How to recharge the VARMFRONT external battery?

How many devices can I charge at the same time?

You can charge up to 3 devices simultaneously using the 2 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C port. However, when two or three ports are used, the total power is limited to 5V / 3A (15W) shared.

How to activate low intensity mode?

While charging a device, press and hold the POWER button for 8 seconds. This mode is useful for devices requiring less than 100 mA on a USB-A port. To exit this mode, press the button for 3 seconds or wait 2 hours (automatic deactivation).

What do the LED indicators mean?

The LEDs indicate the remaining charge level of the external battery. Press the POWER button once to display this level. During charging, they flash; once all LEDs are steady, the battery is fully charged.

Can I use the USB-C port to charge the battery and a device at the same time?

The USB-C port is bidirectional: it serves both as an input to recharge the battery and as an output to charge your devices. However, it cannot do both simultaneously: when used as input, the output is disabled.

The battery heats up during charging, is this normal?

Yes, it is normal for the battery and devices to heat up slightly during charging. They cool down gradually once charging is complete. If the temperature becomes excessive, unplug the product.

What safety precautions should I follow?

Do not alter, disassemble, puncture, crush, or expose the battery to heat above 60°C. Avoid humidity and dusty environments. Do not short-circuit the terminals. In case of leakage, avoid contact with skin or eyes. Keep the product out of reach of children.

The external battery is no longer charging, what should I do?

Check that the USB-C cable and wall charger are working. Try another cable or power source. If the problem persists, contact IKEA support.

Can I leave the battery plugged in permanently?

It is recommended to unplug the charger from the power source when not in use and after full charge. Avoid leaving the battery discharged for too long.

How to clean the external battery?

Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent, then wipe with a dry cloth. Do not immerse it in water and do not clean it while plugged in.

Charging power bank

- Connect the USB-C cable to the USB-C port of the power bank first and then connect the USB cable to a USB-charger or USB-outlet that can provide sufficient power to charge the power bank. The LED indicators will display the charging status.

Supply power to devices

• Connect the USB cable to USB-C or USB-A port of the power bank first and then connect the USB-cable to your device that you want to charge.
• The power bank will detect a connected device and start charging automatically.
• The LED indicators will display the remaining charge in the power bank during discharging.

Check power status

• Click once on the POWER button and the LED indicators will light up and indicate the remaining power status.
• If the USB cable is not disconnected while the charging process finishes, push the POWER button first to restart the charging.

Small current supply mode

• Press the POWER button for 8 seconds when your device is being charged.
• The function is mainly used to charge certain wearable electronic devices. When charging a device that needs a charging current less than 100mA via a USB-A port, this mode should be activated. You can press the button for 3 seconds to exit this mode, it also automatically closes after 2 hours.

- You can charge up to 3 devices at the same time since the charger has 2 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C port. (Power Delivery and Quick Charge)

• The USB-C port is compatible with the Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 standard and Quick Charge (QC) 3.0 standard.
• The USB-A ports are compatible with the Quick Charge (QC) 3.0 standard.
• USB cable length and quality influences charging speed and performance.
  • Devices may get warm during charging; this is completely normal and they will gradually cool down again after they are fully charged.
• Charging time may vary based on the device's battery capacity, charge level, the age of the battery and the temperature in the surrounding area.

  • Power bank operating temperature: 0^ C to 40^ C.
• Unplug the power bank from the power source before cleaning and when it is not in use.
• Power bank should not be left discharged for a longer period.
