Down to what temperature does this hose provide freeze protection?

The hose is designed to prevent freezing down to -40 °C under normal conditions. In extremely cold weather, additional insulation may be needed.

Can I use an extension cord with this hose?

No, it is strictly prohibited to use an extension cord. Plug the hose directly into a 230 V GFCI outlet.

How do I properly install the hose?

Unroll the hose completely, connect it to the water source and then to the RV, turn on the water, check for leaks, and finally plug in the power cord. Never plug in the hose before connecting the water.

What should I do if the hose leaks at the connection?

First, check for a washer inside the female connector. If missing, add one. Otherwise, wrap several layers of Teflon tape around the male connector to ensure a seal.

The LED indicator is on but the hose is not heating, what should I do?

This may indicate a quality issue or circuit overload. Verify that the outlet is properly rated 230 V and that the circuit is not overloaded. If the problem persists, contact technical support via www.vevor.com/support.

The water from the hose has an odor, is this normal?

Yes, a slight odor from the PVC material is normal and safe. The hose is BPA-free certified and safe for drinking water. Use it without concern.

Can I cut or splice the hose?

No, it is strictly forbidden to cut or splice the hose. Doing so may damage electrical components and cause serious or fatal injury.

How should I maintain and store the hose?

After each use, drain the water, unplug the cord, coil the hose with the provided straps, and store it in a dry, shaded place. The plug should be placed in a waterproof protective case.

What should I do if water freezes inside the hose?

Move the hose to a warmer location, plug it in for about 30 minutes to thaw, then let the water drain. Ensure all installation steps were followed before use.

7. There are many environmental factors that may contribute to the hose freezing. In extreme weather conditions, additional insulation around the hose may be necessary.

1. Fully uncoil and extend the hose when in use.
2. Do not use with water pressures over 600 PSI.
3. Do not attempt to cut or splice the hose - could result in serious injury or death.
4. Do not use if the ground pin is missing from the power plug.
5. Do not use where water is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
6. Do not allow water to spray into electrical outlets - could result in serious injury or death.
7. For proper use, allow water to flush through the hose for several minutes before drinking.
8. Always install the entire hose in the same ambient conditions. When using a heated water hose, do not place a portion of the hose indoors and others outdoors.

INSTALLATION METHODS

PRIOR TO USE

Heated Water Hose for RV has quick insertion type hose connections on both ends and includes a female quick insertion type adapter. It allows connecting the water supply on either end of the hose, depending on the location of the electrical outlet. Only use a certified outlet. Water tank adapter only lightly put on – the adapter does not start!

NOTE:

The heated water hose offers freeze protection down to -40°F (-40°C). And it only heats water when temperature drops to 46°F (8°C) or below. Stop heating when temperature reaches 59°F (15°C) or above.

Confirm what will be connected at each end of the hose and put both the correct locations through fully extending hose on the ground.

If working temperature is below 50°F (10°C), connect power cord to the electrical outlet for several minutes to allow the hose to become flexible, reducing the risk of being frozen. Unplug hose before continuing to Step 3.

Connect hose to water source. Connect hose to RV, mobile home, or boat. Turn on water supply and check for leaks.

NOTE:

In extremely cold weather, allowing water to drip from the faucet and flow slowly through the hose can effectively prevent the hose from freezing.

STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS

Do not at any time pull hose with excessive force. This may damage the fittings and electrical components.		✕

TROUBLESHOOTING
