3. Children should only use it with adult supervision.
4. Please wait for the fireplace to cool sufficiently before storing it to prevent burns.
5. Carbon monoxide is a colorless and transparent gas that must be discharged safely to avoid accumulation in a closed environment.
6. It is best to place a carbon monoxide detector in the space of the stove.
7. Never let children and pets near the stove, it will be very hot.
8. Try to install safety protection devices, and be careful not to let children touch their hands.
9. When using the fireplace, please put it on the fire-resistant floor to prevent the floor from catching fire.
10. Please keep the air well ventilated when use of use of the Gas Logs in tents or extended spaces.
11. Pay attention to the choice of fuel. Or paint-treated wood will discharge harmful toxins when it burns.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Why are my Gas Logs turning black?

Gas Logs can turn black for a variety of reasons.

One reason is that the Gas Logs are not getting enough oxygen, resulting in insufficient combustion. This can be caused by several factors, such as:

The chimney is too small or has restricted airflow. The damper is closed or not working properly. Something is blocking the air supply. The chimney is improperly constructed or not vented properly. If the Gas Logs are burning too hot, they will turn black. This can be caused by a gas valve that opens too far or a pilot burner that is set too high. It's best to have this addressed by a professional service person.

Gas logs turn black due to soot formation caused by clogged burner ports and wrongly placed fire logs. The purpose of fire logs is to ensure that the gas burns cleanly, so when placed improperly they block the natural path of the flames, causing soot build up and turning the logs black.

1. Do gas logs require maintenance?

Gas log sets require no daily maintenance but should be inspected annually by a professional. Logs need to be inspected for cracks and breaks and replaced if they are not in sound condition. Valves, pipes and gas connections should also inspected to ensure they are in good repair. Vent-free log sets should have the ember bed and logs cleaned to remove any buildup. If you have vented gas logs, you'll need to have your chimney inspected and swept once a year, too.

1. How To Clean Soot From Gas Fire Logs?

If you want to clean the soot from your gas fire logs, you must wait for them to cool down before you start.

Once you remove them from the fireplace, you should put them onto some newspaper to prevent making a mess.

Once you have done this, you can follow these steps to clean your gas fireplace logs.

1. Wipe the logs clean with a rag. You can remove any soot that is clinging to the logs with a dry and soft rag. Wipe it over the whole log, and the soot should brush off.

2. Clean the logs with a damp rag. Once you have finished the previous step, you can go in with a clean rag dampened with a small amount of water.

The water should be lukewarm, and you should always wring out any excess moisture. You can then wipe it over the logs to remove any excess soot.

1. You should only ever use a cleaner if approved in the owner's fireplace manual. Otherwise, you should avoid this. If you are ever unsure, then you should test it on a small and inconspicuous area of the log before going in for full cleaning.
2. If this soot has built up in small crevices, then you can use a soft bristled paintbrush or cotton swab to remove it.
3. Finally, you can vacuum up any soot that has been left behind. This will ensure that the soot does not spread throughout your home. All that is left to do is dispose of the newspaper and return the logs to their exact position within the fireplace.
