How to use the fondue?

Fill the pot with oil between the min and max levels, place it on the base, plug in and set the thermostat. Wait for the light to go out, then dip the meat pieces.

Can I use cheese or broth?

Yes, you can use cheese (cheese fondue) or broth (Chinese fondue) instead of oil. Make sure to respect the levels.

How to clean the pot and skewers?

Let cool, then wash with soapy water or in the dishwasher. The base must not be immersed.

What to do if the oil boils too much?

Lower the thermostat towards MIN to reduce the temperature. The oil should not boil.

Are the skewers dishwasher safe?

Yes, the stainless steel skewers and the ring support can go in the dishwasher.

Use oils suitable for high temperature: sunflower, peanut, corn germ oil or special fondue oil.

This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty. If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.

The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months.

The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

• If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.
  · In case of incorrect connection, e.g. electrical voltage that is too high.
  · In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.
• In case of insufficient or incorrect maintenance.
  · In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.
• If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier / manufacturer.

• Read all instructions carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.
• Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time. Make sure children cannot play with the packaging materials.

- All repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer or its aftersales service.

- Any injury or damage caused by failure to comply with these rules are at your own risk. Neither the manufacturer, importer, or the supplier may be held liable.

⚠️ELECTRICAL WARNINGS

- In order to avoid a hazard this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer or a separate remote control, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

- The appliance must be disconnected from its power source when not in use, during service and when replacing parts. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance. To disconnect, turn controls to “OFF” or “o” position, then remove the plug from the wall. Never pull the cord or appliance to remove the plug from the socket.

- Before use, check carefully that the electric tension and frequency of the power net at your home match the indications on the rating label of the appliance.

- The appliance must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with local installation regulations.

- Do not let the power supply cord hang over the edge of a counter, or touch hot surfaces.

• Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don't cover the appliance.
• Unwrap the cord completely to prevent overheating of the cord. Do not allow the power cord supply to run underneath or around the unit.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Prior to initial use, remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers.
• Before first use carefully clean the appliance. (See "cleaning and maintenance").
• Place the appliance on a dry, flat surface and ensure there is adequate ventilation.

USE

1. Put the base with the cooking plate on the table or another spot where you will be using the fondue. This way you avoid moving the fondue pot when the oil is hot.
2. Pour the oil into the fondue pot. There are 2 level marks on the inside of the pot, indicating the maximum and minimum levels. Make sure the oil level is between these 2 indicator lines. If not, the fondue can be damaged or it can be dangerous as you may get burned by splashing oil.
   Always use oil that is suitable for high temperatures, such as fondue oil, sunflower oil, peanut oil, maize germ oil, etc. The fondue can also be used with cheese or broth.
3. Put the pot on the cooking plate of the base and put the ring-shaped frame on the pot.
4. Plug in the appliance. Turn the thermostat knob to the desired position between MIN and MAX. The indicator light will light up.
5. Cut the meat in small, equal pieces (2 to 3 cm).
6. Wait until the oil has reached the desired temperature. When the set temperature is reached, the indicator light will turn off. Immerse a piece of meat in the oil to check if the oil is warm enough. If the meat starts cooking immediately, the oil has reached the necessary temperature.
7. Pierce a piece of meat with a fork and carefully put the fork into the oil. Be careful not to make the oil splash. Let the fork rest in one of the slots of the ring-shaped frame and wait until the meat is cooked. Depending on the amount of meat you immerse, the oil may start to boil. If this happens, turn the temperature knob towards the "MIN" position to reduce the temperature.
8. Do not cross the forks and carefully remove the forks from the oil to put the meat on your plate. Let the meat drip first before putting it on the plate.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

· As oil quickly loses its optimal quality, it is best to change the oil after every use.
- Switch off and unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning it.
- Clean the base with a soft cloth.
- Never use any abrasive products.
· Never immerse the base with the cooking plate in water or any other liquid.
- Clean the fondue pot, the ring-shaped holder and forks with water and some soap and a soft cloth or sponge. If necessary, soak the pot in hot soapy water.
· Never use scouring pads or scrapers since they can damage the appliance.
· The fondue pot, ring-shaped holder, and forks are dishwasher-safe.
· Wind the cord around the cord winder in the base for compact storage.

The oil/cheese is boiling. The oil or cheese must always remain below boiling point. Turn the thermostat knob down a little.
My cheese is too thick. When making a cheese fondue, make sure there is enough liquid. For example, make a roux in which you further melt the cheese. You can also add a splash of white wine.
