do not clean with liquid cleaning agents or a wet cloth; this can cause a short circuit.

Cleaning CDs

Clean CDs with a soft cloth from the centre to the edge.

Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents.
Do not use pointed or sharp utensils for cleaning; this will damage the CD.

Cleaning the Laser

Dust or dirt can collect on the laser pick-up. Only use a commercially available special cleaner.

⚠️ Before cleaning disconnect from mains power supply.

Do not clean with liquid cleaning agents or a wet cloth; this can cause a short circuit.

2. Features

This Hifi system - DMS 7770 can play all Audio CD's and MP3 CD's.

Music playback is also possible via USB port.

You may also play your MP3 files directly from the MP3 player connected to AUX in.

⚠️ Purchase the AUX cable separately.

4. Preparation

4.1. Assembly the pedestal

Follow these steps to mount the base:

Unpack all parts for the pedestal.

If you are missing one of the parts for assembly, so please report it immediately to your dealer or our service facility.

  1. Plug the pedestal (front is where the recess is for the remote control) and the stilt together.

  1. Screw the longer screws on the underside of the pedestal on the stilt.

  1. Remove the two brackets and insert them with the tip pointing forward to the silt.

  1. Now place the holder (with the word CLOSE to you) on the bracket and adjust the screw holes.

  1. Place the stand under the main unit and slide the stand from down to upward. Hear if the device is snap into place

4.2. Wall mount

For a wall mount you need 2 wall plugs and screws.

We recommend you to take away the wall holder and to ask the consultant into a shop. Which anchors and screws for your wall at home are suitable.

If you have drilled the holes for the dowels, please proceed as follows:

  1. Screw the wall holder for the device to the wall.

  2. Check that the bracket is permanently mounted so that the device can not fall to the ground.

  3. Take the device and align it to the four standing bulges out. Than slide the device upwards until you hears the device is snap into place.

4.3. Insert batteries

4.3.1. Remote control

When you don't use the remote control, you can give it into the compartment on the pedestal
1. Insert two AAA batteries (1,5V LR03) observing the polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the battery.
Notes: Batteries not included - 2 pieces AAA (1,5V LR03) for remote control necessary!
The lifetime of the battery is approximately 6 months with normal use.
To avoid damage remove the battery from the remote control during extended periods of non-use.

4.3.2. Backup memory

The battery compartment for backup of the memory (clock and radio stations) located on the rear panel.

These two batteries are for backup of the “real time clock” and “radio memory preset stations during brief power outages”.

  1. Insert two AAA batteries (1,5V LR03) observing the polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the battery.

4.4. Clock setting

⚠ The clock setting works only in standby mode.

  1. Press MEMORY on the remote control for 1 second.
  2. Press NEXT or BACK to adjust 12 HRS or 24 HRS and confirm with MEMORY.
    Now, the hour indicator lights up.
  3. Press NEXT or BACK to set the hour and confirm by pressing MEMORY.
    Now, the minute indicator lights up.
  4. Press NEXT or BACK to set the minutes and confirm by pressing MEMORY.
    Correct time is now set

4.5. Timer / Alarm

With the timer function of the device, you can use the device at a set time automatically on or off. Program the timer as follows:

The timer only works when you already have set the clock.

  1. Press TIMER on the remote control for 1 second.

On the display ON appears and the hour indicator lights up.

  1. Press NEXT or BACK to set the hour and confirm by pressing TIMER.

Now, the minute indicator lights up.

  1. Press NEXT or BACK to set the minutes and confirm by pressing TIMER.

On the display OFF appears and the hour indicator lights up.

  1. Press NEXT or BACK to set the hour and confirm by pressing TIMER.

Now, the minute indicator lights up.

  1. Press NEXT or BACK to set the minutes and confirm by pressing TIMER.

  2. Press NEXT or BACK to Choose between TUNER (Radio) or CD mode and press TIMER.

  3. Now, you can still adjust the volume with NEXT or N BACK for playback and confirm by pressing TIMER.

The timer was successfully set.

5. CD player

Press FUNCTION on the remote control to use the CD player until CD appears on the display.

5.1. Insert CD / MP3-CD

  1. Press PUSH to open the CD door.
  2. Insert a CD with the label up and carefully press it down onto the ball bearing spindle.
  3. Close the CD door manually.

5.2. CD / MP3-CD playback

This system can play CD's / MP3-CD's in different playback modes.

  1. Press REPEAT on the remote control to select the desired mode.

  1. Press RANDOM on the remote control.
    Repeat all tracks on the CD in random order.

  2. Press INTRO on the remote control

The first 10 seconds of the tracks play.

5.3. Programming

5.3.1. Audio-CD

You can program your own playlist with up to 65 tracks.

  1. During playback press STOP before programming.
  2. Press MEMORY on the remote control until 00 P—01 is displayed.
  3. Press NEXT or BACK until the desired track is displayed.
  4. Press MEMORY to confirm.
  5. Repeat steps 2 until 4 to program further tracks.
  6. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback.

⚠️ Press STOP to delete the programming and open the CD deck. Then change to radio

5.3.2. MP3-CD

You can program your own playlist with up to 65 tracks.

If you have an MP3 CD with more as one album, please proceed as follows:

  1. During playback press STOP before programming.
  2. Press MEMORY on the remote control until the album number is displayed.
  3. Press P-UP or P-DN until the desired album is displayed and confirm with MEMORY.
  4. Press NEXT or BACK until the desired track is displayed.
  5. Repeat steps 2 until 4 to program further tracks.
  6. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback

⚠️ Press STOP to delete the programming and open the CD deck. Then change to radio

6. Radio

To use the radio, press FUNCTION on the remote control until TUNER appears on the display.

6.1. Saving radio stations

You can save anytime the radio station or frequency. This feature allows you to programming up to 30 presets for FM radio and 10 presets for AM radio.

  1. Press NEXT or BACK until the desired frequency is displayed.
  2. Press MEMORY and select with P-UP or P-DN the desired place.
  3. Confirm with MEMORY. The radio station has been saved successfully.
  4. Repeat step 1 until 3.
  1. Press NEXT or BACK on the remote control for 1 second to start the automatically search.
    Once a frequency with a radio station (depends on the strength of the signal) is found, the automatically search is stopping.
  2. Press MEMORY and select with P-UP or P-DN the desired place.
  3. Confirm with MEMORY. The radio station has been saved successfully.
  4. Repeat step 1 until 3.

6.2. Listening of the radio stations

Press P-UP or P-DN to switch between radio stations.

7. Sound scenarios

7.1. Bass

You can boost the bass for a more dynamic sound.

  1. Press BBS button on the remote control

The selection was successful, if BBS ON is displayed.

7.2. Effect

Press EQ until you have achieved the desired effect. The following effects are available:

PASS

POP

ROCK

JAZZ

CLASSIC

PASS means that the equalizer is off.

8. External components

8.1. Earphones

  1. Connect your earphones or headphones.

The speakers are muted if earphones are connected.

To avoid hearing problems do not use earphones or headphones for an extended period of time.
Increased sound pressure from earphones or headphones can cause hearing loss.
⚠️ See chapter 9 for further settings.

8.2. USB 2.0

Extend your system by connecting your MP3 player or USB stick.

Do not disconnect the device when “USB” mode is selected.

  1. Connect your MP3 player or USB stick.
  2. Press FUNCTION until „USB“ is displayed.
  3. Press PLAY to start playback.
    Only disconnect after pressing STOP and selecting with FUNCTION a different mode.

8.3. AUX

Connect external audio devices, such as MP3 players, via their audio output to this system and play your songs via this system.

They have an auxiliary input (Left / Right) on the back of the device.

The device plays your music over and over as long as the battery on your MP3 player holds.
Load your MP3 player on a regular basis in order to use this function.
If you select the source of "AUX", do not disconnect the device.

  1. Connect your MP3 player or USB stick.
  2. Press FUNCTION until the display "AUX" appears.
  3. Press PLAY to start playback.

Only disconnect after pressing STOP and selecting with FUNCTION a different mode.

9. Further operation

This operation you have for CD playback and for external components (AUX / USB).

10. Troubleshooting

“No disc”■ Insert a CD.■ Insert a finalized CD-RW or CD-R.■ Insert the CD with the label up.■ Try another CD or clean the CD.
Bad reception■ Increase the distance to TV set or DVD player.■ Point the antenna in a different direction.
System does not respond.■ Disconnect from mains power supply and reconnect after a few seconds.
Bad playback quality.■ Ensure the speakers are properly connected.■ Check the CD for damages.
No sound.■ Ensure the speakers are properly connected.■ Increase the volume.■ Disconnect the earphones.■ Deactivate MUTE mode.
Remote control does not work.■ Decrease the distance to the system.■ Exchange the battery.■ Point the remote control towards the system's IR sensor.
No CD playback.■ Check your CD for damages or scratches.■ Insert the CD with the label up.
USB stick / SD memory card does not work■ Use a different USB stick to check the function.

11. Warranty

This system comes with a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase.
