Honing guide On/Off switch Collection containerUse
- Wind up the power cord as much as needed and guide it through the openings on the housing. Connect the power plug to a 230V\~50Hz socket. If necessary, place a pad under the device, because some dust may be produced during sharpening.
- Turn the cap with the honing guide to the appropriate position.
A "clicking" sound must be heard.
- Place the device on a level surface. Keep pressing the switch when operating the device, because the sharpening disc will stop moving as soon as you release it.
- Insert the objects to be sharpened only after the sharpener has been turned on.
Always insert knives or scissors at the beginning of the shaft into the corresponding honing guide. With smooth movements, move the knives or scissors towards yourself. Do not move back and forth, as grinding will not be even.
Repeat the procedure until you have reached the desired sharpness. The quality of the results greatly depends on the quality of the steel.
Applying strong pressure or tilting the objects can block the sharpening disc.
Sharpen clean objects only, otherwise the disc gets dirty and the sharpening power decreases.
After 3 minutes, switch the device off so that the motor can cool down to room temperature.

Serrated knives are manufactured using a highly complex procedure. Sharpening such knives is therefore possible only in some cases.

Insert the knife into the right guide as far as possible to the right, and into the left guide as far as possible to the left.

Scissors must be open. Sharpen both blades of the scissors one after another. Be careful when touching the sharpened blade.

Screwdrivers must be sharpened on the front side. Tips of the blade can be brought into the correct form.

In this position the honing guide can be detached from the device. The sharpening disc is easily accessible. Now it is easy to sharpen small tools.
Always wear safety gloves when using the device without the honing guide.
Also use gloves when attaching the honing guide.
