This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures which are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The warranty will only be valid if the warranty application has been completed by the dealer at the time of purchase. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.

To protect against the risk of electric shock, never put the charging stand in water or other liquid.

Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Keep a close eye on children, to prevent they play with the unit.

The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

When the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the after sales service center of the manufacturer or a qualified electricien. Never try to replace the power cord yourself, to prevent accidents.

CHARGING THE UNIT

For the first use, it is necessary to charge the motor for 16 \~ 18 hours to fully charge the batteries.

To start charging the motor, insert the “L” plug in power supply into the receptacle in charging stand and then plug the power supply into an electric outlet.

Pull the soft lid sideways to remove it from the charging stand.

Pull the motor out of the main housing then slip it into the charging stand.

The red indicator in the charging stand will light up, indication that the motor is properly in place for charging.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. It is recommended that the charging stand always be stored plugged into an outlet, and always place the motor back in the charging stand whe not in use. Overcharging is not possible.
2. Avoid charging in a location where additional heating can take place sch as above a heat vent or kitchen stove.
3. The batteries will be totally charged after 15 hours.
4. The motor may become slightly warm during charging, this is normal and does not present a dangerous situation.

BLADE

Your grinder is delivered with three different blades. The bi-chamber food container is packed with the grating blade in place. The other two blades are stored inside the fit base together with a spare screw nut.

JSE

Pull downwards to detach the base from the main housing.

The shredding blade and the slicing blade are stored inside the base.

Twist the cup anti-clockwise until stops, lift it upwards to detach from the base cover.

And, remove the screw nut for blades.

To place the cup back to the base cover, position the interlock bracket ahead of the bracket slot to seat the cup, twist it clockwise until “click” sounds.

The bi-chamber food container is packed with the grating blade in place.

To interchange the blade, remove the screw nut, select the blade and place it by the center hole over the base post, put the screw nut back to the base post and turn it until just tight.

Note

Make sure the cutting side of the blade faces inwards to the food chamber.

PREPARE FOOD

The gastronomic grinder has been designed to grate, slice or shred hard cheese like Parmesan, semi-hard cheese, nuts, nutmeg and chocolate.

If use cheese with a rind, suggest to remove it first. Then cut the cheese, chocolate or other food into small chunks of proper size so that they will fit EASILY and

LOOSELY into the food chamber.

Stack food chunks in each chamber, and make sure they are NOT piled up over the partition wall.

The built-in partition wall for two divided chamber allows two foods combined to grate, shred or slice together at once.

ASSEMBLY

- Place the food container with the blade and the food in the housing.

- Place the food plunger in the food container

- Place the motor on the food plunger

- Now, the gastronomic grinder is properly assembled and ready for use.

USE

- Remove the base from the grinder.

- Hold the grinder with one hand.

- Take hold of the top of the grinder with the other hand.

- Press down the top of the grinder. The food now comes in contact with the blade and will get ground.

Note :

Hold firmly when pushing the top of the grinder.

HELPFUL HINTS

1. To grate or slice, hard cheese should be kept at room temperature.

To shred, semi-hard cheese should be refrigerated overnight or placed in the freezer for approximate 30 minutes before use.

It is not recommended to use soft cheese or processed cheese as it may clog the unit.

1. Even if push the top hard but with little flow, the food chamber may have been stuffed too tightly.

Cheese chunks should fit LOOSELY in the food chamber.

1. Sometimes when require to push the top hard at handling certain cheeses, the motor may sound as if it is laboring. This is normal.

2. As the batteries are discharged by use, the motor will speed down after certain uses.

While less and less flow, it indicates that battery needs to be recharged.

CONVENIENT STORAGE

Leftovers can be retained in the food chamber then stored in the fridge.

After use, take the motor out of the main housing, place it back in the charging stand. With the snug-fit base snapped at the bottom, the snug-fit soft lid over the top of the main housing, store it in the refrigerator to keep fresh, prevent pungent odor from wafting over other foods.

Notes :

For hard cheese leftovers, do not insert the motor to grate right after taking out from the refrigerator. Always held at room temperature for 15\~30 minutes before starting to grate.

CLEANING

After each use if not stored in the refrigerator, the main housing, the food container with the blade and the food plunger should be cleaned thoroughly by washing them in warm sudsy water helped with the cleaning brush for the hard-to-reach areas, then rinse and dry.

Remove the screw nut to detach the blade from the food container, then use the cleaning brush to clean the blade under tap.

The motor may be cleaned with a damp, soft cloth.

Notes :

1. Always place the blade back in the food container with the screw nut in place to avoid any missing parts after cleaning.

2. Never immerse the motor in water or any other liquid.

The main housing, the food container and the food plunger can be safely cleaned in the dishwasher.

After proper cleaning, place the food container and the food plunger back into the main housing, the soft lid over the top and the base snapped at the bottom.

REPLACING BATTERY

The rechargeable battery of your grinder is replaceable.

Unscrew the battery pack by turning it clockwise until the two white lines are alined. Pull the battery pack down.

Place the new battery pack by aligning the two white lines and turning the battery pack counter clock wise.

Note :

Never attempt to repair the battery pack or replace the batteries within the battery pack.

Replacement should only be sold or recommended by the appliance manufacturer.
