Read the instructions carefully before use and keep it
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- The appliance is for indoor use only.
- The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the mains supply.
- If the iron is put down during use, it must be placed on a stable surface.
- Before placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the stand is located on a stable surface.
- The iron must not be used if it has been dropped, or if there are signs of damage or if it is leaking.
- The plug must be removed from the mains socket before the water reservoir is filled with water. (For steam irons and irons incorporating a water spray.)

Before using for the first time, please check whether the voltage rating on the rating plate corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.

Be sure to unplug the appliance from the socket when leaving the iron even for a short while, and stand the iron on its end. Put the iron out of the reach of children.

The iron will get very hot when used. In order to avoid the accidents, do not touch it with your hand or bring it close to flammable items.

Caution: Unplug the appliance from the socket before filling the iron with water.

Never immerse the iron in water or any other liquid.

If there is any damage to the power cable, please send the iron to our designated repair agent to be repaired.

Minerals and other substances in the water will cause scale that blocks the seam holes. So, it is advisable to use distilled water.

Do not use chemically descaled water.

The ejected steam is very hot and therefore hazardous. Never direct the steam towards people.

If you put the iron down, it must be placed on a stable surface.

If you place the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand has been placed is stable.

Do not carry the iron by the power cable. Do not use the cable as a handle. Do not pull on the cable in any way. Do not close any door on the cable. Do not pull the cable over sharp edges or corners. Keep the cable away from heated surfaces.

The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are any signs of damage or if it is leaking.
Warnings for the first use:
- The iron has been greased and as a result, it may smoke slightly when switched on for the first time. After a short time, this will stop.
- Before using the iron for the first time, remove any stickers or protective foil from the sole plate. Clean the sole plate with a soft cloth.
- Keep the sole plate smooth and undamaged by avoiding contact with hard objects.

Operation :
You can use this steam iron to iron items such as clothes, towels, tablecloths and bed sheets. This iron has an extremely smooth soleplate that makes it easier to iron. This appliance also has a steam function to easily remove stubborn creases from clothes.
Using for the first time :
- Remove all packaging from the appliance.
- Remove the protective foil from the soleplate.
- Clean the appliance, see 'Cleaning and Maintenance.

Fill the water reservoir with water via its opening. Only use the measuring cup provided.

Stand the iron on its heel on a level, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Insert the plug into the mains power socket
- Turn the temperature control dial to 'MAX'.
- Allow the appliance to warm up for ten minutes. This will allow any dust and manufacturing residues to burn away. A small amount of smoke may be released from the appliance whilst it is warming up. This is normal and does not indicate a problem with the appliance.
- Make sure there is sufficient ventilation.
• Take the appliance by the handle. - Hold the appliance horizontally above a sink or (wash) basin.
- Press the steam button (button up) in order to activate the steam.
- After 1 minute, turn the steam off by pressing the steam button again (button down).
- Turn the temperature to setting 'OFF'.
- Stand the iron on its heel on a level, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
- Allow the appliance to cool.
- Continue with the procedure in 'Using the appliance'.
Using the appliance
- Fill the water reservoir with water via its opening. Only use the measuring cup provided.
- Open the filling opening.
- Fill the water reservoir via its opening.
- Close the opening.
- Check that the water level in the water reservoir does not go over the maximum mark.
- Stand the iron on its heel on a level, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Insert the plug into the mains power socket.
- Set the temperature control dial to the desired setting. The temperature indicator will be lit. The temperature indicator light
will go out once the set temperature has been reached.
- Press the steam button (button up) if you would like to steam iron.
• Take the iron by the handle. - Iron your laundry.
- Press the steam button again (button down) in order to stop the discharge of steam.
- Stand the iron on its heel after use.
- Turn the temperature to setting 'OFF'.
- Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
- Clean the appliance, see 'Cleaning and Maintenance'.
Comment:
If water droplets are formed as well as steam whilst ironing, set the temperature-control dial to a higher setting.

- Always check the ironing instructions in your clothes.
- See the table below for the correct temperature setting.

- Always start by ironing fabrics that need to be ironed at a low temperature. Then iron fabrics that can be ironed at a higher temperature.
- If you set the temperature control dial to a lower setting, wait until the temperature indication light turns back on. Once the set temperature has been reached, the light will go out and you can continue ironing. This ensures that the appliance's temperature is not too high.
- For fabrics made from mixed fibres, adjust the iron's temperature setting for the most delicate fibre.
- If you have not used the appliance for a number of weeks, first carry out the procedure described in 'Using for the first time'.
- If you are using starch, clean the soleplate every so often with a soft, damp cloth to prevent scale build-up during use.
Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING: Before cleaning the appliance, always switch it off, unplug it from the electricity supply and allow it to cool down completely.
- Do not clean the appliance with an aggressive or abrasive cleaner, or with a sharp object such as a hard brush or knife.
- Empty the water reservoir.
- Use a damp cloth to clean the iron's housing and soleplate.
- Dry them with a dry cloth.
- If required, clean the soleplate with cleaning vinegar.
- Follow the instructions on the packaging for the cleaning vinegar.
Storage
Make sure that the steam button is down. Empty the water reservoir. Stand the iron on its heel in a dry place.
