How to season my new Vevor HES250 tortilla press?

After washing and drying the press completely, apply a thin layer of vegetable oil over the entire surface with a paper towel. Then place the press in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about one hour. Let it cool in the oven. This will create a natural nonstick coating.

Can I wash my tortilla press in the dishwasher?

No, never put your cast iron press in the dishwasher. That would damage the seasoning and could cause rust. Wash it by hand with hot water and a soft brush, without harsh detergent.

How to prevent rust on my cast iron press?

Dry the press immediately after washing with a clean cloth, then place it on low heat for a few minutes to evaporate any moisture. Then apply a very thin layer of vegetable oil before storing.

Why are my tortillas sticking to the press?

This can happen if the press is not hot enough or if the seasoning is worn. Make sure to preheat the press on low-medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes. If the seasoning is damaged, re-season it.

PREPARING

Actually,you're good to go - all our cast iron cookware is pre-seasone which means it's ready for cooking!

If you wish, you can wash it with hot water and dry it off with a t using it.Just remember, any water residue is the enemy of cast iron products because water can cause rusting.So, because of that, make you dry it thoroughly on the stove after washing.

COOKING

Before cooking anything, you need to preheat your cast iron cookware just take your time and heat it on a low to medium heat. After 5 to minutes, carefully hover your handover the bottom of the cast iron ar if it's ready to go. If your food is sticking to your cookware it mean putting cold food on cold cookware.

CLEANING

The best way to clean iron is to scrub off any food residue with as crapper and wash it water. Once the utensil is clean, give it another towel dry and let it completely dry off on the stove.

Before storing the cookware in a dry place, don't forget to season it. cast iron cookware is timeless and will only improve with use!

SEASONING
