Operating and Safety Instructions

FOR INDOOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY

When using this or any other electrical appliance, always follow these basic safety precautions, especially when children are present.

READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious personal injury and property damage, please note the following:

  • Before each use, inspect the grill for any visible damage. If any parts are broken or damaged, do not use the grill and refer to the warranty policy on page 6 for guidance.
  • Set up the grill on a flat, heat-resistant surface to prevent it from tipping over or overheating.
  • Ensure there is proper ventilation in the area to avoid the accumulation of smoke or fumes, especially during heavy usage.
  • Keep the grill away from flammable items like paper towels, cloths and other combustible materials.
  • Upon initial use, a smoky smell may occur as protective coatings or films on the grill's parts burn off. This process is normal and ensures proper appliance function and safety.
  • Keep children and pets away from the grill when it is in use and while it is cooling down.
  • Never leave the grill unattended while in use to prevent accidents and fires.
    • Use the grill only for cooking purposes as described in the instruction manual.
  • Never use the grill on a wet or damp surface to avoid electrical hazards.
  • Ensure the grill and its electrical components are always kept dry. Never submerge the grill in water.
  • Always keep your hands dry when operating or adjusting the grill to prevent electric shock.
  • Use caution when cooking at high temperatures, as the grill can get extremely hot and cause burns.
  • Do not allow the grill to overheat by keeping the temperature settings within recommended levels.
  • Use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when handling the grill, as the cooking surface and handles can become very hot.
  • Use minimal oil or butter when cooking to prevent spills and grease build-up on the grill.
  • Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool before cleaning. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions carefully.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or utensils to clean the grill, as they may damage the cooking surface.

- Store the grill in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure the power cord is neatly coiled to prevent damage.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

- A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Using an extension cord with the grill is not recommended. However, if one must be used:

- The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as great as that of the grill.

○ Arrange the extension cord so that it does not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over or pulled.

WARNING: The grill is equipped with a 3-prong grounding plug as a safety feature. The plug will fit into an outlet in only one orientation. Never use the plug with an extension cord unless you can fully insert the plug into the extension cord and the extension cord must be a 3-wire grounding-type cord. Do not attempt to bypass the safety purpose of the plug.

- Overheat protection is a safety feature designed to prevent the grill from reaching dangerously high temperatures that could damage the grill or pose safety risks. If it happens, follow these safety precautions to ensure safe handling and avoid damage or injury:

  1. Disconnect the grill from the power source to stop further heating and reduce the risk of electrical hazards.

  2. Allow the grill to cool completely before attempting to move or inspect it to avoid burns.

  3. After cooling, check for possible causes:

■ Ensure vents or airflow openings are not obstructed.

■ Too much grease can cause overheating.

■ If the grill gets too hot frequently, the thermostat might be faulty.

■ The appliance shuts off automatically after extended use to prevent overheating.

  1. Clean the grill thoroughly according to the manufacturer's guidelines.

  2. Turn the grill on at a lower setting to test if it operates normally. Do not leave it unattended during this test.
