Product usage
Before first use
- Fill the kettle with fresh water up to the MAX mark. Boil the water and discard it. Repeat the process 2 or 3 times. This will eliminate any residue created during the manufacturing process.
- Due to the manufacturing process, the unit may emit a faint burning smell when first turned on. This is completely normal and does not indicate the presence of a manufacturing defect or that the product is dangerous.
- Clean the unit (Cleaning and maintenance).
Use
- Place the unit (C, E) on a flat, dry, stable, and heat-resistant surface. For children's safety, make sure the unit and its cable are well away from the edge of the table or counter.
- Unwind the power cable from the cable storage compartment under the power base (E) and plug it into a suitable power outlet.
- Remove the kettle (C) from its power base.
- To open the lid: press the lid release button (F).
- Fill the kettle with fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN or above the MAX level mark (D).
- To close the lid: press down on the lid (A) firmly until it snaps into place.

CAUTION!
Make sure the On/Off switch is free of obstructions and the lid is closed tightly. The kettle will not switch off automatically if the On/Off switch is obstructed or the lid is open.
- To switch on the kettle: press the On/Off switch (H) down. The power indicator will light up.
- The kettle can be switched off manually at any time by lifting the On/Off switch (H), or by lifting the kettle off the power base.
- The kettle switches off automatically when the water comes to a boil. The On/Off switch will bounce up and the power indicator light will turn off.
- If you need to boil the water again, wait at least 30 seconds before pressing the On/Off switch.
- After use: unplug the unit.

CAUTION!
- Do not open the lid when steam is escaping from the spout.
• Exercise extreme caution when moving a unit containing hot water.
B
Product usage
Boil-dry protection
- The kettle is fitted with a safety device to prevent overheating. This overheat protection device shuts off the unit if the kettle is empty or there is not enough water in it.
- If the safety device is triggered, remove the plug from the mains socket. Allow the kettle to cool down to room temperature before filling it with water. Always make sure there is enough water in the kettle. Activating the safety device repeatedly may reduce the kettle's service life.
Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING!
- Before cleaning, always unplug the unit from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely.
-
Never immerse the unit (kettle, power base, power cable or plug) in water or any other liquid. Do not rinse the unit under the tap.
-
Clean the unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Make sure that no moisture gets inside the unit while cleaning it.
- Never use corrosive cleaners, wire brushes, abrasive scouring pads or metal/sharp tools to clean your unit.
- Dry the unit thoroughly after cleaning.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children and pets.
Cleaning the spout filter
Clean the filter periodically:
- Open the lid.
- Inside the spout at the front of the kettle, press down on the top tab to unhook the filter.
- Remove the filter.
- Rinse the filter with lukewarm water and use a cloth or soft brush to gently remove limescale deposits.
- To reattach the filter to the kettle, first insert the bottom tab into the bottom hole of the spout, then press down on the top tab and push it into the top hole to lock the filter.
Descaling

CAUTION!
Descale the kettle regularly. Descaling intervals depend primarily on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use. Only use commercially available descaling agents and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- Fill the kettle with water up to the MAX mark, add the descaler and close the lid.
- Start the boiling process.
- After boiling, discard the water and descaler solution.
- Avoid pouring the water and descaler solution into an enamelled water basin. Do not reuse the same mixture. If unsatisfied with the results, repeat the steps.
- Descaler residues can affect the taste of water. Boil clean water 2 to 3 times to remove any residue.
Storage
• Always unplug the unit before storing it.
- Store the unit in a fresh, dry and dust-free place, out of the reach of children and pets.
- Please retain the packaging and use it to store your unit when it is not in use for an extended period of time.
