Intended use
This appliance is designed for ironing clothes and textiles.
It is intended for domestic use.
Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury.
Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the scope of delivery for completeness.
- If the contents of the packaging are incomplete or if damage can be detected, do not operate the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.

Warnings for the Use of the Appliance

WARNING: Risk of Burns!
- The sole plate heats up quickly and takes a long time to cool down. Do not touch!
- The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
-
When ironing with steam, the appliance emits a lot of hot steam! Never aim the steam jet at people.
-
The appliance must be used and placed on a level and stable surface.
- When not in use, place the appliance with the soleplate in the storage tray.
- The appliance shall not be left unattended while connected to the mains.
- Only use distilled water!
- Do not overfill the water tank.
Connected Load
The appliance has a total power consumption of 1300 W. Do not use a multiple socket as this appliance is too powerful.
Notes for Use
Unpacking
- Remove any protective film and stickers from the soleplate.
- Unwind the power cable completely.
Water
Only use distilled water!
Battery water, water from the tumble dryer and water with additives (such as starch, perfume, fabric softener or other chemicals) should not be poured into the water tank.
This could damage the appliance as residues could form in the steam chamber. These residues can contaminate the ironed items when they fall out through the steam outlet openings.
Electrical Connection
- Make sure that the appliance voltage (see rating plate) and the mains voltage match.
- Only connect the mains plug with a correctly installed earthed socket.
Before First Use
- Clean the soleplate with a slightly damp cloth.
- To remove all residues before first use, iron a few times over an old, clean cloth.
Operation
Filling the Water Tank
Always place the appliance on the storage tray with the soleplate facing down!
- Pull the water tank out of the appliance.
- Turn the water tank over so that you can see the rubber stoppers.
- Open the large rubber stopper by pulling on the tab.
- Fill the water tank with the measuring cup supplied.
- Close the water tank after filling. Dry all sides of the water tank before reinserting it.
- Push the water tank back into the appliance.
Ironing with/without Steam
- Place the appliance on its storage tray or on the designated storage surface of your ironing board.
- Insert the mains plug into a correctly installed earthed socket.
- The control lamp lights up during the heating process. As soon as this goes out, the operating temperature has been reached. You can now start ironing.
- Press the steam button (8) to iron with steam. The steam pump will be activated.
- Pay attention to the water level indicator (4).
- If the amount of steam released is too low, wait until the appliance has heated up again.
- Place the appliance on the storage tray after each use. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
Vertical/Horizontal Steam Smoothing

WARNING: Risk of Burns!
The appliance emits a large amount of hot vapour. Never aim the steam jet at people.
- Hang the laundry on a hanger.
- Turn the soleplate vertically or horizontally. The soleplate must engage audibly.
- Insert the mains plug into the socket and bring the appliance approx. 3 - 5 cm close to the laundry.
- Press the steam button (8). The steam pump will be activated.
- Pay attention to the water level indicator (4).
- If the amount of steam released is too low, wait until the appliance has heated up again.
- Place the appliance on the storage tray after each use. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
Cleaning

WARNING:
• Always disconnect the mains plug from the socket before cleaning.
- Wait until the appliance has cooled down completely!
- Never immerse the appliance in water for cleaning. This could lead to an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Clean the housing with a dry cloth.
- Clean the soleplate with a slightly damp cloth.
Descaling
Decalcification is not intended for this appliance since it should only be used with distilled water.
Storage
- Clean the appliance as described.
- We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a longer period of time.
- Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
