3. CHARGERS
3.1. Charger safety instructions
- Read and understand all instructions.
- Failure to follow all of the instructions below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious personal injury.
- Before using the charger, read all instructions and warnings in this manual, on the charger, on the battery, and on the product using the battery to avoid misuse of the products and possible injury or damage.
- Do not use the charger outdoors or expose it to wet conditions. Water entering the charger will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Using an accessory not recommended by the battery charger manufacturer may cause personal injury or damage to the unit.
- Do not abuse the cable or charger. Never use the cable to carry the charger. Do not pull the charger cable rather than the plug when unplugging it from the wall outlet. This could damage the cable or charger and create a risk of electric shock. If the cable or charger is damaged, have the charger replaced by an authorized technician.
- Make sure the cord is routed so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, come into contact with sharp edges or moving parts, or otherwise be subjected to damage or stress. This will reduce the risk of accidental drops, which could cause injury, and damage to the cord, which could result in electric shock.
-
Keep the cable and charger away from heat to avoid damage to the case or internal parts.
-
Do not allow gasoline, oils, petroleum products, etc., to come into contact with plastic parts. They contain chemicals that can damage, weaken, or destroy plastic.
- Always wear eye protection with standard side shields. Otherwise, objects could enter your eyes and cause serious injury.
- An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of an improper extension cord.
- That the pins on the extension cable plug are the same number, size and shape as those on the charger plug.
• That the extension cable is properly wired and in good electrical condition.
- Do not use the charger with a damaged cord or plug, as this could cause a short circuit and electric shock. If damaged, have the charger replaced by an authorized technician.
- Do not use the charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged. Take it to an authorized technician to check the electrical condition and determine if the charger is functioning properly.
- Do not disassemble the charger. Take it to an authorized technician when repair or service is required.
- Unplug the charger from the electrical outlet before performing any maintenance or cleaning to reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Unplug the charger from the power source when not in use. This will reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the charger if metal objects fall into the opening. It will also help prevent damage to the charger during a power surge.
- Risk of electric shock. Do not touch the uninsulated part of the output connector or the uninsulated battery terminal.
- Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you lend this tool to someone, also lend them these instructions to prevent misuse of the product and possible injury.

If the battery does not charge properly:
- Check the power at the outlet with another tool. Make sure the outlet is not turned off.
- Check that the charger contacts have not been shorted due to debris or foreign materials.
- If the surrounding air temperature is not normal, move the charger and battery to a location where the temperature is between 7^ C and 40^ C.
Attention
If the battery is inserted into the charger when it's warm or hot, the LED charging indicator light on the charger may turn orange. If this happens, let the battery cool outside the charger for approximately 30 minutes.
4. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Attention
To avoid the risk of fire, electric shock, or electrocution:
- Do not use a damp cloth or detergent on the battery or battery charger.
- Always remove the battery pack from the charger before cleaning, inspecting, or performing any maintenance.
Before performing any maintenance or cleaning tasks, always disconnect the charger from the power outlet.
Clean the exterior of the charger with a soft, dry cloth. Do not wash with a hose or water. Do not allow the battery or charger to get wet. Water ingress can destroy the unit.

6. ENVIRONMENT

It's essential to ensure that products and their components are disposed of responsibly to protect the environment. Below, you can find general guidelines for the proper disposal of various materials used in your machine.
EN
Dispose of your machine in an environmentally friendly manner. Machines should not be disposed of with household waste. Their plastic and metal components can be sorted according to their nature and recycled.
When disposing of machinery or metal products, keep in mind that their metal components, such as iron, steel, or aluminum, must be properly recycled in metal recycling facilities. This will contribute to the possibility of reusing them in the manufacture of new products.
Oils and Fuels
Used oils and fuels, among other things, must be properly recycled. Do not pour these liquids into drains, soil, rivers, lakes, or seas, as they can cause serious environmental damage. Direct them to a recycling center or specialized collection point. This process helps prevent water and soil contamination and, if possible, allows the oils to be reused safely.
Plastics
Plastics should be separated and taken to specific recycling points. Do not dispose of them with general household waste. Plastics can be recycled, contributing to waste reduction.
Cardboard
Packaging materials, such as cardboard, are recyclable. Be sure to separate clean, dry cardboard and place it in designated recycling containers or at an official waste collection point. Do not dispose of it with household waste.
Batteries
Batteries, accumulators, and other electronic components from the machines must be disposed of at designated collection points to prevent the release of toxic substances into the environment. Do not dispose of them with regular trash. Take them to appropriate recycling centers for safe and responsible handling.
By following these guidelines, you are contributing to environmental protection and resource conservation. For more information on disposal and recycling, please contact your local authorities for further information.
6.1. Battery disposal
The batteries used in this range contain toxic and corrosive materials. All toxic materials must be disposed of in a specific manner to prevent environmental pollution.
Before disposing of damaged or worn lithium-ion battery packs, contact your local waste disposal agency or the Environmental Protection Agency. Take the batteries to a local recycling and/or disposal center certified for lithium-ion disposal.
If the battery cracks or breaks, whether or not it leaks, do not recharge or use it. Discard it and replace it with a new battery. Do not attempt to repair it.
- Cover the battery terminals with heavy-duty adhesive tape.
- Do not attempt to remove or destroy any of the battery pack components.
- Do not attempt to open the battery pack or charger.
- If a leak occurs, the released electrolytes are corrosive and toxic. Do not allow the solution to come into contact with eyes or skin, and do not swallow it.
- Do not burn the batteries or the charger.
- Do not place them where they will become part of any waste landfill or municipal solid waste stream.
- Take them to a certified recycling or disposal center for these types of products.
