• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• DO NOT attempt to repair the appliance. There are no user serviceable parts. For service, send to a HoMedics Service Centre. All servicing of this appliance must be performed by authorised HoMedics service personnel only.
• Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch. Keep air openings free of lint, hair etc.
• Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a bath or sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

• Individuals with pacemakers and pregnant women should consult a doctor before using this appliance. Not recommended for use by Diabetics
• DO NOT use on an infant, invalid or on a sleeping or unconscious person. DO NOT use on insensitive skin or on a person with poor blood circulation.
  • If you feel any discomfort whilst using this appliance, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
• Use of this product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your GP.
• Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls.

How to assemble the device

Using the Abrasive Plate

1. Align the two protruding plastic parts inside the abrasive plate to the grooves on the rim of the dust trap and then rotate clockwise until it clicks into place.
2. Align the centre hole of the dust trap to the axis on the main body and then push until it clips into place.
3. Align the Protruding plastic parts on the rim of the protection shield with the slots on the rim of the main body, insert and rotate anti-clockwise to fix in place (to detach rotate clockwise).
4. After use, put the cover on the main body.

Using the Buffing Plate

1. Remove the abrasive plate if attached by reversing the above steps.
2. Align the centre hole of the buffing plate to the axis of the main body and then fix the buffing plate on the main body. (See the Figure on the right side.)

Insert the batteries

1. Remove the upper part of the main body from the main body by unscrewing it anticlockwise.
2. Push the two clips of the battery case cover downwards
3. The battery case is opened. Then, insert 4 x 1.5V Type AA batteries by following the polarity signs
4. Reassemble before use

How to use

1. The switch should be at the Off position .
2. You can select one of two speeds:

After use, turn the switch to Off.

1. Using light pressure place the surface of the rotating abrasive plate or buffing plate onto the heel or sole of your foot and gradually move the device around to target areas of hard callused skin. Check the results periodically until you are happy with the end result. Do not use for more than ten minutes at a time.

Recommended procedure for best results

• Soak your feet in warm water for about 10-15 minutes
• Clean your feet with towel.
• Remove calluses or hard skin with the abrasive plate and polish with the buffing plate.
• Rinse feet with clean water.
• Apply cream or lotion to your foot skin

Cautions

Before use, make sure that the abrasive plate is in good condition. Any malformation, distortion or damage may cause skin injury.

DO NOT APPLY EXCESS PRESSURE OR CAUSE THE MOTOR TO STOP ROTATING. FOR BEST RESULTS, RUN THE UNIT GENTLY OVER THE SKIN IN A ROTATING MOVEMENT. THIS WILL ENSURE SOFT, SAFE AND SMOOTH REMOVAL OF DEAD SKIN.

Maintenance and storage

• Frequently clean the container by using the cleaning brush supplied. Only clean the device with dry cloth. Do not use chemical agents including benzene, alcohol etc.
• Store batteries away from metal objects.
• Remove batteries if equipment is not going to be used for extended periods of time.
• Store batteries in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Turn the device off before you clean it
